A Very Dirty Christmas

Rate this book
Caulter Sterling is the tattooed, pierced bad boy I used to hate. Now, he's cockier and filthier than ever.

And now that I'm knocked up, this bad boy can't keep his hands off me.

It's going to be a very dirty wedding.

What could possibly go wrong when you combine a crazy ex, a celebrity mother, paparazzi, and a runaway ring-bearing monkey?

Did I mention the bride in labor?

I'm totally screwed.

Don't let the "782 pages" description fool you.

This is not all one big new Caulter/Kate Christmas story, but rather, the original Prick, plus Tool, Cannon, and bonus scenes from both.

So pretty cool if you don't have any or all of them. A great deal for $0.99. But if, like me, you have read most of them...still an awesome deal.

Now, the Christmas story here was cute; however there were - dare I say it - WAAAAAY too many sex scenes. I mean, I'm not usually one to complain about this, but boy did these yahoos fuck ALL. THE. TIME.

I could have gone for a little more story and a lot less fucking, but don't get me wrong - this was a super cute read and it was fun to catch up will Kate, Caulter and batshit crazy Ella.

3.5 ★'s

This book contains the first three books in the series, Prick, Tool and Cannon, along with several bonus scenes and a new novella about the characters from Prick called A Very Dirty Wedding.

Since I had already read the three books, I tried to just read the bonus scenes and it was a big, fat FAIL. I'm not sure if it was because too much time had passed and I felt too much of a disconnect or if reading sex scene after sex scene just didn't work for me. Unfortunately, I stopped reading the bonus scenes after Prick.

A Very Dirty Wedding is a new novella featuring Caulter and Kate and obviously they are getting married. She's also pregnant and this leads to some very interesting situations mainly involving, you guessed it, sex.

description

Sex in a sex chair, sex on the side of the road, sex causing them to break the bed, sex in the shower...well, you get the picture. And as over the top as the sex was, at least it wasn't the only thing that was over the top.

Oh no, there's a crazy event at Caulter's bachelor party, an over enthused Santa and Elf at the rehearsal dinner and a crazy monkey at the wedding. They all lead to some interesting moments and injected some much needed humor.

Although the sex was too much (for me...I know, what's up with that?!), the ending all but made up for it. Caulter and Kate are really sweet together and you can definitely feel how much they genuinely love each other. And the epilogue was perfect!

Once upon a time ... a Princess & a Prick were forced together by the uniting of their parents. They loathed each other, yet lusted after one antoher. Thus began their illicit affair.

Fast Forward to the present day ... Christmas. A pregnant Princess. A (still) pridefull Prick. And a wedding. Can you forsee anything that may go wrong?

Sweet and funny. This book was a perfect addition to Sabrina Paige's Stepbrother franchise. Although, I wouldn't neccessarily classify it as a strictly holiday novella ... the whole thing wasn't too Christmassy in my opion. But the story itself is perfectly over-the-top and fun ... I laughed a little too hard during the wedding scene ;)

The full version of this release includes Books 1-3 ...
I was provided an ARC of the novella only, having previously read the first 3 stories. You can find my reviews for them here:

Merry Effing Christmas!

This is a cute, funny, and very sexy novella sequel to Prick that finds Caulter and Katherine still together four years later and on a new journey towards marriage and parenthood. Like most expectant parents they are nervous about their new roles and how their life will change.

They haven’t forgotten the good old days:

“‘I know you were repressed and sexually frustrated and thinking of how much you desperately wanted to feel my cock inside you.’” –Caulter

But some things are different:

“‘I can’t believe I’m pregnant, pantless, and in the back of a car with you.’” –Kate

A return to the place where it all began allows them to indulge in some nostalgia and make some new memories too:

“‘Apparently the sex toy company sells handcuffs that are harder to get out of than police cuffs.’” –Caulter

Caulter is still an adorable, horny, bad boy but his sexcapades are reserved for his wife-to-be.

"‘You look good enough to eat, by the way. Eat out, I mean.’” –Caulter

Told via Caulter and Katherine’s alternating first person point of view, this novella is filled with steamy misadventures and then there’s the not to be talked of incident that had me laughing out loud. And just when you think it can’t get any crazier, it does.

Will the wedding preparations stay under control? Can Caulter censor his colorful vocabulary for fatherhood? And most important of all…. Is it a boy or a girl?

Fans of the original novel Prick will adore this HEA sequel, and if you haven’t read Prick than this is all the more reason to give it a whirl.

Merry naughty/raunchy/hysterical/sweet/most-of-all-dirty Christmas indeed! I have pretty much given every book Sabrina Paige has written five stars and this sinfully sexy holiday novella is no exception. Caulter Sterling was the bad boy we all loved to hate (when we weren't drooling at him) in Prick and now as he and Kat prepare to not only become parents but to walk down the aisle, things get decidedly heated and pretty darn funny as well. Pregnancy hormones are through the roof, the groom is nervous about becoming a dad and both of them are trying not to get emotional about the messed up state of the family (and especially their parents' tumultuous relationship). The never ending drama caused by the press and well-meaning friends bring on a circus of epic proportions...it was like being in a sit-com/train-wreck that you could not stop watching because it was just too entertaining.
Again, Paige manages to mix a sweet progression of an established couple's story with some new and exciting revelations and makes it fun and sexy-hot for the holidays.
This Christmas novella will also include Prick, Tool and Cannon with bonus scenes from all three books as a special gift to readers...what an amazing treat! Get it while it's only 99 cents!

I absolutely loved catching up with Caulter and Kathrine. I have to admit that while I love all of Sabrina Page's books, Caulter and Kate remain my favorite couple. I just love the chemistry they have, the way they bicker and banter and I was beyond happy to see what they've been up to since their book ended.

I loved seeing them planning their wedding and ready to become parents. And I love seeing how much they really love each other.

The best thing about this book is that I felt like it was a proper ending to Caulter and Kate's story. The end to Prick was a little...abrupt...for me, so this provided proper closure.

Overall, I can't wait to read Sabrina Paige's next book!

Once I realized this was continuing Caulter and Kat’s story from Prick (kind of an awesome and funny name once your read the story), I immediately skimmed it to refresh my memory. I’m so glad I did, because it’s a great story and I’m happy we get to see them a year down the road from the epilogue. (Plus, I changed my rating for Prick from a 4 to 5 as I really did love it.)

Kat is now about 9 months pregnant and they’re a few weeks from getting married. Since we’ve already been through the push/pull, will they/won’t they of their relationship in Prick, this one felt like a visit and update with old friends. It was so funny and they’ve only gotten better, especially the relationship and chemistry between Caulter and Kate. I love both characters and even more seeing how they handled the ups/downs of getting to their wedding day/Christmas Eve.

I think the book is a little longer than a novella, so I was worried the author made the previous book a HEA for now and this would throw in angst and obstacles to their final HEA. I am so happy to say that both stayed the course (no OW/OM or doubts)! I found that so satisfying as I got to the last page. There was a lot of frisky time in the first book, but this one seemed to have a whole lot more and it’s safe to say they’re not exactly dull or into missionary only. I think you could read this without the first book, but you’re really denying yourself another fun story with really engaging characters.

4 stars!!! Reading the series as a whole you immerse yourself in the books. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but must say I love the banter and barbs thrown towards each other!! Each couple has the same sought of problems but different scenarios, great read...

I didn't realize how much I missed the princess and the prick until I read A Very Dirty Christmas, and now I want to go reread Prick!
This was the perfect sweet, funny, hot, holiday read, as we got to visit with Caulter and Kate as they prepare for their wedding and baby. Caulter is still his same dirty, dirty, sexy and swoony self as before, only better! Love seeing how much in love he is with Kate, really how much they love each other!
A Very Dirty Christmas is funny and sexy, it's going to make you laugh and swoon, and fall in love with these 2 all over again...I loved it!

My Review of A Very Dirty Christmas by Sabrina Paige
My Rating 4.5 Xmas Stars!
What a fun sexy read this novella was! I enjoyed catching up with Kat and Prick “aka” Caulter.
I loved reading about this couple again and seeing just where their lives had taken them and to see how much stronger the relationship was with all the many changes such as, wedding and baby and a few adventures along the way. Well worth reading and getting the inside scoop!!
Sabrina never disappoints when she writes a story. The chemistry is still hot off the charts with The Prick and yes, “he’s still a Prick” and Kat who is still her Princess self.
IF you haven’t had the pleasure of reading Prick do so now and then indulge in this sweet novella!

I received this book in an exchange for an honest review. This was a sequel to Prick which follows Caulter and Kate. I loved Prick so I was thrilled when I found out there would be a sequel about them. I really loved this book. I read this in one day I had a hard time putting it down it was hot and there was funny parts too. The ending was perfect. This was truly a dirty Christmas read. This book also includes extra scenes from Tool and Cannon. I liked the extra epilogue to Cannon's story. If you decide to read A very dirty Christmas I suggest reading Prick first so you can get to know how the couple started. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

I didn't read Prick before I read this & although I don't think it's necessary I will definitely be reading it. I absolutely loved Caulter Sterling, he is funny, sexy, dirty mouthed & a total alpha. Kate was his stepsister when the two of them fell for each other in their teens. Now they are all grown up, engaged to me married on Christmas Eve & Kate is very pregnant. This book was very funny, sexy & also sweet. It had a little bit of everything, police, a broken bed, Santa & his naughty elf & a runaway monkey in a tux.

It's my favorite bad boy step-brother!!! I couldn't not buy this book as soon as it became available. Caulter Sterling is still hot and his love is still intense. Cute read with lots of sex. So, maybe I should say it's a hot read instead of a cute one. Either way, ho, ho, ho!

Review of Prick:

I can't stop thinking about that prick.

Caulter Sterling is a prick.

A filthy-mouthed, womanizing, crude, spoiled, arrogant prick.

The tattooed, pierced, panty-melting-hot son of a celebrity.

I hate him.

He's slept his way through practically every girl at Brighton Academy.

Except for me.

I'm the good girl. The responsible girl. The 4.0, class president, studied-so-much-she-never-lost-the-big-V girl.

And in celebration of graduation and adulthood, I just made the worst decision in the history of ever.

I lost my V-card to the devil himself.

It was just one night. So what if it was mind-blowing? Hit it and quit it.

Except I just found out that my father - the Senator, the Presidential hopeful - is marrying Caulter's mother. Oh, and this summer? We're hitting the campaign trail.

One big happy family.

I'm totally f**ked.

Rate: 4,2/5 stars

I love bad boy books, I'm that kind of girl.

Prick was just a sassy, sexy story to read. Cauler is this sexy thing with tattoos and bad boy acts but he ain't that bad.

The main character is the goody two shoes type of girl but she doesn't want to go to college a virgin so she gets the manwhore of the school to take her V-card but that manwhore happens to be very very sexy and they one night of amazing sex that ends up being hard to forget to both of them.

The real problem is two weeks later they learn that their parents are getting married and they're gonna live together during the summer.
Caulter and Katherine develop a sort of cat and mouse relationship in the first couple of days they see each other at home but truth is neither of them can stop thinking about that night and they end up doing it again and again and again until the day of their parents wedding where Katherine learns about the Brighton Bingo only she doens't let Caulter explain anything.

They both end up heartbroken and Caulter leaves for a year and when he comes back, he comes with a plan for his life and to get Kate back but turns out he doesn't need a plan for that because once she sees him she proclaims the last words he said to her before he left and everything is perfect.

Review of A Very Dirty Wedding:

I'm marrying a dirty, arrogant prick...and I'm having his baby.

Rate: 4,7 / 5 stars

I missed me some Caulter. This was as always an intertaining, sexy and sweet read. The whole wedding democle was so funny, everything that could go wrong did but everything still worked out because they only thing that really mattered was the love between Caulter and Kate.

Review of Tool:

I call him “Tool” because he’s a dick.

Gaige O’Neal is nicknamed “Tool” because of what he’s packing. Rumor is, he’s well equipped.

I wouldn’t know. I’ve never had the pleasure.

He’s a cocky, entitled, insufferable a**hole who’s as reckless with women as he is with that stupid motorcycle he races.

He’s also my stepbrother. Lucky me.

It’s been four years since I’ve seen him. Four years since he’s made me so frustrated I could scream. Four years since he’s given me that look, the one that makes me instantly wet.

So it’s just f**ing fitting that the first time I see him in four years, he’s buried beneath three scantily clad blondes.

Now I’m stuck here under the same roof with him while he recovers from a racing injury. An injury that clearly hasn’t affected the use of his tool.

The problem is, as much as I despise him, I just can’t help myself. I want to find out what kind of tool he's working with.

Rate: 3,9/ 5 stars

It had been a while since I had read 'Prick' but I do remember liking it and it definitely made me wanna check out other stepbrother romances so you can think how happy it made me to find out that there were two sequels.
As soon as I finished what I was currently reading, I dived right into Gaige and Delaney.
This book was just as I remember 'Prick' being, funny, sexy and steamy. The bickering between the two was intertainin and the chemistry undeniable. The sexy encounters were exactly that but you couldn't deny that it was always more than sex with these two, they were the only ones who didn't realise that their feelings were reciprocated.
It's a pretty quick read if you like it the minute you start reading and can't put it down, it literally took me less than 4 hours to read. If you like stepbrother romances, this is definitely a book for you!

Review of Cannon:

Hendrix "Cannon" Cole is a major D*ck. That's D*ck with a capital D.

He's nicknamed "Cannon" because of the weapon between his legs.

He's damaged, dirty, and demanding. A sexy-as-f*ck ex-Marine.

My stepbrother.

I used to hate him. Then I loved him. Then I hated him again.

Our history is complicated. But my family thinks he's the perfect solution to my problem. A scandal has thrown me into the limelight, and I'll be screwed if I don't stay on the straight and narrow. Now, Hendrix's new job is making sure I behave.

What I didn't count on was being stuck spending every waking moment with him.

The heat between us is explosive. But if he fires that cannon, we'll both get burned.

Rate: 3.5/5 stars

This was definitely the one I liked less of Prick, Tool and Cannon. I still enjoyed it very much and it was as always intertaining, funny and definitely sexy. I guess I just didn't like the characters as much.

I was in book bliss when Sabrina Paige said she would dish out more Prick, all wrapped up in Christmas goodness. Just the thought of more of Caulter’s dirty mouth and his big package…holy swoon! One of my Christmas book wishes came true! I had a major bookgasm before starting Prick: The Christmas version.

With Prick splashed across A Very Dirty Christmas, you know you’re in for a treat. A guilty pleasure. A gift that keeps on giving and giving. So thrilled for more of my Prick package, I had to devour this delicious, decadent, and A Very Dirty Christmas story as soon as it hit my kindle.

A Very Dirty Christmas is a hot, humorous, and hypnotizing romance that consumes your heart, soul, and panties---the perfect package. This naughty and nice novella’s lines had me both laughing out loud and longing in need as Prick couldn’t help but make a much-wanted appearance. I loved every minute of this addicting adventure loaded with laughs and swathed in sex, steam, and sweetness.

Beautiful Katherine ‘Kate’ Harrison is about to have her former stepbrother’s baby and is preparing to marry gorgeous Caulter Sterling. The Princess and the Prick. They still are hot for each other---even more so than in Prick. They still have it going on with the volleying of playful banter and heat in the sheets.

“Caulter chuckles low under his breath, before he brings his mouth down on mine, his way or reminding me exactly why I’m marrying him. As if I’d ever forget. His lips are the most familiar feeling in the world, yet a thrill rushes through me all the way from the top of my head to the tips of my toes, every time he touches me.”

Like Prick, A Very Dirty Christmas has some filthy and funny lines that will make you pee your pants with laughter or wet them with need.

“Don’t think I don’t see the look in your eyes when you see this specimen of manhood in front of you.”

“Who would have thought that Katherine Harrison would be sitting astride my rigid cock, grinding her pussy against me as my hands caress her swollen breasts?

I love how the chemistry remains combustible and Caulter is still arrogant though now attentive to his future wife and baby mama too---treating her like a precious gift that he unwraps often, displaying his own package. Their relationship is fun, fresh, and filled with banter laced with humor and heat.

“The mother of my grandchild should be pampered.”
“Yeah, Caulter, Kate says, smirking. Pampered.”
“I pamper her, I say. I pampered her this afternoon, even.”
“I get a perverse sense of satisfaction when a blush rises to Kate’s cheeks.”

The wedding prep comes with mishaps and moments of craziness. The circus of events include a bachelor party that makes the news. Kate his having doubts about the former manwhore she’s about to marry---whether her Prick is still a prick.

“Once a bad boy, always a bad boy. Past tense. I hope it’s past tense.”

A Very Dirty Christmas is a whirlwind of an adventure with so many fun, funny, and fire-hot moments that it feels like you’re watching a rom-com unfold. It’s a trip down Prick memory lane. It’s the same. It’s different. It’s perfect. A must-read masterpiece for all Prick lovers.

***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!***

This is a novella from The Stepbrother Series, featuring characters from Prick-Caulter and Katherine, AKA "Princess."

It deals primarily with the lead up to their wedding, in all it's ridiculousness, and the birth of their child. This book will also have you laughing out loud at the antics involved in the moments leading up to the wedding. You will never look at Santa the same way again. And can I just say that this is the right way to do a bachelorette party!

This book is extremely sexy, and full of erotically charged moments. If you are looking for a book that will make you hot, look no further. If you have ever read a book by this author before, you know she can get very creative with a sex scene.

There were some things I really liked about this book: the funny over-the-top moments, including Ella and the Senator, the connection between Kat and Caulter, and the way that Caulter changed his life around. He was very dedicated to Kat and was extremely happy to be a father. There were some really lovable moments when he was preparing for the baby's arrival. You can't help but love a guy that goes crazy over his baby. I also thought that the wedding scene was crazy funny and enjoyable.

On the other hand, there were some things that I didn't really like. I didn't really feel like this added a whole lot more to their story other than a few tender moments here and there. I felt that most of this book was about the sex and their physical relationship. Yes that is a big part of their connection, but I wanted more storyline about their life and their future. Maybe more of their story after the baby comes. It felt a lot like I would read a really good scene, and then there were like 3 sex scenes in a row. I just felt like it was a bit much. I like a good erotic read, but I feel like the sex should enhance the story and not be the focal point.

There was also one particular aspect to the storyline that came out of nowhere, and just felt like it was added for no real reason. It didn't really do much for the story, and I thought it was really underwhelming. If there had been a build up to it in this book, or even the previous book, then it would have had more of an impact.

Do I recommend this book? That's a tough question. If you are looking for a book that is going to make you laugh but is primarily sex, then yes, this book is exactly what you want. If you are looking for a book that is going to enhance the original story and give you more character depth along with the sweet and sexy, then this probably isn't what you are looking for.

This is a sequel to Prick- 4 years have passed and now Caulter Sterling and Kate Harrison are getting ready for their baby’s arrival and their marriage. The sex is still as hot as when they were first together and Caulter just wants to get his pregnant fiancée down the aisle before the baby arrives. Kate is so ready to have her former step brother’s baby-she cannot believe they have been together 4 years and all they have been thru, they are still together. Oh the hot and steamy sex definitely is going on in this novella. The humor is loud and proud along with a reappearance of the “Prick”.
The lead-up to the wedding preparation comes with stresses and mishaps and huge Craziness. Then there is the bachelor party –which lands in the news. The doubts that Kate secretly has been having and they were slight doubts about him settling down and being a family man are suddenly back and huge- about the Prick still being a “PRICK” and whether or not is reformed player . After the news story ran, Kate now has huge doubts and is starting to think twice about marriage and her “prick: Caulter.
What I can say is , there are ups, there are downs, but like in marriage you take the bitter with the sweet and you work together. Kate and Caulter show the readers what made them so special in Prick and what carries over into “A Very Dirty Christmas”. I LOVE this novella and am soooooo glad to see their follow up story. It is beautiful, funny, sweet, naughty ..oh and the epilogue is to die for!!

My rating: 4.8 stars *****

A Very Dirty Christmas follows Caulter and Kate from the first book in this series as they prepare to enter the next phase of their life. This follow up novella definitely needs to be read after the first book in the series, as it continues their story. I loved getting back with these characters and spending time with them once again. I especially loved the fact that they were getting married and having a baby. I am a huge sucker for a happily ever after, and this novella definitely delivered on that in spades.

This novella has all the personality and heat from the first book in this series with these characters, while also giving you more of what their happily ever after looks like. The characters were just as great as before, and their chemistry was off the charts hot once again. Their chemistry is practically palpable, and they definitely delivered on all accounts. The events of this book definitely pull you in like crazy and will have you ready for what comes next for these two. I completely tore through this book because I needed to know what happened next.

Overall this was a great follow up to what I read in Prick. It was fun and heated and sweet all at the same time. It gave me all that I loved about the first book in the series, and just built upon all of that more. It gave me more of the characters I loved, and it gave me more of their happily ever after in a swoony, heat and passion filled book that left me loving them even more. This bundle even includes the next two books in the series, which I can't wait to start sometime soon!

A sexually charged Christmas novella sequel to Prick

~~~I received an ARC of A Very Dirty Christmas by Sabrina Paige for an honest review!~~~
WARNING: YOU MUST READ PRICK BEFORE YOU OPEN THIS NOVELLA!!!
This is a sequel to Prick that takes off about 4 yrs later with Caulder and Kate planning their wedding and getting ready or the delivery of their baby. These two were smoking hot in Prick and have only gotten hotter. In a way, Caulder has matured into a responsible adult with being very business like when it comes to his job, the expectations of his upcoming fatherhood, and staying monogamous in his relationship with Kate. It is adorable to see how devoted he is to Kate and how he finds her even more attractive as the time passes and she becomes more evident being pregnant.
But as with any young couple starting a new chapter, emotions and fears can get the best of you, but this couple has two major life changes happening at once. I love how they handle these difficult situations that keep popping up to try and drive them apart.
I loved this novella, but again do not pick up until you've read Prick. This is an easy and fast read, though it is full of MATURE scenes, so no one under 18 y/o please.
An enjoyable, humorous, smexy catch up with Caulter and Kate.
Caulter and Kate have now been together 4 years and expecting their first child. Amongst preparations for their Christmas Eve wedding, chaos soon ensues with blizzards, a ring bearer monkey, naughty Santa & elf and sleigh rides to the hospital!!
Caulter is still the tatted and pierced bad boy with the dirty talk - but exclusively for his princess. Kate still tries to be the voice of reason, but seems pregnancy hormones are squishing any sensible thoughts! Some of their escapades still made me *snort*, seems they have moved up from library ladder destruction and onto beds!
Overall, it was an entertaining read and great to catch up with them as they embark on the next stage of their relationship, embracing their new family and all the excitement this ensues, together each step of the way. The ending was happy fluff and the epilogue leaves you with a sugar high - Caulter may be a tad over the top in the last few sentences......but tis' the season to indulge in sweet goo!!
I did do a reread of Prick right before this so that I could remind myself how much I love the Prick and the Princess. And yes I still do and it was still a VERY steamy read.
I was actually a little surprised, in a good way, about how funny this novella was. There were bits of humor in Prick but this one really hit a home run as far as humor goes.
Caulter and Katherine still smoke up the bedroom or car or.... There is still plenty of chemistry and Sabrina was able to make the couple even dirtier than before (I know I didn't think that was possible either).
There were a few flashback scenes which will help the reader who has not read Prick recently but they did not overwhelm the book at all.
Overall, definitely recommend picking up this book.
As a side note, I bought this when it included Prick, Tool, and Cannon with extra scenes. I enjoyed the bonus scenes in Prick which came with this novella (have not read them in Tool and Cannon yet at the time of writing this review). I am not sure if that was a limited time thing but am pretty sure that the extra novels of Tool and Cannon are only a limited time. So in other words grab this book up now!
3-3.5
If you haven't read "Prick" you really need to do so before reading this.
I loved meeting up with Kate and Caulter again. I felt slightly pervy while reading Prick because they were so young, and soooo dirty...that it was a relief to find that 4 years had passed and I felt a lot less skeevy while reading their exploits this time around. There was something oddly sweet about Caulter trying to get his hugely pregnant fiancé naked at every opportunity, and that no matter how awkward or huge Kate might have felt Caulter found her just as sexy as he did when they first hooked up. There is lots and lots of sex...to the point where I started skimming some of the sex scenes...which is also why my rating varies...I loved what was going on in the storyline because some of it was hilarious, but you had to get through numerous sex scenes to get to the next laugh. All in all a nice little epilogue for the fans of the Princess and the Prick.
What a great christmas surprise. This story picks up where Prick left off, and let me say that I absolutely loved that book. This addition was just as good. It relived some of the hottest love scenes I have ever had the privilege to read, while brilliantly adding to their ridiculously funny and drama packed wedding and birth of their first child. Sabrina just seems to capture that extremely sexy alpha male character to perfection. Caulter is the epitome of the perfect not so gentleman. Kate, to me, is his other half. They compliment each other like peas and carrots. Caulter is rough around the edges, with the ability to blow the pants right off poor, unsuspecting readers. Totally captivated by Caulter and Kate, and the rest of their blissfully messed up family and friends. The situations they get themselves caught in are hilarious. I give this book 5 well deserved stars. I would give it more if I was able. This author never fails to totally blow my mind. Her writing is simply genius, and I simply cannot get enough.
A fun, sexy follow up- 3.5 stars
*I received an ARC in exchange for posting my honest review*
I rounded up the star rating because you get three of the Stepbrother novels by Sabrina along with this novella, and those were all 4 or 5 star reads for me.
This was a fun follow up to Prick. I enjoyed catching up with Kate and Caulter, and seeing how their relationship was four years later. There are a lot of sex scenes, but they're hot and to be expected from this couple leading up to their wedding. As usual, these two have great banter that never fails to make me smile. The obstacles they face leading up to their big day are funny in a ridiculous way that just made me giggle. Interspersed with the silliness and sexiness, were sweet scenes that show how much love exists between Caulter and Katherine. This novella read like an extended epilogue, so if you enjoy checking in with couples after their story and are in the mood for some sexy and happy, I recommend it. If you haven't read Prick, Tool, or Cannon, this is a FANTASTIC collection.
3.5 Lipsticks
This is a tough review to write because I really enjoyed Prick, it was one of the very few step brother romances I read and it was funny, and sexy and swoony at times, and while I loved the chance to get reacquainted with how Caulter and Katherine's lives have changed, I found myself skimming the sex scenes to get back to the story.
Now don't get me wrong, a good sex scene can enhance an already great story, and I was really enjoying this Christmas novella, but the more I read the more I found myself skimming because there's a lot of sex here, more than I felt Paige really needed to do this story justice.
Overall I enjoyed it, but for the number of times I felt myself getting ready to skim through yet another sexy time scene the more it took away from my over all enjoyment. For fans of this series, getting a chance to get reacquainted will be great, and the bonus and extended scenes from other books in this series will no doubt titillate but for me, it ended up just being a bit much.
