What a pleasant surprise! This is my first book that I've read from his author and I'm sure it won't be the last. When I saw the blurb for the story I thought 'That sounds like an interesting story, why not give it a go.', and that's exactly what I did. So happy how the story turned out. There is basically almost no drama and what little it is it's done in a very good way with great emotional background. Also, I loved that the heroine, Trish, and the hero, Boone, didn't have moments of doubt about each other. That really added more to the story and I believed in their relationship more. Had one of them chosen a different path, I'm sure I wouldn't like the story as I do now. I'm not sure, if this is a slow burn romance story but to me it felt like the perfect pace. They didn't fall in bed with each other at first sight and that's what this story needed. They definitely became great friends and that's what both needed to happen first.

description

I enjoyed both Trish and Boone's character. They are just such fun to read about. And the way they are with each other, yeah, they make a great team, professionally and personally. As the blurb says, they a re co-stars of a movie they are making and Boone has some real trouble diving into his character and making him come alive on the screen. He's making Trish and the crew some gray hairs and at the final decision of the director, he has ten days to make a brilliant performance or the movie whole is canceled. And that's where Trish, his co-star comes in. At first she wants to kill him for not taking the role seriously enough but as they spent more time together, just the two of them, she starts to see the real Boone, not the partying rock star that he makes everyone believe he is. Boone is an amazing person who cares for his family more than anything and that really comes to show as the story goes on. It's safe to say that I loved how the story progressed. Trish really knew how to be a first class actress but that's not all that she is. She loves her family, has a big heart, can be stubborn, sometimes a bit pushy and just knows how to handle Boone. She pushes his limits and helps him defeat some of his demons that are holding him back from shooting one particular scene in the movie.

description

I can't tell you enough times how much I loved this story. Since this is a series we also get to see characters from previous books and I have to say that I really liked them all. Trish's brohers are so OTT protective, it's insane but that only makes them that more adorable and likable. Boone's family is super great, too! And don't even got me started on the cute little kitten that captured both Boone and Trish's hearts. Soooo cute!!! Just for that reason alone I would give this book a chance.
I definitely recommed it!

This wasn’t your typical sassy girl meets rock star for so many reasons.

Boone Stryker isn’t your typical rock star. Sure, on the outside he’s sold as the bad ass rocker who has a new woman every night but in reality he is quite serious. He’s serious about the people in his life, he’s serious about the new project he took on and he’s serious about loving and helping those closest to him. In actual fact the man doesn’t possess a cocky bone in his body.

The romance between Trish and Boone wasn’t what you typically find in a rock star romance novel either. Sure there was plenty of push and pull between them. There were misunderstandings and preconceptions and judgments made. There was an instant attraction between the two of them and still this turned out to be a sweet slow burn. Instead of all of the above making this an angsty read however, their relationship was anything but.

Sure problems arose and there were many occasions that held the opportunity to rip them apart, but instead of this book being about a romance that followed a straight line this book was more like a winding a journey down uncertain paths. That’s not to say that there wasn’t any sexual tension because there was plenty! There was also plenty of witty banter and funny moments but all in all this was a sweet and enjoyable journey about two people learning what to hold onto and what to let go of.

CHASED BY LOVE is the third book in The Ryders series and this is Trish’s story. Trish is an actress who doesn’t take her job for granted. When she lands a role that will put her opposite an A-list rock star, Trish wonders if this movie will make or break her career because although the movie will do well if Boone Stryker is a part of it, everyone is looking at him to see if he can actually act.

Unfortunately, there’s added pressure for the rock star Boone because in addition to this major movie that he needs to film, there is also quite a lot going on with his family life. Despite the fame and money he has, it can’t help the situation with his family very much. There’s drug use involved but I don’t want to talk about here so much because I think actually reading it is part of what deepens Boone’s character as a whole. He’s presented as his hardcore rock star in the beginning who has groupies swarming him, but the thing with Melissa Foster’s characters is that they are never truly what they seem. As you read the book you definitely come to know Boone as a man other than a rock star and I think the family part that I mentioned earlier plays a huge part in that.

In terms of originality, this book does follow your typical troubled bad boy rock star who kind of gets reformed in the end. But for me, Boone works because of how Foster was able to delve deeper into his characterization.

Trish is also wonderful. She doesn’t allow Boone to walk over her and I liked that about her. She’s a very strong woman and I liked that she was willing to put her career before everything else. You don’t really see that very much in a lot of other books anymore and I thought it made Trish very distinct.

Their romance is complex and frustrating at times as they go both back and forth between liking and hating each other so I wouldn’t say it’s the most smoothest romance Foster has written, but I don’t mean that because of the writing or anything. Trish and Boone have to go through a lot before they get their HEA, which is why, when it comes, it’s that much more inspiring. Obviously if you are a fan of either family series or rock stars, this is one worth reading.

Fall in love with Boone and Trisha. Rock star. Actress. Romance. Crash and burn? Not exactly. I did not get the typical rock star/actress romance. Don't get me wrong Boone was rock star that had the typical past of a rock star. But this point in his life something has to give and a change was on the horizon for him. Trisha was an actress that took her job seriously and love it that way. She has the chance to make her crafts shine and enjoy the interaction of a rock star along the way. She just was not expecting the interaction she got.

Take a stab and dive right in to the slow building romance that can give you another way to fall in love with a high profile romance. There was an attraction that burned the walls around them and scorched the people in close proximity, but there was also a strong fierce woman that demanded more than was being offered at first glance. Trisha knew who she was and excepted nothing but what she deserved.

Trisha and Boone had more to offer the other than a quickie. They took the time to build their friendship allowing for the trust and respect to flourish. That trust and respect allowed for them to not have to question the other about this or that. Good characters, good interaction, good build to that lasting relationship. And we get to visit some of the past characters from earlier in the series. No doubt about it I will be continuing on in the Love in Bloom series. YOU should too or start. You are guaranteed to find characters to help you fall in love.

**sigh** I really should read more Melissa Foster books because I do so enjoy them so much. But then I think ... if I binge, then I'd have to wait for her to write a new one LOL This way, there's always one I can go back to and read as long as I pace them out. She's a great go-to author because she hits the mark almost every time (and I say almost because I haven't read every single book of hers so I can't really say always). He characters make sense. Their drive makes sense. Their journey makes sense. And that's crucial in a story. And most important, when she creates a characters, she sticks with it till the end. So her characterization makes sense. And her stories are real and relatable. You can sink right into them for a few hours while you read them.

She went above and beyond with this plot and gave it a nice little twist that will grab you and keep you interested. It's a work-place trope, but not your usual boss/subordinate role. They weren't working out as expected so they were given 10 days to get their act together to make this movie happen and start working well together .... well, they certainly accomplished THAT :)

This story was low on the angst and high on the heart. I smiled and had fun thru the entire thing. They truly were and unlikely couple on the outside that made very good sense on the inside and I loved it!

Josie's Review 4.5 STARS

I absolutely love that this author has the ability to write a story with real life issues that keep me coming back for more. In Chased by Love Melissa added just the right amount of romance, drama and emotions that it was totally engrossing. Once I picked up this book I wanted to know a lot more about Trish and Boone. I honestly couldn’t get enough of these two. The story was written very well and the characters and relationship between them all came naturally. Most importantly they were believable.

Trish is a serious, dedicated and a passionate character. She is a Ryder, when she loves she loves just as hard and intense as her brothers do. Her career is something she does not take for granted and works hard to remain on top. She is cast to star in a powerful and important role that will make her career. You can see the dedication she has to her profession as well as her interest in the movie. Of course having Boone the gorgeous rock God as her computer star is also rewarding. The problem is Boone is messing up and ruining her big chance.

Boone is so not what the tabloids paint him out to be. He took this role because of the underlining message behind it.. Boone is so sweet and caring, he wants to nail this character but it’s just impossible. When the movie executives threatened to pull the plug, Trish and Boone are forced to share 10 days together.

These characters are total opposites. They come from different backgrounds but are so much alike. I loved how the author handled their unique relationship. I loved that she gave them the time to get to know one another and open up. Their road to love was intense and at times they clashed, but what made them unique was their willingness to succeed. Boone meets his match in Trish because when they give into their desires she goes all in. I loved that Boone is a total alpha and just like the Ryder men he loves fiercely and hard. I loved how we see standoff between Boone and the Ryder men. I could not stop laughing.

This story was fast paced and unlike the normal drama filled love stories we tend to see. Chased by Love deals with the ability to let others in and share your burdens. Chased by Love was such an incredible and enjoyable read and I was sad to see it end. If you are looking for a light summer read without a lot of drama then this is one you’ll want to grab.

Actress Trish Ryder is not a diva, but she does take her job seriously, and has no time for those who don't. Her latest project is a major role in a new movie with America's hottest rock star, Boone Stryker, which has the makings for an oscar nod. She was super excited to work with him, but when he starts slacking, her opinion quickly changes. Trish decides to confront him, but instead she sees his wild lifestyle of sex, booze, and women, up close and isn't impressed. The director finally gets fed up with them, so he sends them to the next location to sort their stuff out for 10 days alone before everyone else follows. Sparks are flying, but Trish refuses to be one of his groupies. Instead, she is a one of the few people in the world that gets to see the real Boone, and she finds feelings are quickly developing. What will happen to the deep connection they have going when the rest of the world descends on them again?

Ok, I absolutely LOVED every minute of this story! The character development is great, with a highly entertaining cast of secondaries. Angsty moments had me very emotional, and then I would turn around and be laughing hard in the next moment. The simmering chemistry finally boils over into SMOKIN' HOT sexy scene goodness that I couldn't get enough of, and I have to say that it was great that there isn't some scandalous female trying to get between them. Melissa Foster's super talented writing style had me all in cover to cover, and I didn't put the story down until I finished the last page. I'm highly addicted to her stories, and still want to kick my own behind for taking so long to finally read her. My level of excitement is at an all time high for each new book, and of course, all that I havent read yet, so of course, I'm going to HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chased by Love!

~ 5 Sparky Stars ~

Chased By Love was a very enjoyable read. I truly loved this book. I got swept up in the story and the characters. Even though this is part of a series, this is the first book in that series that I have read and I don’t feel like I missed anything. I also didn’t feel like this book spoiled any of the previous novels. I do know that after reading this book I plan to go back and read the other books in this series. I loved the Ryder clan :)

What I loved the most about this book was that Melissa gave us a book that was a fun and sexy beach read, but also had a strong message behind it. She was able to hit all my emotions. The connection between Trish and Boone made me smile, swoon and laugh. But the background story of Boone is what tugged at my heartstrings. She does touch on a tough topic in this book. She shows us the harsh side of addiction and what it does not only to the person with the addiction but those who love and support those people.

“ Addictions are powerful, and once they take hold, it’s a wonder anyone can break free from them.”…. Trish

Along with addiction, Melissa also showed us the importance of looking beyond a person outside and getting to know the real person on the inside. Boone is a musician who had perfected the craft of building a “fake” persona for his fans. He does this as a way to protect his family and friends. That is until he meets Trish and she sees past his facade.

“ Sometimes we have to look beyond the camouflage to get to the heart of things.”… Trish

I loved the connection between Trish and Boone. They had their share of ups and downs. And things that would normally push them apart, but what was a refreshing switch was how functional Melissa made this couple. Instead of running away all the time like we usually see, Trish and Boone stayed and worked things out. I thought that was great. Now I know some will say this book lacked drama that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat, but to me it had just the right amount of drama to keep me turning the pages, but it also made the couple feel realistic. Trish was such an amazing heroine. I truly loved her!!! Boone was an amazing Hero as well and talk about swoon worthy…..he was!!!!

“ While the physical worlds we come from may differ, the things that matter most - morals and values, family, friends - aren’t so different after all.” … Trish

I would 100% recommend this book. If you are looking for that fun, sexy and sweet love story, that also touches on some serious stuff but isn’t loaded down with over the top drama, then this is the book to read.

The night I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. Trish and Boone were intriguing and the sizzle between them was excellent. There were a couple of scenes that gave my stomach a tingle just reading them. Eventually, the need for sleep forced me to stop reading.

When I picked back up the next day I never regained that same level of enthusiasm. I still enjoyed the book but it began to drag. Once Trish and Boone realize they care for each other, they are solid and nothing seriously threatens their relationship though there are several situations that could have. The sexual attraction between the two becomes less of a focus as the book develops. It’s mentioned but not explored and I missed that.

The book is steeped in optimism. Boone is the perfect guy despite a crafted bad boy reputation. Trish is a sweetheart and untainted by her fame and acting success. They both have many loving family members supporting them. They fit well into each other’s families and are quickly accepted. Though they each make a couple of missteps, they are minor and easily overcome.

What negativity exists is completely overshadowed by love and family. There are situations that in real life are horribly painful; battles with drug addiction (one lost, one ongoing), the loss of a parent, poverty, a somewhat out of control younger brother, etc., but none of these situations quite reached that level of tension to keep the reader on edge. To many readers this will not detract from the story but I felt it needed more. The pessimist in me found the Cinderella story a little hard to believe. You may love the book for that exact reason. Foster is a very good writer and even my pessimist enjoyed watching Boone and Trish’s relationship develop.

Chased by Love is the first book I have read in the Ryder's series and i found it enjoyable. At first I wasn't sure what to expect because a rock star and an address are getting together but while reading I was actually very pleased with how the story came together.

Trisha came off as bitchy at times especially where Boone was concerned but she was down to earth, loved her family and an overall good heroine for this book. I wasn't sure what Boone would be like but he was nothing like I expected. I expected him to be this big player and sleep with anyone who walked but under what everyone thought of him he was sweet, protective and genuinely a great guy. I mean dude saved a kitten from the streets so that counts for something!

The relationship between these two moved a little fast then I normally like but it also feels like this book started in the previous book. I'm only saying that because Trisha and Boone are already onset making this movie and crushing on one another which makes me wonder did something start with them in the last book? Hmm I guess I'll have to read to find out.

I honestly wasn't expecting so many detailed love scenes which I enjoyed. It showed how much these two were actually cared for one another and how deep they were falling. Overall, I enjoyed this one and glad I read it. Foster did a great job on writing likable characters who both were in the spotlight and neither really looked for the attention. This is one series I plan on reading the previous books at some point.

Boone Stryker and Trish Ryder are made for each other. Their romance was slowly developed which made for a strong foundation. Boone is a rock star, and nothing what you would expect. Trish is an actress with a strong dedication to her job. This book takes unexpected turns. One of the best parts of the book is how you don't just get to know the main characters. You really get to know their families. This is another great read from Melissa Foster. Very emotional, raw and touching.

If you want a swoony hero, Boone Stryker is the hero for you! He was perfect! A bad boy rock star who loves his family deeply and would do anything to protect them. And when he fell for Trish, he added her to that list.

This was a great read that showed two very close knit families. I loved it!

Review:
Melissa Foster is a prolific author who writes wonderful romance stories. This book is part of the Love in Bloom series about the Ryder family, and is about Trish Ryder. It is a stand alone novel that can be read independently of the series. The plot of this story takes place on various movie locations. Trish is an actress starring in a breakout role as a strung out drug addict. Boone Stryker is a sexy rock star who is expanding his career into acting. The subject matter hits too close to home and Boone’s past causing him to distance himself from his character. As a last ditch effort, the director sends Boone and Trish off on their own to the next location, a farm house, where Trish is charged with coaching Boone until he can get it right. As the coaching intensifies so does the lust between the two co stars. The chemistry is hot and intense. This book moves along quickly, but there are some deeper aspects to this book involving drug addiction. This book has a good ending, and strong character development.

“She made him want to escape the chaos in his own life.”

“Passion lives inside you, Boone. even when you try to hide it, it’s lying in wait. All you have to do is set it free.”

“Being with you is like playing with fire. You push me like no one else ever has. I should run, but I can’t imagine a single day without seeing you.”

One of the things I love about Melissa Foster is that she never fails to deliver. I can always count on her for sweet, swoon worthy romance, alpha males and low drama. And Chased by Love was just the romance that I was looking for.

One of the things that I loved about Chased by Love was that it wasn’t your typical rock star/ movie star romance. This story is told from dual points of view, and really showcased the struggles that some musicians and actors deal with. The lifestyle on both counts isn’t always sunshine and roses. Musicians can be very private people and can have a ton of demons that haunt them. In the same breath, movie stars aren’t always as they appear either. There is so much more to Boone and Trish than meets the eye and I loved diving into their story.

Boone & Trish pulled me into their story right away. From the moment you meet these two, you can just feel the sparks between them. The tension was just brewing, begging to be unleashed. And once the passion these two had been fighting was finally given into…Oh, boy…Was it ever explosive!!! Not only was their chemistry hotter than ever, but Boone and Trish really were the perfect match. Being from a family with all boys, Trish didn’t scare that easy. She could take the hard and difficult stuff that Boone was dishing out and be the shoulder that he needed to lean on. And Trish showed Boone what real passion was like and that it was ok to fall in love. I loved the side of Boone that Trish brought out. I honestly don’t think Boone knew what to do with his possessive, alpha side and I think that made me fall all the harder for him.

What can I say about Chased by Love? Chased by Love is the third book in The Ryders Series, but I gotta tell you, it can be read as a stand-alone. You won’t be lost at all. That’s one of the other things I love about Melissa Foster’s books. Even though they are all part of interconnected series’, you honestly can jump in at any time and feel right at home. These stories are easy to follow and easy to fall in love with.

Chased by Love is a fantastic summer read. It’s well written and entertaining. The characters are so much fun and you can’t help but fall in love with them the moment you meet them. This story for the most part is light on the drama and angst. It is filled with lots of love and romance, steamy moments and lots of great family time. I loved everything about this story from beginning to end and can’t wait to see what Melissa Foster has up her sleeve next.

I was given a copy of this book to read and review honestly for Wicked Reads.

Hollywood glitz and bad boy rockers are two of my guilty pleasure so I expected to enjoy this story more than I did. For me, the movie star aspect of this story didn’t really ring true and the bad boy rocker felt more than a little bit whiny. I enjoyed the small town that Bodie and Trish film in and I enjoyed some of the movie making details.

Trish was a little bit too perfect for me. Too nice, too pretty, too easy going, too talented. The result is bland perfection which just isn’t very interesting. And once Boone’s bad boy image is destroyed a few chapters into the story, he is also a little bit too perfect. With the love connection established very early in the book, I really didn’t find much to keep my interest.

There are more interesting characters on the periphery of this story, but there are also problems with these characters. At one point Boone’s mother is getting older and only wants a comfortable chair by the fire to read in. Shortly after, we learn that she is only in her forties and needs to be dating again.

Overall, this was an underwhelming read. Boone and Trish’s relationship didn’t excite me and I found myself struggling to finish the story, hoping for some genuine conflict to liven it up.

**5 Dirty Kitchen Table Stars**

I’m just gonna come out and say it. I am officially in love with Melissa Foster. Her books, they just sweep me away, until the only thing I can think about are the characters that just come to life when I’m reading her stories.

Let’s start with Trish. The hot actress with a crush on her philandering groupie-loving co-star. Well, that’s what she assumes anyways. She’s smart, a hell of an actress, and beautiful to boot. I wouldn’t mind trading places with her anytime soon. And Boone. *wolf whistle* Sex, Hot rocker man, who loves his momma and sings. swoon

This book was a complete package, and I loved every second of it. I couldn’t get enough of the chemistry, and I loved the playful stubborn banter between both the H and h. It was a magnificent read. Another 5 stars Ms. Foster!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

Once again Ms Foster has written a totally adorable story. I haven't met a bad one yet, and don't expect to, ever! Do make sure that you give yourself a good long run at this, as it is very difficult to stop turning the pages.

There is the potential for angst, and all manner of uncomfortable truths given the background of these leads, but instead we get the delicious romance that Ms Foster is so good at writing. Take into account the lovely setting of the story, which is a great feature of these series; small town and plenty of characters. And of course family play an important part in ensuring that the reader is drawn into the book and is able to identify with at least one person and become part of the clan. I love the detail, the authenticity of the emotions and the romance. I liked that it bucked the trend of needing a big drama to make the story, and how even the biggest stars have normal needs and desires.

A lovely romantic read.

4 Stars!

This was an excellent story and I didn’t want it to end!

Trish Ryder is an actress who takes her roles very seriously, always practicing and putting her all into her role. Her newest movie “love interest” is the rockstar she’s had a crush on for years, Boone Stryker. Trish is so excited to work with Boone but once production begins and Boone is less than helpful with the move Trish starts to worry that Boone isn’t the man she’d dreamt him as. Then the director demands that Trish and Boone spend 10 days locked together doing nothing but working on their roles and things heat up between the two. Trish quickly realizes that there is a lot more to Boone than she’d been thinking and he’s taking the move role a lot more serious than she’d thought.

I really love that this is such an original plotline, we’ve started to get a lot of the same old thing lately with authors and I feel like this was definitely a fresh new romance. It didn’t have many supporting characters which I think took away from the story a bit and is why I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars. As always with Melissa Foster’s stories I was left wanting more once the story ended and I can’t wait for her next release!

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Trish dreams of being taken seriously as an actress. Boone devotes himself to living the life of a rock star. Having nothing in common except for creative aspirations, there was no reason for them to meet. Until a major role in a movie has their paths crossing and the sparks flying. Chased By Love can be interpreted in a number of ways. My personal interpretation was of people who loved the ability to escape reality and masquerade in a world of their own creation. What each has to learn is how to face problems head on, lower the barriers and let love in. I received an ARC of Chased By Love in exchange for an honest review. Ms. Foster writes amazing stories that force a reader to look beneath the surface to gain the full impact. Makes for compelling and emotional reads.

This isn't my favorite Melissa Foster but she still delivers. The rock star and actress partnering were not as relatable as some of her other pairings but I appreciate the fantasy element and the attempted normalcy of some of their personal problems. Boone and Trish are a hot couple with loads of chemistry but Boone is hiding turmoil in his personal life that is distracting him from his movie role and Trish has to get them on board for this film. Every kiss sizzles and there is plenty of heat. Foster delves into drug addiction and family commitment. The dialogue snaps and the story flows. Foster is always a solid entry in Romance reading.

Trish Ryder and Boone Stryker's story has begun as you thought it should be. She is an actress, he is a rock singer who wants to be an actor and in the beginning of the book is supposed to be surrounded by groupies and partying everywhere. But, as we unfold this book nothing turns out as predicted since Bonne has a secret agenda that we he protects dearly and is a totally different person that we once thought.
Trish and Bonne's chemistry is carefully being developed into understanding and trust and is important for the foundation of their relationship.
This book is sexy, deep and has all the dear Ryders for us to meet again!

Chased by Love is the third book in The Ryders series. It can be read as a standalone. I’ve been binge reading (& listening to) Melissa Foster books completely out of order with no problem. But I can say that after reading Claimed by Love I was really looking forward to Trisha’s story.

Trisha Ryder is an actress who is serious about working hard and advancing her career. When she is cast opposite rock star Boone Stryker, she is worried that his apparent lack of work ethic will affect her goals.

Boone has always been the protector to his friends and family. He feels responsible for the people (& kittens!) he loves. When he is being pulled in too many directions his work becomes a casualty.

I loved the audiobook of this sweet and swoony story and I can’t wait to listen to more!

Hot, sweet romance between a rock star branching out into acting and his serious actress co-star. Since they're doing a movie together, the action is almost exclusively in the movie-making environment. He has issues, but they're mostly external. It's a good, fun read. I liked it.

Actress Trish Ryder takes her job seriously and has no time for those who don’t. When she’s awarded a major role in a new movie featuring America’s hottest rock star, Boone Stryker, she’s beyond excited. The six-two, tattooed hunk of burning desire is known for his dedication to his craft—but when he ditches their first meeting, she begins to wonder if he’s just another rocker with a great PR team.

Sex, booze, women, and music pretty much sum up Boone Stryker’s private world. He’s coasted through life playing by his own rules with plenty of people willing to cover his tracks, and he’s not likely to change—until he meets a woman who refuses to give him the time of day, much less anything more.

Sparks fly from the first moment Trish and Boone meet—Tensions run hot and desire runs hotter when they’re trapped together on a remote location with no place to hide. Will sparks ignite, or will a hurricane douse the flames?

Review:
I have read a lot of books by this author that are good. This book did not disappoint. I loved the dynamics between Trish and Boone. They first come together as he is in the next movie with her as her leading man. I absolutely love them together. Their chemistry is spot on. I like how she was no nonsense and did not stand for attitude. She was an in your face woman. Boone is not what he seems or is portrayed. He is a loving caring man that puts everything before himself. I loved that about him. He has a list. If you are his person you are on that list.

I like how you get five brothers who don’t care how old their sister is, she is still their little sister. Boone is the older brother and he gets it, because he is the same way. Circumstances arrive and they are thrust together for ten days to get Boone together for this role. I really could go on and on this but had so many elements in it. It had love, friendship, companionship, hardship, breaking points and most of family. I like how they all work well together. Boone, oh god Boone, I wanted a Boone. He was an amazing man that would do anything to protect the people he loves and cares about. He was protective, possessive, loving, and caring. Every man deserves a Trish, she was great with him and knew exactly how to handle him. I was able to read about the other Ryders and got more of the other relationships and new relationships to come. I am excited to read the next book to see Jake and see more into the previous characters.

Another engaging and entertaining installment in the ‘Ryders Love in Bloom’ series and as I have come to expect Melissa Foster did not let me down. I am at a lost has to how she is able to accomplish it, but her stories keep getting better and better. As soon as I hear that she has a new book coming out I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy.

With ‘Chased by Love she has hit a home run. Since being introduced to her work in the past two years I have read several of her books and this is my favourite thus far. The story had everything needed to keep me glued to the pages. I can’t stop thinking about Trish and Boone. Their romance was not the stuff made of fairy tales. Sure, there was an attraction between them, but their love for each other grew over time.

Trish had been crushing on Boone for some time, so when the opportunity came for her to work alongside him she was ecstatic. However, that excitement soon faded when his actions made her question his dedication to the current project. Added to that he appears to be having difficulty with the role he has been assigned. To ensure that the movie stays on track Trish is forced to spend 10 days with Boone to get him into character. She was definitely not looking forward to it, especially now that her perception of him has changed. However, the more time she spends with him she would discover that she was too quick in her judgement of him. He has proven to be a compassionate, sensitive, selfless and family oriented guy. Did I mention that he can cook? That made him even more adorable.

Trish is strong and tenacious. She knew that there was something preventing Boone from getting into character and she was determined to get him to open up about what was troubling him. This was not an easy task as he had erected walls that not many people could break through. Trish, however, was able to break through and in the process discovered a love that transcends social barriers.

These two were not without their faults and this made them realistic and relatable. Trish was quick to rush to judgement about Boone without getting the facts. I am sure that this is something we can all relate to. This is something that I have been guilty of at some point. It is a typical human reaction. As for Boone he had a lot to learn about what it meant to be in a relationship. What I like most about Trish and Boone was that they were not afraid to acknowledge their faults. They were honest and accepted each other for who they were. They brought the best out in each other.

I enjoyed this installment. It illustrated how quick persons are to pass judgement on others based on hearsay. It revealed that not because the media says it’s so, does not necessarily mean that it’s true. ‘Chased by Love elicited a variety of emotions within me, but the one that stood out most was its ability to make me smile up to the very end. This is a sweet, funny and romantic read which I highly recommend.

***ARC PROVIDED BY AUTHOR IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***

‘Chased By Love’ by Melissa Foster is the 3rd book in ‘The Ryders’ series but can definitely be read as a standalone and I know this first hand. I haven't read the books that came before this one but will be catching up on them after reading this one. Melissa Foster is an author I have read before and always enjoyed and the time is no different with this ring a great 4 star read.

As an actress takes her role seriously and as someone who is really just starting out she wants to be taken seriously and doesn't have much time for those who don’t. Trish is super excited to begin work on the major movie that she has been cast in and with world famous rock star Boone Stryker no less. Unfortunately her excitement drains when she starts to discover that he doesn't quite have the same work ethic as her for this movie and slacks off often. When the director also gets fed up and sends them both off to the next location alone to work things out before the rest of the crew arrive, sparks begin to fly. Uninterested in being another conquest of Boone’s she refuses his advances until her feelings about him change.

Boone has a great life and is used to everyone accommodating him and is taken aback when Trish doesn't put up with his crap. He has lived the life expected of him as a rock star and loved it but things between him and Trish when he eventually begins to let his walls down and shows her who he truly is.

The supporting cast of family and friends also play an important role in this book and were a welcome addition. There are lots of funny and emotional moments in the book as well as the sexual tension and banter shared between Trish and Boone. The chemistry between them sizzles on the page. This was a tale of two people realising their hearts desire and making themselves vulnerable by getting to know each other.

The writing in this book is as good as ever by Melissa Foster. Sizzling hot sex scenes, a story that pulls at your heart and another amazing guy to add to your book boyfriend list. I will definitely go back and read the previous books in this series. A great read that I am thrilled to recommend.

Chased by Love is Trish Ryer and Boone Stryker's story. This is the third book in the Ryder's Series and an off shoot of the Love in Bloom series! This book can easily be read as a standalone, but you seriously will not want to miss the previous titles, so why start with book three.

I am a huge fan of the Love in Bloom series, and have come to love the Ryder family, with each additional sibling you feel as if you are reading and experiencing the story of friends rather than fictional characters.

Trish and Boone, are creative individuals she's a movie starlet, and he's a rock star. I've been looking forward to Trish's story after reading the stories of her brother's finding their happy ever after, and certainly wasn't disappointed. The movie that Trish has been cast in the lead role, with Boone as her co-star is her opportunity to shine and show what she can really do as an actress. Due to his past Boone struggles with his role.

These characters are complex, lovable and endearing and draw you into their story. Boone is so much more than skin deep and much deeper than the bad boy he is portrayed by the media.

This book is well paced, and well written. If anything it is slightly slower to start with and then the story ended much to quickly. I really wanted more of their story. The pair share a sizzling chemistry, their relationship is quite intense on and off the screen and the love scenes are quite hot.

Overall i can't hesitate in recommend this book, it's by one of my all time favorite authors, but it is a sweet, endearing and entertaining romance. I look forward to the next Ryder book.

"There's a rule in acting you might not be aware of. Never, ever fall for your co-star."
"Considering I've never fallen for a woman in my life, I think we're in the clear."

Goodness me!!!

This series just keeps getting better!!

I'm so in love with these Ryder siblings, and I was so excited to read Trish's story!
Being in a family with five brothers and being a high profile actress, I adored her strong will and take hold attitude.
But she didn't stand a chance when it came to working with Boone Stryker.

Boone was a rock star on stage, but underneath the facade, he was a man trying to stay afloat. His past haunts him and he always keeps it under wraps...until a sassy woman comes along and unravels everything.

"Whatever this is between us, I have a feeling you could break me into a million little pieces, and I have too many people counting on me to let myself go there."

When they are made to spend ten days alone in an old, abandoned house to get ready for the movie they are in, sparks fly even more than they were to begin with.

I loved the chemistry between these two!
They were each other's ying and yang without even knowing it. He showed her how amazing of a person she really was and she proved to him that he is more that what the tabloids claim he is.

"What do you want, Boone?"
"What I want isn't fair."
"Maybe you aren't the one who should make that decision...
Feel, Boone. Let yourself feel."
"You. I want you."

Be still my fluttering heart!!!!

This book was hot, sexy, sweet and swoonworthy, with humor and family love all rolled into one great book!!

I couldn't get enough of Trish and Boone!! It might be because I have a love of rock stars...but that's beside the point;)

Another great book from Melissa Foster!! Can't wait for the next!! Woohoo!!

"My life is crazy, Trish. You might not want to get mixed up with me."
"I like crazy, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm already mixed up with you."
"Baby, you make me feel like I can get through anything."

Trish Ryder is a star! Movie star that is, and she is a professional! So when the bad boy rockstar Boone Stryker was cast as her co-star, she had preconceived ideas about what he was like; so when he has a party at his trailer the night before a big shoot Trisha lets him have it. But when Boone struggles with a key scene the next day, the last thing Trish expects, is for the director to send both Trish and Boone to his farm house in Hurricane, West Virginia for 10 days!!

Boone Skryker has a carefully crafted public persona as a bad boy that doesn't care about anything! But that is far from the person he really is. But Boone signed to play in this movie, before reading the whole script, and now he was stuck reliving a nightmare, on the big screen.

But after one passioned filled kiss, and a night of drinking and karaoke, all the truths are revealed, and Trish and Boone soon fall in love. Now they just have to survive the media, paparazzi and more importantly their families!

I'm not really into actor and rockstar romances, I don't know why, I'm just normally turned off by them. But, because this is a Melissa Foster book, I thought I would give it a chance and…I really did enjoy the book.

Like all of the other Ryder books, Trish Ryder's character is down to earth and you cannot help but like her, even when she thinks she is showing her bitchy side…she is more like me without coffee. But jokes aside, I really liked Trish. Boone Stryker character was also a very pleased surprise, and I loved the way his true self and the love that he has for his family and Trish came across. I would definitely like to hear more about these two again.

The authors writing was amazing, and to be completely honest here, to get me to read a sub-genre I would not normally touch with a barge pole, shows that her writing can make even the pickiest reader fall in love with her books, you just have to give them a chance.

I give Chased by Love 5 stars

Melissa Foster brings us two characters this time that seem to be worlds apart in age and responses to life--but together they may just find they have more in common than they think.

We've met Trish through the years as one of the Ryder siblings. She's an actress who believes in her career, believes in her ability...and will not let some new-comer ruin her chances. She has a strong family backing, and watching as her brothers and brothers-in-law go protective on her was so fun to watch.

And then there's Boone. Oh my goodness, I loved this man. My first impression of him, based off of Trish's response to him (beyond the fact she was excited to work with him), before we even meet him as readers, was that he was a young guy, a cocky guy, and that he was looking a gift horse in the mouth; he was a musician and this job just kind of fell in his lap. But oh my... Boone is so much more than that. If you like the Ryders (and all of Foster's families) you're going to fall for the Strykers. This family with their hippy names... I loved them all. They helped solidify that covers, media, can be deceiving.

These two have their own stumblings to get through in their road to happy, but they proved to be a pretty powerful couple. I loved their interactions and I loved that they both had such a strong sense of family; it is that that will help mold their relationship.

The epilogue was incredibly cute too. If I didn't fall for Boone during the book, which I did, the epilogue would definitely have sealed the deal.
