Ori always believed there had to be more to life than the boundaries of his village. There was only one problem: omegas were not allowed to leave. Ever. Willing to risk everything to find something more than life as a breeder, he runs. His path inevitably crosses that of a handsome and charming, red-haired wandering alpha simply called Siv. The two make an unlikely pair and surprisingly good traveling companions. For once in his life, Ori finds himself happy, and in that happiness, he finds he might just trust this mysterious stranger. And Ori has a tendency to follow his instincts. For better or for worse.

Short but very satisfying. What I loved best was Ori's feisty personality. He was an omega in a world that treated omegas as sex slaves but he was brave enough to run. Even confronted with overwhelming forces and danger he always fights and curses and flails. Siv was a mysterious character that Ori isn't sure he can trust; I had an idea what his story was but that didn't make it any less captivating. The story comes to a head twice with big build ups each time. The first I knew would happen but I wasn't at all sure how the second was going to resolve. When everything wraps up I was smiling and, once again, shaking my head at Ori's cheek. This looks like the start to great new series. I loved it!!!! There was an excellent balance of humor, angst and romance. I would have loved for this to be even just a few more pages longer so I could get a full out, graphic sex scene (but that's just me...I'm a pervert) and to get a better grip on the chemistry between Ori and Siv. I can't say much about them except that they're cute together. Siv is also a bit of a mystery while Ori's personality is very clear.
Grammar niggled at me quite a bit. Maybe this should have been read over one more time? It wasn't overwhelming though.
Overall, pretty good story. Would love to read more.
A very simple short story with a touch of a Cinderella feel. It was a good read and even on audiobook is barely an hour long. It doesn’t get too deep at any point but that’s expected with how short it is.
I just started book 2 in the series and am realising that book 2 seems to take this story and expands it a great deal adding a lot to it and making a good story a great one.
Umm well fuck you fuck you fuck you and for an added insult fuck you as well
This story hurt..and not in the good way...how dare he..how dare he break my heart like that. I don't give a crap that he is fictional but you don't hide you identity and expect people to be OK with that. Prince or not someone is getting an ass kicking, good think my good friend and personal bestie decided to do that for me. I personally would have liked a little more ass in that kicking but beggers can't be choosers. That being said. I got way to invested in this story and lost my fight with a bagel. Hope you are happy author..my daughter ate my bagel while I was reading this.
OK so the romance. I wish we could see more of it. I hate that this story was so short because it could have been a master piece had we just been able to not only see his life in the village more but also his life while he was free. I feel like it was rushed so it that it could fit in one book. Had it been spread out I would have lost more than a bagel...I would have lost my heart ....
OK that was sappy but you get the idea. This felt like the cliff notes to an amazing read. I can't wait to see what happens next. I have high hopes for this author.
This was a short but cute story. Siv and Ori were perfect for each other. Siv the strong silent type and Ori,even though scared when they first met , his true personality and spunkiness came out. Finding ones mate is a huge deal and hey, if he turns out to be a Prince, well all the better.
It is a nice start to a series and I cannot wait to see what happens between Ori and Siv. Editor needs to go over once more for a few errors, but other than that it was an enjoyable read.
Brilliant book as a first in series. Great loveable characters. I Loved Ori and Siv from the start. Also an original story line which is rare these days.
