The shift is about to hit the fan...

Ty Harris thought he'd left trouble behind when he departed the Blood Wolves, a special paramilitary unit, and opened a biker bar. Unfortunately for him, trouble comes with a capital T in the form of one sassy, fast-talking brunette who gets under his skin in a way no human should be able to.

Tolly Hollister has a plan in life. Namely to annoy Ty Harris to no end, all the while denying her attraction to the guy she's known most of her life. But her plans are sidelined when she's caught in the middle of an all-out attack on Ty and his revolutionary invention. Oh, and did he forget to mention the little bitty tidbit about being a freaking werewolf?

To protect his uber-secret firewall, Ty is prepared to pull out all the stops, including introducing Tolly to a world she wasn't prepared to face. Can he save his invention and win the girl at the same time? Only time will tell, but time is the one thing Ty doesn't have left...

I really enjoyed this second installment of I Heart Shifters. This is Ty and Tolley's story and it has an amazing number of twists and turns. It's tightly plotted, and the characters are likeable and believable. Ty created a cyberwall that the bad guys want. It created problems in the first book of this series, and it's still hanging fire here. Over the course of the book, Ty discovers what's really important to him and takes firm steps to protect what's his. I don't want to say more because I don't want to leave spoilers, but Ms. Gissendaner's writing is crisp and clear. Her characters' dialogue is snappy and realistic, and the plot and character arcs weave well together. Both Ty and Tolley have some growing to do. I truly appreciated that both were strong characters. I hope the next book features Ty's brother. It would be logical, as he's overdue for some self-exploration.

No! Tolly was off-limits. 5 GOLD PAWS UP

"What do you eat? As a wolf, I mean.” You if you’d let me. His wolf howled with excitement. What a SHIFTASTIC story!! I loved everything about it - the humor, friendship, teasing, the irony & sarcasm, the hot stuff, the surprises, just ALL of it!! I was hooked from the beginning straight through to The End! AWWWW! I want a Ty to call my own now too! He is so 'take charge' but sweet at the same time. Not that HE would admit that! Of course, being all hot & well, HOT doesn't hurt either! Tolly cracked me right up! She is feisty, hot and has no idea that she just poked the wolf and must pay the 'price'! *dreamy sigh* I would pay that price any & EVERY day, ALL DAY! My favorite feature of shifter books is when the animal has its own personality & how it communicates with its human. Christy does this part so PAWFECTLY!! In fact, Christy does EVERY part of this story PUUURRRFECTLY!! I find this book is greatly enriched by the descriptions, by the cast of characters as well as the overall storyline. Those same characteristics also add depth to the story, taking it from a "fluffy" story, to the gem that it is!! With each book of Christy's that I read, I can't help but wish I had "discovered" her AFTER she had written like 100 books just as SHIFTACULAR as this one because I ABSO-FREAKIN'-LUTELY LOVE HER & HER BOOKS and I don't want to stop reading them, but I have to because I have READ THEM ALL!! Christy is a phenomenally talented and truly gifted author who transports me immediately into her stories, allowing - NO, MAKING me experience & live the story both with & AS her characters to the point that I forget about my pain & other health problems!! Of course, I say 'making me' meaning that her writing, characters & story lines draw me in so deep that it is IMPAWSSIBLE to NOT become lost in the story itself!! THAT is the VERY reason that I love Christy's books and wish that I could stay living in them, FUREVER & EVER!!

Really enjoyed this short story. I hope that Ty's brother gets a book to and makes this a trilogy!
