Shaan Ahuja found himself bowing to tradition and agreeing to an arranged marriage to the beautiful Ruhi Sharma. He went through the motions but had no intention of carrying through on his vows. His last foray into matters of the heart with an American girl had left him scarred and unwilling to try again. Thoroughly disillusioned and disgruntled he wasted no time in making his intentions clear to Ruhi on their wedding night. But, he was completely unprepared for what his new wife had in mind.

Rao evokes a vast array of emotions in her audience. Through brilliant descriptions, straightforward storytelling, and intimate narratives she draws you fully into this remarkable tale of trial and error and love at its finest. Rao definitely had my heart tied in knots with this one. She not only takes a practice that is less than popular in western culture, but plops it down in the seat of all things North American. This talented author also makes it work, and spins it into a novel that you won’t be able to put down.
The writing in this novel was amazing, but don’t even get me started on the characters themselves. They were so real and easy to relate to that I couldn’t help but fall in love with them, both as individuals and as a couple. I found myself at one second thinking ‘If they’d just talk to each other’ and at the next thinking ‘but I’d so have done the same thing.’ This was a true comedy of errors with no easy way out of the corner they’ve backed themselves into. Since this novel was so focused on these two very different yet remarkable individuals the minimal development of the supporting cast actually worked in the author’s favour.
As a whole this was a brilliant novel. Rao walks the line between traditional Indian culture and all that is Hollywood to create a tale that will pull at your heartstrings and keep you captivated throughout.
Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author/publisher/blog tour company in exchange for an honest review.
Félicitation for your debut novel “Inconvenient Relations” Simi dear
“LOVE – A temporary insanity curable by marriage” - Ambrose Bierce When I started reading the book I read the above quote on the dedication page & I felt like, oh no! I have an entirely different opinion about LOVE...for me “Love is an Incurable Insanity” & there is no medication to cure love ever & then I read the line below the quote which is of the author's “this tale is attempt to prove the REVERSE....” then I got so excited...& I would say it's a Brilliant attempt by Ms. Simi K Rao & she has succeeded in it too. I Loved this book so much. The author has chiseled each & every character beautifully & expressed every single emotions, love, pain, passion, fear, serenity, ecstasy, possessiveness, tolerance & so... so brilliantly which touched my heart so deeply. I should give credits to the awesome dialogues...they are crisp, clear & amazing. I don't know whether i'm a slow reader or I read this book slowly relishing each & every moment & every scenes which the author has written so neatly & more in a realistic way without any exaggeration. I guess the latter one is damn true. Not even a single place I felt bored...It was so moving & interesting!! “Inconvenient Relations” is a beautiful love journey of two people Shaan & Ruhi, who are entirely contrast in nature. Ruhi is such a sweet innocent fragile beautiful girl but she has an other side too where u could see a feisty fiery Ruhi who is very strong & independent with “i don't give a damn or take a shit” attitude. You might wonder whether Ruhi is the Goddess of Venus or the worst kind of Bitch?? haha...she is one mercurial character. No one could predict what she is thinking, yes, she thinks a lot, its hard for her hubby dearest to catch up with her horsey brain & to play mind games with her. In short she is brazen beauty. She is one awe-inspiring character. Hmm... now what to say about Shaan?? He is my darling!! I love him so. He will be one dream husband for all girls. He is handsome, smart, intelligent, witty, gentle, a pure admirer & an ambitious young man who knows to respect women & love unconditionally & the Jealousy factor in him makes him hot, he is highly possessive & passionate for his lady love. he is a Mr. Perfect with some exceptions. Shaan & Ruhi are one heaven made couple. But is their life a bed of roses?? No! Never! How could that be possible?? It's “Inconvenient Relations”...Shaan lead a life entirely different from that of Ruhi's. His one blunder ruined everything & made him pay for it till the end. His past jeopardize with his present & messed up all & Ruhi become the ultimate sufferer. Ruhi being a blushy newly wed bride had so much hopes & dream but all gets shattered over night, she felt betrayed & lost trust on her man whom she loved so much, that too so deep & so quick. After this heart break, She says love hurts...does really love hurts?? Did Shaan rectify his mistake on time?? Did he heal her pain?? Did Ruhi ever trust Shaan again?? Did their broken relationship mended or not?? To know more you ought to catch up with the book. Oh my! How could I miss one of my most favorite character of this lovely story?? Sunshine... I adore her so much. She just knows to live the life to the fullest by embracing love, romance & passion & take them as her companion to the grave yard. Not only her but all the characters in this story are so lively & realistic. I loved all the characters...Sujoy – a friend in need, Debo – sweet babhi, Anu – cute baby, Devayani – loving mom, Mr.C – ray of sunshine, Sajana – X factor, Rainbow boy surjit – smart kid, Rich – gentleman, Des – woman of disaster, Mr. Ahuja (sr.) - the person who made unknown damages, Mrs. Ahuja – Silent sufferer, Tony, Patrik & Andy – envy Shaan for possessing an angel JJ – Gosh! This bird has a serious grudge on Shaan...each & every single characters were perfectly sketched!! Kudos to the writer!! “Love is like a WAR, easy to start, difficult to stop & never to forget” so is the love of BEE & GREY... they had never ending silly fights but those fights were the base for their Inconvenient Relation... Those fights made Shaan to fall head over heels for his wife Mrs. Firecracker, his Venus, his love, his life, his reason to breathe. Enjoyed every inch of this story. My hearty Thanks to the author for writing this excellent story & giving me a complimentary edition & taking me into the lovely journey of “Inconvenient Relation – Book 1 of Arranged match series” Looking Forward to read your next novel “The Accidental Wife” & also book 2 of Arranged match series... I want my Shaan & Ruhi back soon... I can bet & say your future works will also be as mind blowing & fabulous as this one. BRAVO!!! love, sudha
For full review please visit https://booksteaandmorecom.wordpress.... The book is the story of Shaan Ahuja and Ruhi Sharma, two strangers who are tied together by the alliance of arranged marriage. Things take a strange turn when Shaan proclaims to Ruhi on their wedding night that he is in love with another women and they can get divorced. Ruhi is aghast but she comes to term with this and tells Shaan that they should be together for some months post which she can slowly break this news to her parents.
Thus starts the awkward journey of Ruhi and Shaan. As Shaan lives in LA they move here. Deep down somewhere Ruhi still has feelings for Shaan and wishes to lead a normal life as man and wife. On the other end things have soured between Shaan and his girlfriend and also he has these guilty pangs gnawing him for what he did to Ruhi. The book is a roller coaster ride of heartbreak, love, unrequited love, deception and friendship at the core. It shows the uniqueness of an arranged marriage.
Inconvenient Relations is pre queal to Now and Forever story .It has been beautifully written by Simi .
The Indian Parents fear of sending their only child abroad , Shaan awkwardness of telling Ruhi that somebody else is there in his life .Ruhi determination to set things right and teach him a lesson .
The emotional tug of war is amazing to read .
I found Shaan cute when he shows his possessive streaks ..towards Ruhi
And finally their forever kisses .
Love You Shaan
6 stars for this book .Bonus point of Surjit for expressing what autism actually is
I wanted to kill Ruhi. It seemed as if she was bi-polar with VERY low self esteem. I would have taken Shaan for my own.... knowing me I would make him run for Des lol.
I wish I was in an arrange Marriage sometimes.... Learn to love one another.... sounds better than this hooking up crap of todays society.
Too much back and forth with the characters not knowing their own minds. I can't imagine that someone would really flip flop decision making that much in two months.
With the number of books I read, I do happen to come across a few that land on the bottom of the pile. Rao’s Inconvenient Relations is one such book. I have numerous issues with it. It is confusing in the way the book is structured with many passages where the characters talk to themselves for lengthy periods. Some sections have subtitles such as ‘The strains of MJ’s Bad,’ or ‘Back at the apartment,’ apparently to set the reader in the scene. However, the author is not consistent and most of the sections do not have this problem, leading me to conclude that this could be a formatting/editing problem. Ruhi is a confusing character. At times she finds her husband ‘cool’ and ‘looking good’ with a ‘husky voice’ while a few lines later in the chapter she glares at him and wants his ‘bloody hand of me.’ The book is peppered with too many thoughts of both Ruhi as well as Shaan, which make for choppy reading because it breaks the flow. Even their thoughts jump from POV to POV adding to my difficulty with the book. When they do get close, Shaan is grasping Ruhi roughly by the arms or holding them in a vicelike grip or twisting them, all conducive to an abusive situation and not a romantic one. Then there are the odd turns of phrases using ‘emote, verbalized, ventured, upchucked, lying himself, anxious for her feeling,’ being just a few. And last but not least, the romantic descriptions made me shudder: ‘He ached to thrust himself deep inside her most sacred sanctum conclude their endless arguments,’ is by far a very awkward group of words. Shocking was Shaan’s attempt to choke his ex, Des. It was unexpected, yes, but finally I got to see Shaan’s temper instead of just reading his thoughts. A couple of phrases are scattered about like rare gems: ‘spew lava’ is one and if the book had more of this it would make for a hilarious read.
Plot: On one hand we have Ruhi, a modern Indian girl, who agrees to get into an arranged marriage. On the other hand we have Shaan, an NRI, who agrees to an arranged marriage only to appease his family. But on their wedding night Shaan discloses a secret that shatters any hope of happiness that Ruhi might have had.
Characters: Well-developed characters. They are easy to relate to given the fact that a lot of Indians are still open for arranged marriage whether by choice like Ruhi or under pressure like Shaan.
Narrative: The narrative complements the simple language of the author and helps by making the book really easy to get into.
Overall: I did not like Shaan at all in the beginning. It was half way through that his characters grows and becomes more likeable. I certainly liked Ruhi a lot more though I wished that she would be a bit more firm at times. This is a quirky romance that will steal your heart!
A wonderful and brilliant story with captivating storyline. An amazing journey of Shaan and ruhi from arrange marriage to love between them with different thoughts and culture. Shaan is arrogant yet gentle whilst Ruhi is crazy yet mature. The characterization of the leads are beautifully penned with emotions and insecurities. The author as craved out side characters characterization flawlessly that they add charms to the leads life. The characters are protrayed are close to real life personality and demeanor. They are so real and easy to relate. This book is a complete package of all the emotions. A good read and worth reading . Thumbs up !!
An endearing desi romance. Shaan and Ruhi have an arranged marriage that springs many surprises on them, leaving them unprepared for consequences that they did not imagine. Inconvenient Relations is an adorable tale of two people discovering each other and falling in love after their marriage. The author Simi’s language flows like a river in the valleys of emotions, delicately twisting and turning as the plot moves forward.
The glossary and recipes at the end of the book are helpful for Non-Indian readers. The last chapter of this book sets the tone for the upcoming sequel, leaving the reader thirsting for more.
This book ruins my mood every time i read it. Where do I even start? This book is absolutely terrible, I'm sure 13 year old Wattpad writers can write better than this. The characters act like they're 12 and both of them are horrible people. The writer throws in a bunch of cliches with horrible execution and writing. But hey congratulations for finding someone who wanted to publish this trash.
PS: I'm pretty sure someone is being paid to write 5 star reviews on all of this author's book with the exact same wording.
The story was long drawn out but still had a feel of excitement like the ones you see in soap operas. I had issues with the language used though. Very typical Indian English with loads of regional language words thrown in. I felt it was like reading one of those wattpad story episodes. Liked it but don't think it deserves much praising. Please read it with below average expectations.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. I rated it 5 out of 5 Stars.
A mixture of contemporary romance, coming of age tale and multicultural fiction, Simi K. Rao's Inconvenient Relations is a wonderful debut novel. Facing an arranged marriage, Ms. Rao's characters give us a chance to explore ancient traditions against the backdrop of a modern society with a high divorce rate. We also get the chance to experience the cultural differences between two countries, men and women and the basic truth that all you need is love.
The only daughter of a well to do family in India, Ruhi Sharma faces a bright future; educated, loved and beautiful, she agrees to an arranged marriage to make her father happy. She's even encouraged to participate in the choice of her future husband and chooses Shaan Ahuja, the son of a family friend, whose picture she falls in love with. Looking forward to her wedding and move to America, Ruhi is unprepared for what she discovers on her wedding night; a groom with no intentions of staying married who claims he's given his heart to someone else.
A graduate student when he first came to the United States, Shaan Ahuja is now an aerospace engineer with no intentions of ever returning to India. Involved in an unsatisfying affair with an American woman, Shaan is determined to avoid marriage at all costs. At least until his father informs him his grandfather is dying and that his last wish is to see Shaan married. Forced into an arranged marriage, Shaan is determined to make his intentions clear to his wife and plans to return her "untouched" to her family. Only he never planned on his wife being determined to save her pride and demand a two month time period where they could gently break it to their families they're not a good fit. Agreeing to her plan, Shaan is unprepared for the realities of having a roommate who has no intentions of going home.
The scenes between Ruhi and Shaan are well written and full of emotional angst. While Ruhi is infuriated with Shaan and his duplicity, she's determined to save her family from the embarrassing truth and also save her pride. While Shaan attempts to pretend Ruhi means nothing to his life, Ruhi quickly immerses herself into his house and attempts to break down his resistance - she's not giving up her husband without a fight. Ms. Rao does an excellent job developing her characters and dealing with the conflicting emotions they both undergo throughout the story. While neither planned on an emotional war for the other's heart, they do find themselves engaged in an emotional battle. Ruhi wants to win her husband's heart and feel love, while Shaan begins to realize he's been used by his previous partner and that Ruhi could very well be everything he's ever wanted.
The secondary characters all contribute something to Ms. Rao's tale; from Ruhi's parents, to Shaan's friends in America, the colorful people Ruhi meets at the bus stop and even the woman who stands between them at first. Showcasing the strengths, and weaknesses of each culture, Ms. Rao gives us insight into Indian cuisine, traditions and their colorful emotions. While an arranged marriage goes against the American idea of falling in love and choosing your own spouse, it's clear that an arranged marriage does have some appeal. Of course it's only when Ms. Rao's characters face their past, are honest about what they truly feel and make a conscious decision to give their future a chance that their arranged marriage has the greatest chance for success.
Will Ruhi learn to embrace life in the U.S. and capture her husband's heart? Will Shaan realize the happiness he's looking for can be found when he gives his heart to his new wife? You'll have to read Inconvenient Relations to find out. I loved it and can't wait to read what Ms. Rao writes next.
The first thing about this book that you’ll notice if you look it up on the net is that the in place of a blurb/summary there’s an excerpt. An enticing excerpt infact and that threw me off balance for a minute before I decided that I just had to read this story.
‘Inconvenient Relations’ is the story of Ruhi and Shaan. Ruhi, is a smart, independent, educated modern day girl whose marriage is arranged by her parents to an NRI guy. She falls for the man she is destined to spend her life with. On the other hand Shaan is a dutiful son who gives into his family’s demands of an arranged marriage even though he has a love interest back in states. As Ruhi steps into her new life and discovers the truth about her husband, she feels cheated yet, she just cannot not love the man she has married. As she takes control of her life, Shaan might just be beginning to realize his epic mistake.
As a work of fiction, this novel tells us the story of Shaan and Ruhi. But in reality there are just too many Shaan and Ruhi in this world, who are facing the same or similar situations very regularly. This work of fiction is too close to reality and that is the best aspect of this novel. Okay, so I am not saying that it is always the boys who have a side interest – or that all the girls react in the Ruhi does in this novel, but yeah the overall situation is way too common.
I loved Ruhi’s character. She is a perfect blend of modern and traditional Indian women. She is independent and educated. She knows her rights and fights for it. At the same time she is also this sweet girl who agrees to marry a boy selected by her parents and learns to love her husband even though he is far from perfect. Again don’t get me wrong, she has her faults like any human being, but the good qualities way overweigh her faults and so it is easy to fall in love with her. Shaan, on the other hand comes across this gutless brat who I would have gladly smacked across the face on the wedding night (if I were in Ruhi’s shoes) but he does end up redeeming himself.
Arranged marriage are way more common in India than we would like to admit and this novel gives us a glimpse into the lives of two strangers who are brought together by their families and are expected to live together and love each other. The author has narrated the story pretty well outlining the common dilemmas faced by people in these situations. The emotional charge between the two characters literally burst out of the pages and make it such an interesting read.
A well balanced novel that I thoroughly enjoyed reading!
This is the first part of the arranged marriage series by Simi. This is my second book of hers and I love the way she writes simple yet beautiful love stories. Any relationship is complex and an arranged marriage is definitely a difficult subject to deal with as each couple have a different story to tell about their companionship, love and adjustment.
The protagonist Ruhi marries Shaan and her hopes are shattered the wedding night itself when Shaan mentions about her love affair and his inclination towards heading for a divorce. Then, the story goes about their companionship, attraction, love, egos, expectations etc.,
This reminded me of Mills and Boone's love stories. I loved Ruhi'S character. She is independent, stubborn and at the same time a traditional teenager with lots of dreams about her married life. There is a constant tug of war of emotions throughout the book. Ruhi like any other bride of arranged marriage believes that her life would be happy with Shaan until he reveals his affair. She has an attraction towards her husband and starts appreciating his gentleman behavior but cannot completely trust him and suffers a lot because of her conflicting emotions . This is very realistic. Obviously, it's not easy to lead life with someone who rejected your rights without any thought and hurt you badly.
I loved the sweet romance and beautiful characters like Sooj and Debo. But, my only complaint is that the novel is very lengthy and gets boring in the middle. The title of the book is very apt and the cover is good.
My Rating: 3/5
I would recommend this to romance lovers.
Ps: I have received this advanced review copy from the Author through book r3vi3w tours in exchange of an honest review and this is my unbiased opinion on the book.
INCONVENIENT REATIONS, the title is apt for this book. it is a very light hearted love story between a couple. I would sae Miss. Rao being a debutant author had done a fabulous job. This book is a masterpiece. Though I am not a pro in reviewing books, still I couldn't stop myself from reviewing this one.
Shaan Ahuja and Ruhi Sharma, the lead characters of this novel are tied together in an arranged marriage. Shaan’s big revelation during their wedding night leaves Ruhi shattered.
Miss. Rao has not only given importance to d protagonist but also other characters too. When you ll read dis book u ll come across different characters a cupid, a friend, an advisor, etc. All characters played pivotal roles in Ruhi and Shaan’s love story. This book has a different story to tell: from marriage to hatred, from hatred to love and from love to a passionate one.
Apart from love, romance, anger and fight, this novel also gives us a chance to experience the cultural difference. Being from different culture altogether Ruhi managed very well to gel in a western culture. I m sure i won’t get bored to read it again and again. Dis book gives me immense pleasure to feel d love of both the protagonist... Miss. Rao has also narrated the physical intimacy between d protagonists in a poetic way which would make you fall for her writing skills. The words she used to describe the love will make you fall in love wid the protagonist....
Miss Rao has the power in her writing to light up the love emotions in ones life..with dis book she surely did dat....
Inconvenient Relations- An Amazing Journey from Arriange marriage to love between two entirely different people from two different world. The Journey of Ruhi and Shaan was very interesting and Intriguing from start to end. After like every chapter I was like what will happen next. How will these two stubborn heads will react to each others actions. Inconvenient Relations a story about Ruhi sharma and Shaan Ahuja who are entirely contrast in nature.Ruhi a sweet innocent, beautiful girl who is well cultered but at the same she is bold & independent who can fight and protect herself. And Shaan what to say about him ? A wonderful husband and a dream boy ,a perfect life partner a girl wish to have.Smart ,Independent,Intelligent and an Ambitious person who wants to establish himself on his own.But his one mistake made him suffer and rectify till the end. Shaan and Ruhi couple made for eachother.Loved their love for each other, their possessivness, concern for each other, their silly fights ,their friendship which made shaan to see ruhi in a different light . I loved this book so much..The author has penned every emotion so beautifully be it love, passion, pain, fear, possessiveness, protectectiveness and so...which has touch me deeply. It was written in a very realistic way.Enjoyed reading this story a lot. Thanks a lot to the author for writing this Amazing story & giving me a complimentary edition of this amazing book. Looking forward to read your next novel "Accidental Wife" which w'll loved it too.
Do you people believe that pairs are made in heaven? No. Then please go and read this story. This story will make you believe that when love has to come, it will come of it's own accord, you would not have to ask for it or search, and when it would come, it would make your world a much better place to reside in.
The story begins with the arranged marriage of Shaan and Ruhi. But soon after marriage, on their wedding night, Shaan reveals that he is already in a relationship with someone else, and asks Ruhi to leave him. But Ruhi decides to give their marriage a chance, i.e, she decides to be with Shaan for two months and even after that if parting is only option left then she would leave him. But after they go to L.A, where Shaan works, tables turn, and soon Shaan realises what he actually wants.
The different layers of Ruhi's character were worth exploring, how she tries to woo him, and then at some point decides enough is enough. Same applies to Shaan too, his emotional side, his vulnerable side, his honest side, are all to die for.
Lastly I would say that if you like reading a love story with a sweet and happy ending, then you would surely love it.
After reading this extraorinaryily romantic n humourous book i can only say it was worth my time . The story of two different people shaan n ruhi was outstanding n very touching. They characters were natural, emotional witty n at the same time very sweet n caring i just fell for these two love birds in their first encounter only . shaan was an amazing genleman i wld say , although he might have hurt ruhi but his honesty n his dedication towards her was to die for n something to read for n on the other hand ruhi emotional turmoil for her husband was very well written n expressed. she was not like our regular boring heroines but she was one independent n humourous lead n i can say that i actually love her but overall i love shaan more i guess bcoz of his honesty which is of basic importance for any relation n thus his honesty n ruhis love won n they united their souls which was extremely heart touching . Overall it was one splendid book i have ever read n all credit goes to the amazing author simi . Thanxx a lot for this awesome book i m really desperate to read the second book now n ofcourse accidental wife too .
I loved this book from beginning to end. I have started to read "Inconvenient Relations“ book and can't seem to put it down.Once you start reading the story then, unknowingly you will fall in love with Shaan and Ruhi. Shaan was charming, honest, self-possessed, well organized, intelligent and possessive whereas on the other hand Ruhi is beautiful, sweet, naïve, innocent, unpredictable, crazy, independent who have woven loads of dreams about her marriage. When her dreams were shattered on her wedding night she did not give up and decides to fight for her rights. And she was eventually successful in making her husband fall in love with her truly and deeply. Ruhi filled the emptiness in Shaan with love and made him go across the ocean to win her love back. The author has put immense effort in doing background studies about space craft, stars and planets. The author has carved not only the main characters very well but also the side characters like sunshine very beautifully. The characters are real and create great impact on us, which makes the story a pleasure to read. Shaan and Ruhi make a wonderful couple, and I hope to have many glimpses of them in the book2.
Inconvenient Relations’ is about the beautiful journey of two people Shaan and Ruhi who are tied together in the sacred bond of marriage. They had an arranged marriage and as the story unfolds you’ll get to see how from being strangers they fall head over heels in love with each other. The author has penned down all the emotions so brilliantly through the crisp and amazing dialogues and wonderful details , that you can connect with the story instantly, feel the emotions of each and every characters. From the moment you start reading, you’ll be totally hooked to the story and it’ll become quite impossible to stop before you finish reading the whole book. A great insight into both Indian and American cultures. Besides the protagonists, all the other characters add more flavours to the story. And I’m sure you’ll find a long list of favourite characters from this story This story is practical, captivating, fascinating, sizzling, intoxicating. It strikes a chord with everyone and takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. What I’m trying to say is that this book is a must read!!
Inconvenient Relations,Book1 of Arranged Match series is Simi K Rao's debut novel. This is a crazy, unconditional love story of married couple Shaan and Ruhi. Simi made this familiar concept interesting by adding her own ingredients. I rated the book amazing, because i found the book interesting and emotionally less exhausting.
the female protogonist Ruhi's character is very intelligent, beautiful, modern, and extremely crazy. She is capable of fighting for her rights. Shaan Ahuja is an honest, loyal and handsome young man. Work is his passion. His possessiveness and jealousy is a treat to watch. His one mistake from the past made his married life difficult.I think Ruhi's in ability to trust Shaan portrayed convincingly. The side characters are also gud. I really loved Sunshine. Sanajna is a realistic character. Sharma's are ideal parents. Shiv Ahuja failed as a father, husband, friend and a human being. This book is a must read..
Amazing book... Brilliant portrayal of characters and emotions. I felt myself going in a flow with the characters of the novel and couldn't rest in peace till its completed. The protagonists Shaan and Ruhi's life is a roller coaster ride. The novel starts with their marital life and the discovery of love in their eventful life. This book is a complete package of love, hate, distrust, betrayal and every other emotions that we feel.
So happy to finally read that they are united at last. All thanks to Simi Di for this wonderful story and her creative thinking...which brought us close to them!
Want to thank Simi Rao to write an amazing and brilliant book on arranged marriage a most common topic but very important part of everybody's life. Love the characters Shan and Ruhi so much. Shan brilliant and smart person Ruhi so sweet cute and independent girl her character is very strong. Shan and Ruhi's relationship is a bit difficult yet i like their friendship with little cute arguments. Very interesting book not at all boring. There are some twits and surprises too. Double thumbs up for this book. A good read.
This is an amazing and fun story where two people with different mindsets enter into a sacred bond of marriage and fall in love crazily.
Simi has written the emotions so well you will fall in love with the characters Shaan and Ruhi. The story is intriguing from the first chapter to the last and so is Ruhi, her strong yet innocent character is very captivating. She made sure that Shaan paid his dues to achieve her Love.
Simi is an amazing writer showing the beautifil journey of two complete strangers through arranged indian marriage through this story.
I just love this book!! A beautiful love story that keeps u hooked from beginning to end and makes you want to read more and also again & again!! The author Simi K.Rao has penned the emotions, culture, the love that grows between Shaan & Ruhi which makes them eternal couple so beautifully!! U will enjoy the journey of how two individuals who come together by arranged match and become one for eternity!! Its a must read!!
It is story of a couple in an arranged marriage; the night of their weeding Shaan tells Ruhi that he is in love with someone else and she is free to leave him. But she decides to leave with him to the US to not hurt her parents emotions. From there on its about how two strangers married together try to live with someone they didn't. I didn't understand why would a self sufficient person live with someone they rather not. And it was quite simple and predictable plot with little excitement.
