Workplace Prayers similar to Janie McGee's Prayers for Black Women at Work, Office, Home and Business were books I needed BADLY in my twenties, yet I would have scoffed at anyone who suggested I pray to survive and thrive in the workplace. In fact, when I was around 23 years old and encountered one of many professional challenges, an older woman (she was maybe in her 40s) suggested that I pray. I looked at her like she was crazy. I did not see how a spiritual practice could make a difference in the secular work world. Yet, prayer, and the resulting peace and serenity—trust in God that all is working for my good, is exactly what I needed. I read Workplace Prayers as a Kindle Unlimited read, but will definitely be purchasing a copy to read over and over again.
