Waste of time
This book contains ten different stories by the same author, and was the first I'd ever read from this author. I actually enjoyed reading the first three stories in the book, which are from a motorcycle club series. It was a little stereotypical of MC romances,but overall not bad. The next story was awful as was the one after that and the one after that, and so on until the end. Each one was worse than the one before. I have no idea why these are considered interracial,there is very little in any of these about race, except a few vague, conflicting descriptions. Same for the ones marked as mystery and suspense. The only mystery is where are the mysteries. The characters are undeveloped and unbelievable, the romance, what little is there is cheesy,and the sex scenes waver between being too long and verbose to being so ridiculously described as to provoke laughter and eye rolling. I'm usually a bit OCD about finishing books I start, no matter how bad, looking for some redeeming quality, but I eventually reported to skimming the last few stories, just so I could finish and put this one aside. Except for the Steel Infidels stories,this was a total waste of time and energy.

What a set!
Dez Burke is a master at her craft. She brings you into her story world and make you feel like you're a part of the family or a best friend, helping out when needed. Steam is what you get when reading the love scenes and you just don't want to put them down. This box set is worth every penny.

Jesse is capable of deep feelings. They were evident in the first two books, for his brothers and the MC he is President of. He just never thought those feeling could extend to a woman. That Trish is in danger doe snot make him hesitate, he volunteers to help her before she is willing to tell him exactly what she is in. Trish is very naïve and believes her brother, as VP of the Liberators, is incapable of any illegal or horrible deeds. Even when he abuses her. Maybe a little naïve is fine, but she continues to believe he is good even after he gives her to Big Roy.

Sam is the ultimate player. There has never been a woman he did not get in his bed. Until Lila blew into town. For the first time, his tricks aren’t working. I received this ARC for an honest review!
A collection of great stories by an amazing author with a very talented mind. I have had the pleasure of reading all of these books and was not disappointed at all. My most cherish story is of the Steel Infidel MC. I love this author writing style because the storyline is exuberant and unique.
The Steel Infidels series was a great read. I really love seeing how Flint and Kendra story started, I couldn't put it down. I loved how Flint was able to be vulnerable and open up to Kendra about his relationship with his younger brother and his Mom's death. I think deep down Flint is a genuinely good guy. I love this author writing style because the storyline is exuberant and unique. The characters appears more lifelike and from the beginning to the end your attention is captured. I was hoping to read more bikers mc romance from this author.The cliffhanger ending had me on pins and needles, I did not see that coming. I couldn't wait to find out what happens next until she wrote Jesse's story. It was awesome!!

Good story but lacks depth
I tried. I really tried to like this series. But I just couldn't get past the unnecessary, derogatory language and the lack of real depth. I liked the good girl, animal-rescuing, veterinarian meets bad boy, public-defender attorney/biker aspect and looked forward to finding out more about Kendra &Flint. After reading the first book, which is really just an introduction, I was looking forward to reading the next book in the series. What a disappointment! The existing characters were never given more depth and new characters are described in such shallow terms you don't know how to feel about them. You're left without a real connection to anyone. Add to that the unnecessary inclusion and overabundance of words like "cunt" and "pussy" to describe what is supposed to be a moment of "intimate" connection and ugh! The distraction is too much. I couldn't finish the second book. I'm disappointed.

I received an ARC for my review, However....
As you can see from my profile, I have read each book in the collection as a stand alone story. To received these books in this collection for only .99 (current price at 12/26/2015) is frankly a injustice to Dez. I would honestly recommend this collection to any one that is looking for #1 books in the IR genre, #2 fast-paced hot as **** but still romantic stores and #3 and author how consistently delivers in every story that she publishes and honestly listens to the feedback from her readers.
As you can see from my profile, I have read each book in the collection as a stand alone story. Tough & Tender by Author Dez Burke is a box set full of Hot Alpha Sexy Bad Boys, Billionaires, Race Car Drivers and Marines. The stories are great, well written and downright sexy, another winner for author Dez Burke. I loved every single story in this 10 box set but I think my favorite was the Steel Infidels Motorcycle Club Series, love bikers romance books! If you don't have it, go buy it, I will definitely advise you to get it.

This is the first time i did NOT finish a book/series. I gave up on this on book 5. Sorry but in my opinion this was poorly written. Couldn't connect with the characters and there wasn't any chemistry between them. The story's jumped around to much. Plus they would end with a cliff hanger and you had to read the whole next book, to complete the first book. Unfortunately I would NOT recommend this series. This is the first time i have read anything from this author.

Gents 4 Ladies is my absolute favourite story by this author in this Box Set. This box set is most definitely worth the read and I would highly recommended it.

Dez Burke is over the top. Several delectable well written stories contained within Tough and Tender. No way to pick a fav as each one painted a vivid picture. I will say probably leaning towards the Steel Infidels if I had to pick. Love Flint Jesse and Sam. Each story touched on something different and you could relate. Trust that there is plenty of steamy alpha maleness that will make your panties wet ladies. Worth the read!!

Love this book! So many amazing stories in it. Those steel infidels are some seriously hot bikers!! Dez is such an awesome writer my autocorrect keeps changing her name to sex. I mean l, that alone should tell you how hot her books are. I definitely recommend one clicking, either a box set of a single.

Can an Alpha male be both tough and tender... you'll have to read to find out.
Wow, just WOW!!! Each and every story will grab a hold of you from the beginning and doesn't let go. This author's writing style is so smooth and fluid that you feel like you're actually experiencing the stories first-hand.

Received this set for an honest review.
Safe House:
The thing about people we look to as family is that not all are blood related. That is the way Flint, Jesse, and Sam look at the Steel Infidels Motorcycle Club. The MC were their brothers. They took them in when they needed a place to go. They would stand by them thru thick and thin. Thru the good and the bad. That is why you know it had to hurt when Flint had turned his back on the MC.
Flint who is a bad boy is an interesting character. He left the MC and got as far away from them as he could. He had become a Public Defender, now tell me you did not chuckle at the thought of that. He was trying to make a good life for himself. After his best friend Tommy’s death he returned back to his brothers, his family, the MC.
Fate has a way of bring people together that would of never met. Dr. Kendra Shaw who is a vet for the Shaw Vet Clinic and the Shaw Wildlife Center gets suckered in to the drama going on with the Steel Infidels MC and the Liberators. Flint needs a doctor under the radar. Who better the Dr. Shaw herself.
Things get pretty hot and steamy with Flint and Kendra. Trust me it is a story that you will get hooked on and you so do not want to miss out on.
Liberated:
The story of Flint and Kendra continue. The Liberators are coming after them. They are having to leave the safe house and flee for their lives. Kendra life has change so much and she knows she will never be the same. She will do whatever it takes to keep Flint safe.
Flint hates that he has put Kendra’s life in danger. He knows she is too good for him. The question is can he do he make himself let go of the best thing that has ever happen to him? He finds her addicting, but seeing her life in danger is killing him.
Things are still heating up with Kendra and Flint. Flint is hiding his past from Kendra. Thing about hiding the past is it will sooner or later catch up to you. How will Kendra react when she finds out?
Steel Justice:
WOW!!! Awesome book. I think it is best you read the other 2 books in the series before this one. I think it will give you more understanding what happen between the Steel Infidels MC and the Liberators MC. Besides the other two previous books are awesome.
This story is about Jesse who is the President of the Steel Infidels. He is thrilled that his brother had found love. He adores his future sister-in-law. Jesse is trying to get things together to throw his brother a bachelor party. That is were he saw her. The girl of his dreams. It did not matter he was surround by strippers she was perfect to him. Trisha was not going to be easy to get.
Trisha does not have an easy life. Her brother is the VP of the Liberators and did not care what happen to his sister. He was abusive and now was willing to let something really bad happen to her.
Trisha had men hitting on her every night at the bar. They thought for sure she would spread her legs for money, then she saw him. Jesse was breathe taking but she was not willing to just give in to him. Jesse was going to get a run for his money..
There is betrayal and danger for Trisha and Jesse. Sometimes you do not know what you have until it is gone. Will they ever be able to get their lives on track? Will Trisha ever get that feeling of home that she so desires?
Gens 4 Ladies:
Interesting story. Tiana wanted to impress her boss on bring a handsome man to the wedding but it seemed like all of Tiana’s male friends were busy. Leave it to her friend Alyssa to talk her into contacting a male escort service called Gents4Ladies and to top that off recommend one that is highly recommended.
Jordan who was a very successful man was surprised to receive a phone call wanting to hire him for a male escort. He was more surprised to see his photo, phone #, and other personal information up on a male escort site. Who would do this to him. Could it be a joke or could it be revenge?
There seems to be chemistry between Jordan and Tiana. Problem is Jordan is hiding the fact that he is not really a male escort. How will Tiana take to the news?
I think you will like the events that play out in this story. Yes there are some very hot and steamy parts as well.

Good entertainment
The first three books about Steel Infidels motorcycle club was a great read, sweet, rough and exiting. The books are centred around 3 brothers and their relationships. Two of them find love and now I have to read about the third brother because that book was not in there.
SKIN DEEP was a sweet story about a man who hires a actress to play his girlfriend. The story was good and easy to read, and maybe a little cliché but I still enjoyed it. Well worth the read. If I should point to something that I didn't enjoy so much it's that the erotic scenes was described in a way that wasn't fully to my liking. But that's just my opinion.
GENTS 4 LADIES was a fun and exiting book. Tiana hires an escort without knowing that he's not really an escort but a guy that's been pranked. Jordan is curious to way a woman would hire a escort and pretend to be what she wants.
This was a really sweet story with very good described characters and a playful writing style. Tiana and Jordan are so sweet and have such a connection that I felt it with them.
".......all I really wanted to do was place my heart at your feet and plead with you not to walk all over it.” The sentence made me swoon, and so did much of this book.
TRAPPED INTO MARRIAGE
Keyonna's boyfriend whom she haven't heard from in a long time while he's been away returns and want her to marry him. He won't take no for an answer so she kisses Nick to prove that she means no. But the kiss leads to so much more.
It was a sweet, fun and hot story and as the other story's it was a great read.
CLAIMED BY THE MARINE
Anna was left by her fiancé right before their wedding and is out with her friends to have a good time when she's meeting Hawk. Not like her usual self she goes home with him and have the night of her life. She assume it's a one-night stand and doesn't know her friends asked Hawk to boost her confidence by showing her a good time. But Hawk wants more.
This was sweet and short and I liked it.
CAPTURED BY THE BODYGUARD
Alexandra's father demands she have a bodyguard and when he hires Cane she is furious, but that soon turns out to more then any of them can handle.
The story was sweet, exiting and full of emotions. The suspense is very presence and maybe to long but still it's a good read.

Blake is returning to USA to see his father after 18 years living in England with his mother. He meets his fathers secretary Kira and there is a instant connection.
The story is good and sweet and hot. Some really hot scenes .
FORBIDDEN LOVE WITH THE MARINE
Olivia and Ivan have grown up together and now Olivia have strong feelings for Ivan who is in denial because he's afraid of what her father may think.
The story was a little messy but some hot scenes made up for that. The one thing lacking was they coming clean with her parents, which I thought was essential for the story. But again a entertaining read.
CAPTIVATED BY THE SOLDIER
Makayla comes home from a trip to find a hunk of a man sleeping in her bed. It turns out to be her roommates step brother Blade. He wakes up and think he's seeing an angel. But there's challenges in their future.
Good read and hot scenes.

I love that a lot of Ms. Burkes books are in 1 HOT package! I had purchased and loved the Steel Infidels series and Skin Deep, which introduced me to her books this past year, but the remaining 7 books are all new to me and boy are they awesome! Hot Marines, Sexy Motorcycle guys, bodyguards and even a scintillating businessman who poses as a male escort! My favorites will always be the Steel Infidels and Skin Deep but the remaining stories and the BONUS book all make Ms. Burke an automatic 1-click for me!

Fabulous set. Steamy and deep emotions.
Dez Burke is my new fAvorite author. Dez takes an idea and puts a fabulous spin to make the story interesting. These stories are written so well, the reader must keep turning the page. I bought this set not knowing I had already purchased the first three books but that was okay because the Infidels- bikers were so good I knew the other stories in this set had to be great.
Love Dez's books.

Amazing Books
I have to say that Dez Burke is a very creative writer. I have truly enjoyed reading every book in the Bad Boy Romance Box Set!! I have to say that the Steel Infidels is my favorite but each and every one of the books kept me interested in reading every book. Dez really knows how to pull you into the story and making you wish it was happening to you. Can't wait for the next Steel Infidels book to come out.

I loved this box set and I loved every book in the bundle. Some of the books I hadn't read yet and I am glad that I got the chance to read them. My favorite book out of the bundle would definitely be the Steel Infidels series. This is definitely a must read box set you will not be disappointed!!!

So many errors! And the "c word"
While the stories were enjoyable,it became increasingly difficult to read because of errors... not just a multitude of grammatical errors,but on two occasions, the character names were wrong!!
And, if the "c word" makes you cringe,these books are not for you.

So many of the first stories of this set were great reads. The last few seem to be earlier works that weren't as polished. I like Burke's writing style and her characters have enough likability to make even the bad books somewhat enjoyable. I think she does a good millionaire romance and I liked that once in a while the woman was the rich one.

I actually only got this book for only one story, Skin Deep. I didn't read any of the other stories. So basically I decided to "rate" this book 3 stars because it was middle of the road and the only fair thing to do.
Now as for the one story I DID read, I would like to give skin Deep 4 stars. It was an interesting story with a fantastic HEA.

In this box set, some stories were good, others were quite frankly tedious to get through. The MC stories held one's interest more than others. If you just need something to read while the "book" you are waiting for comes out, this boxed set is for you.

This boxset contants ten different stories. I enjoyed the MC stories which just happened to be the first 3 books. After that the stories were just ok.
