My grandfather gave me this book and owing to the fact that I am very skeptical of his beliefs, I was hesitant to read it. I was intrigued after the first few pages. Roy Eugene Davis was a pupil of Parmahasa Yogananda – a very controversial figure – and they both teach the same truth. That truth is the oneness of everything, or in Sanskrit: "Brahman" the ultimate reality. This book is all about spiritual growth and the author claims there is only one spiritual path: awakening from ordinary states of mind and consciousness, Self-realization, God-realization, and liberation of consciousness. However, as believed in Hinduism, the "practices used to facilitate spiritual growth may differ. Do what produces the results you want to have. Avoid actions that are not productive." This book also contains science to support its metaphysical arguments and meditation guides to achieve higher consciousness. Throughout reading this book you can see aspects of Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, etc. it is purely monistic. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is open-minded about existence and I will be sure to read more works from Roy Eugene Davis.
