Imagine a magical time when dragons ruled the earth and sky. Where did all the dragons go? Are they just waiting to return? Victor Lee's breathtaking illustrations transport young readers to a world of enchantment, as Robinson's lyrical, rhyming text offers an explanation of what happened to the dragons of long ago.
Wonderful book. I read it with the boys in my 3,4,5 Special Ed class my first year teaching, and then asked them to write a story about where the Dragons went.
I got some of the most remarkable writing from them. I will never forget it.
This picture book is a lovely read. The story is all in rhyming couplets to create a book sized poem. It tells how dragons were here. And where they might have gone. The artwork for the dragons is quite unique and makes every page a joy to read.
Loved reading this book to my son years ago. Now would like to read it to my grandchildren but can’t find my copy. Wish I could just read this on my tablet right now, though. But I will wait, because this is a great story all those young at heart. Or old at heart.
This was my fiancées favorite book as a child. Just bought it for her birthday and read it myself for the first time. Super cute and now will always make me think of her <3
This is one of my all-time favourite books and it still brings a lump to my throat when I read it to my daughters. In fact, it is their most requested book to be read out too.
The story (although short) is wonderful and trips off your tongue with lilting cadences and takes you from start to finish with a rhyme. The illustrations are magnificent, but maybe not the "normal" which just makes it more enjoyable.
Highly recommended for reading to your children or grandchildren ..... or if you want to remind yourself of where the dragons really are!
Gorgeous illustrations and a lyrical, rhyming narrative highlight this book about dragons. The detail of the different creatures is fantastic and the story is nostalgic and somewhat wistful. We enjoyed reading this book together.
Well The last time I read this book was when I was really little, but I have always loved the book and I was so sad when I had lost it. Where Did All The Dragons Go? Is one of my favorite books of all time.
Another story worth enjoying for the illustrations alone. They are stunning. Here they are paired with a clever fable, making this one a real favorite.
