Although a short, this didn’t really go anywhere.

It’s a short read, but there wasn’t really a story here. A famous wrestler visits a child’s cancer ward…there you go, that’s the whole story.

It’s nice he went, but there was no moral, no start and finish, just kinda words talking about a 10 minute visit. It’s the first short I’ve read that went nowhere.

Cute little glimpse into X's good character.

3.5 - 4 ★'s

A very short (ten page) story about Xavier visiting sick kids during the holidays. I really enjoyed seeing that side of him.

There's also an appearance by a character of the Black Falcon series. I would probably be excited but I haven't read that series yet. ;)

As always I enjoy these little shorts but there's just not enough 'fiber' to justify a higher star rating. Still, it's free and you can't beat that! Plus it's X!

Favorite quote:

♥ "He leans in and kisses my lips. "You believe in me far too much, beautiful."

I smile at him. "It's not hard to have faith in someone who has an unbelievable heart."

A short story about Xavier and Anna around Christmas time. Showed the beauty of X's heart and how compassionate he was, esp with the kids. He visited kids with cancer at the hospital and met one of the guys from Black Falcon doing the same thing as him.. A great treat!

A gift novella from the author with a little insight into Xavier and Anna's Christmas charity work. This short novella sees them spending Christmas Eve visiting a cancer ward in a children's hospital, a heartwarming tale, highly recommended for Phenomenal fans.

Short and sweet. We got to see X and Riff spread Christmas cheer to sick kids in the hospital. It was short, sweet, to the point and a very wonderful holiday read. Got the emotions going.

I loved this short, sweet, and selfless story where Xavier and Anna bring Christmas joy to children. Heartwarming and heroic, Xavier shows another one of his many layers.

Sweet

A very short story on a subject near and dear to the hearts of all of us. In this case it is a heartfelt accounting of what many, many celebrities give back to those in need. Only ten pages but powerful.

This was a really sweet, heartwarming snippet of seeing Xavier and Anna visiting a children's hospital on Christmas Eve to grant the wishes of some kids who are battling cancer. That right there tugged at my heartstrings! Seeing a gentle, soft side of Xavier and seeing how he interacted with the kids was very touching.

Getting to see a little bit of Riff and Aubrey was an added bonus! Riff will always be Riff, and you can't help but love him!! Seeing him and Xavier together, making wishes come true for these kids who are stuck in the hospital on Christmas Eve and not home in their own beds, was extra special.

It's a really short, but very sweet Christmas tale that warmed my heart!

Cute, short novella. Just like in Phenomenal X, Michelle shows that Xavier isn't as cold hearted and mean as he believes himself to be, especially with his interaction with children. There's also a cameo from Riff and Aubrey from Rock My Bed.

Wish Granted is a very short and very quick holiday read in the Hard Knocks series and has main characters Xavier Cold and Anna Cortez making the rounds in a children's cancer ward during the holidays. Each wish that Xavier grants showcases the kind of man he really is and the kind of man that Anna has always seen underneath his painful past and his anger. If you're a fan of the series, you'll want to check out this freebie. Wish Granted gets four stars. ♥

I first read this on a FB Group and was so happy when Michelle released it as an actual book. It is such a sweet story and really fits with the theme of the Holidays well.
There are MINOR spoilers for Xavier Cold, but nothing that would ruin the book entirely.
I loved it, and will probably revisit it in December 2016.

Awesomeness

This a truely great short read. It reminded me that you should get to know a person before u judge them. The kindness that famous actors, athletes and people in general that give back to and care for their fans is wonderful.
Thank you Ms Valentine for writing this short look into a kind-hearted person. Even one that had a truly awful childhood.

This was a quick scene that ties the Black Falcon series to this one, and it was great read. Even if it took like 5 minutes to read if that :)
I honestly didn't even know about this novella until literally 5 minutes ago but I figured I would read it before starting in on book 2.
Not really much to say about it other than I liked it.

A lovely short story showing Anna and Xavier visiting the hospital at Christmas to bring cheer to some kids with cancer.
Xavier shows a side of himself that most don't get to see. Riff and Aubrey from Black Falcon meet up with them to give a special 14 yr old girl her Christmas wish.
Very inspiring!

This was a great short read about a different side of Xavier!

It was a great heart sting pull for the holidays as X visits kids at a children's hospital to give gifts and spend some quality time with them.

Very sweet!

Merry Christmas. Loved it

Loved the short story from Michelle. Loved that she mixes the series. Love when authors do that. Mixing Riff from Black Falcon and Xavier from Phenomenal X. They are spreading Merry Christmas wishes to kids with Cancer. So good.

It was free so I won't complain to much since it was only 10 pages. I felt like this was more of a push to get people who read Phenomenal X to read her other series since she introduces that MC as well.
