Rate this book
Welcome to The Gulls of Zethar Island, the first book written by Cornwall based author Ant. J Matthews. Aimed at children of 7-11 years, the story follows an adventurous young herring gull, who wants seagulls to be seen as proud seabirds, rather than thieving vermin. Follow him on his journey, as he struggles to free the colony from the tyrannical grip of General Bruiser.

It's a strange thing to read a book which was written by someone you know.
I really enjoyed this book, though I think it's designed as a children's read (but without pictures... oh where are the pictures?) and I love the concept of a gull wanting to return to the sea rather than scavenging off humans.
