A bit convoluted!
I didn’t like this as much as the first two books. It got too messy and a bit hard to understand in places. I like supernatural plots and stories where the heroine gets some sort of abilities or powers.
The first two books started out great, in that Davina is ‘The immortal’ with special powers, but in this book the immortal is like a separate entity within her that is boxed up and she keeps a tight reign on, but due to some torture and magic, the box opens and the entity takes over and boxes up Davina, so she is absent for much of the book while her friends try to get rid of this super powerful immortal bent on taking over everything.

Yo, what happened? I almost dnfed this but I kept on. I liked the first two but this one I did not connect with at all. I skimmed through half of it and I almost never skim through a Tijan book. Davy was annoying and I got to the point where I wanted the immortal to just kill everyone and be done with it.

The Finale
I adored this book cover and it gave you a hint as to the story that would unfold inside. I love when a cover can do that. As for Davina’s story it unfolds to perfection.
I have been a fan of Tijan since her first book and I have waited and waited to read this trilogy and I am glad that I started it this week and ended the week with the final installment, it was well worth the wait. The one thing I usually hate about stories is the fast ending but not Tijan. The fight scene was amazing and was given just enough attention, the ending gave me just enough that I was satisfied with the ending and at last happy!
I recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance and action. Here’s to a great beginning, middle and end!

February 8, 2017Davy was a character I was so happy to get back to, I absolutely loved her first two books and I had been eagerly anticipating the final installment in her trilogy. Despite me not being the mood for paranormal and being a bit clueless about some of the characters, this book was still very enjoyable.
Her story is epic, her abilities are unparalleled and we finally get to see the full extent of The Immortal’s power. This story was an epic and engaging conclusion to the trilogy and once I’m in the mood for paranormal again I’ll devour all three properly.

Davy is stuck between two brothers, one she loves and one she loathes. This one is power hungry. She wants to take control over you, and she'll swallow your soul whole to do that. She won't hesitate. Don't let the darkness win.It's probably glaringly obvious that I didn't give this book a star rating. I'm not going to for now. I really should've re-read the first 2 books before reading this one and I didn't, plus I wasn't really in a paranormal mood. I kind of felt like I was forcing myself to read this and I know my star rating won't be indicative of my true feelings at this point. I'll probably re-read this book (along with the first 2) when I'm in more of a paranormal mood and at that point I'll give it some stars but until then I'm leaving them blank.

An epic journey comed to an end. And I am both, happy and sad.
It's the end I hoped for.
As for the Epilog, it got a little cheezy, but after all they have been through, they deserve a little cheezynes.
As for the story, I don't know how much I can say without spoiling it.
The second book ended with a bang and the third book is continuing on that road. One "Oh my God, this can't be happening!" Moment chases the other. And to all the crap that is going down, Davy starts to lose herself in the power of the Imortal. At some point not even Lucas can reach her, and everything he was willing to do and sacrifice to save Davy, seemed to be already lost, because Davy started to lose her own battle against the Imortal.
What I also liked, where the switching POVs, not only between Davy and Lucas. We got the chance to follow the story through several eyes.

I absolutely love this series, its been my favorite of all Tijans. So I'm pretty upset with this ending. I was confused at multiple points and this whole book felt like it was thrown together.
These random tidbits for Brown and Pippa and Kates were thoughts that never seemed explained. What happened to Gavin in the end when he was in so much at the beginning. Why have Emily show up in the last pages when it was known the Roane didn't like her. I found it strange that the Alpha wolf Christian Christane would come all that way to help the vampires then just leave without seeing how it ended.
I guess I'm just upset because it feels like I waited so long for a conclusion and maybe built it up only to be let down. I felt invested in this story, these characters. Im giving 3 stars because I loved the first two stories so much.

I usually like Tijans books a lot, but this one was a miss for me. I could go on and on but I saw a review by a Ms. Cheney Stropus and she wrote a review that knocked my socks off because 1.) it made me realize what pissed me off so much about the book. which was Davy's woe-is me attitude. (you gotta read her review! ) and 2.) I couldn't agree with it more.

P.S. I had to say I got pissed when she started with this plot of the Immortal separating itself (which she claimed over and over in the first two books that Davy IS the Immortal, there is no other thread holder) and it never ended. It was hell!

Nope, just didn’t work for me. Although everything worked out in the end, I didn’t care for the way any of it went for Davey and the rest of the gang throughout the rest of the book.

So, I'm not really sure where all the confusion is coming from. I read the reviews for this book more than a year ago and I allowed them to keep me from wanting to read it. What a shame. The series was great, well written, of course. It IS full of twists that were not seen. There were plans set in motion from the beginning that us, as readers, were not made privy to until the time came. And then I thought it was quite well explained.
Let see... one point of confusion was Lily and being the last thread holder
I have to take a moment to point out that it was said from nearly the beginning that hardly anyone knew much about the actual prophesy of the immortal and/or thread holders.
Why was Davy a thread holder/immortal at all?
Although it was mentioned that the thread was always passed by touch we already know that wasn't necessarily true since it passed first to Davy without physical touch and then

I have to say this book was pretty much a complete let down. I was hoping, that because Davy became one with The Immortal thread in the second book, that at some point she would become this bad ass that was going to save the world and reunite supernatural beings of all types, or something awesome like that, but that did not happen. She whined and complained about her destiny through the first two books and it didn't get any better in this one. She was kidnapped at the end of the 2nd.. Ok time to be awesome and do some cool supernatural, all powerful shit and escape right?? Nope!! I felt no fierceness from her, no fight. She sat back and just let herself be tortured for months, waiting for Roane to come rescue her. She was always running and scared. At times I would think that she was about to snap out of it, but then she did nothing! It was so frustrating!! When she finally was able to break out of her prison, she got all cool and performed all sorts of sorcery magic to help her and her friends escape, and then, yup, she slept and suppressed the immortal inside of her. Now up to this point, you actually think The Immortal is there to help and she keeps begging Davy to let her take over. Eventually, The Immortal wins out because Davy is weak, and afraid of everything and she basically gets a front row seat to the rest of the shit-show war going on between the wolves and the vampires. Again, I read on, thinking that at any moment Davy would take over. Nope! She sucks so bad! She was a somewhat hard to like character to begin with, being a "woe is me" kind of person, but she was alright enough, but as the series went on I found myself thinking she was just so lame! She couldn't do anything, didn't want to accept her fate, didn't want to admit who and what she was, and tried to run and hide from everything. Reading this type of genre you generally read stories that are amazingly far-fetched and you have characters who are always larger than life and brave and selfless; Davy was none of those things, not to me anyway. Then there was the fact that there seemed to be way too much going on!! We got this story from several different POV's throughout, but most of them didn't seem relevant. I would have liked it if Brown had been able to play a bigger role, or if we'd gotten more of an explanation about what happened with Kates. What happened with Emily? Is Pippa bonded with Pete like she was supposed to be? What happened with the Roane family and the other vampire families that fought against Roane? Is there an easier time existing between vamps and wolves now?? I don't know any of this! If you're going to have so much going on in a story, the loose ends need to be cleaned up a bit. It seemed like the story just kind of ended. It was chaos, then Brown showed up and Davy was back, but oh wait, the sorcerer that was helping Brown wasn't helping at all and then all of a sudden Talia had a physical form and I'm not even sure what the hell else happened. There was just a lot of crap thrown in at the end. It didn't all make sense to me, and overall, Davy is probably my least favorite supernatural heroine ever. She makes Bella Swan look like the fucking terminator. Honestly, she just sucked!

WHEW!!!
What a ride... I've waited with baited breath for this book to come out since the end of Davy Harwood in Transition and although this wasn't a let down, I feel like it fell a little flat for me.
I feel that towards the end, it got rushed, the introduction of Cal and Spencer, seems weird, and then they just leave after everything they see... strange.
I love that Gregory got his daughter back, that Davy and Lucas got a HEA, and that Brown & Pippa are a big part of that. Along with Emily (gag) and a little Kates.
Overall, I think it was a great end to an amazing series, but like everything, everything Tijan touches turns to Gold.

Fun fun and more fuuuun
This three books are so much fun ,the story was so different than what i was expecting , and even as some parts on the last one took forever to develop it was really fun ...
Down side , the ending felt a bit rushed and anticlimatic.... Maybe i was expecting too much , plus side ROANE ....oh dear! Could he be any hotter? I dont think so .... Jesus he was great to read (and day dream about) :)

It was okay, but I kept putting it down, which isn't a good sign. But, i cared enough about the characters to complete the series, so that's something. But, another bad sign is when i keep looking to see how much is left to read. It was an okay series, but ultimately, I'm glad it's over.

As I closed the last book in this series, my only thought is that I wish I never picked up the first, that I never committed to reading the whole thing, and that I could get those hours of my life back.
The same issues I discussed in my review for book 1 and review for book 2 persist along with some new ones.
I will do my best to be polite and respectful here but honestly, this sums up my impression as I read and finished the story. I'll tell you why below, but if you don't wanna hear it, you might want to skip this one.
First, the plot becomes so convoluted I simply have no words. It feels torn in multiple directions with no cohesiveness to it. There's the war, the kidnapping, and side plots with some of the side characters that are unrelated to the story, don't have any effect on it (the story would be unchanged if it were taken out), and only serve to make the story to feel more disjointed then ever.
The lack of characterization continues to be a problem, especially as Davy embraces her real name (Davina) because she's a "new person" - but she doesn't feel that way. Yes she's been through some stuff, but she doesn't feel any different and she doesn't really act any different either. We are, once again, being told something has happened but are presented with no evidence that it's true.
Most of the newly introduced side characters are completely absent here - not even mentioned in passing - except maybe a small mention in the epilogue. And of those that appear, they are very brief - maybe 1 or two scenes in the beginning that last half a page, and then a sudden appearance at the end to help save the day. They are plot devices (though poorly executed ones), but the lack of characterization doesn't make that shocking. Roane and Davy have almost no time together in the entire book - one dream scene and then the ending. That's it.
There was also a bit of retcon with the previous books, specifically around fertility. The Mori are special in this regard, but a single line explaining why the impossible is suddenly possible because of time spent on their land (when the fertility thing is genetic, not location based) is not an explanation, it's a retcon. The issue with the Immortal and thread also goes against what was previously established (the thread is canonically GONE in book 2).
My final note ... as an author, you have one job - to write and tell a story. I didn't think this author did a spectacular job in the previous 2 books, but there was an effort even if the execution left a lot to be desired. This book ... this book was worse in that regard; and by that I mean the ending wasn't even written as part of the story. There is this big moment that is supposed to be climactic at the end. The story basically ends there - the next chapter, the last chapter save the epilogue, is us being told what happened in the aftermath. We see none of the aftermath, nothing of how any of it was resolved, nada. We just skip to a week later and are given a gist of what happened. It's like the author knew what would happen but couldn't or wouldn't write it, so we just got a bare bones summary. No attempt at writing the ending and giving us that as part of the story at all.

Yup. This had to be my favorite authors first legitimate series, cause this was all over the place and just a bad read. I couldn’t even enjoy the good parts of the book because of everything else wrong with it. That’s a problem!
As a reader of fantasy, I cherish when a fantasy world is built well. This includes the characters and how their powers and abilities go with them. Tijan did not do well in this series on that idea. The world building in this series lacked intent. And a lot of details she added in about the creatures powers or simple details, she changed later in the book! This annoyed me very much. DONT JUST CHANGE YOUR MIND FOR THE HELL OF IT!
For example, how are you going to have in the book that vampires fly, but then later in the book vampires don’t fly? Now if vampires didn’t fly this entire time, then that showed how the writing wasn’t up to par. Just one detail of many many others.
Writing fantasy is hard, especially when you’re building an entirely new world. I felt like many parts in this book was rushed and so details were missed. While other times scenes were dragged out and details were not right at all.
Character development was eh. The powers of The Immortal was annoying to me because the author wrote her to be one way in other books, and all of a sudden she changed her powers and restraints entirely. This was so annoying.
Can you tell I was annoyed? I didn’t enjoy this series like I thought I was. Tijan is my favorite author, but this was not written to the caliber that I know she writes at. If she does a rewrite for this book, I would ENTIRELY back that up.
Overall the series, the book, seemed messy. Could’ve been soooooo much better.

Writing fantasy is hard, especially when you’re building an entirely new world. I felt like many parts in this book was rushed and so details were missed. While other times scenes were dragged out and details were not right at all.
Character development was eh. The powers of The Immortal was annoying to me because the author wrote her to be one way in other books, and all of a sudden she changed her powers and restraints entirely. This was so annoying.
Can you tell I was annoyed? I didn’t enjoy this series like I thought I was. Tijan is my favorite author, but this was not written to the caliber that I know she writes at. If she does a rewrite for this book, I would ENTIRELY back that up.
Overall the series, the book, seemed messy. Could’ve been soooooo much better.

Reading this series made me realize how much Tijan has evolved over her tenure as a writer. The first book I ever read by Tijan was Fallen Crest High, and I had those high standards in my mind when I started the Immortal Prophecy. I think that is the main reason why I instantly hated the first book in the series, Davy Harwood.
The story started without a background, there was no character development, the characters droned on and on without any purpose, and the writing was crap. It was so far off from Fallen Crest High, I couldn't believe both the books were written by the same person. It was difficult for me to get involved in this series, and I was not immediately addicted; in fact, there were times where I questioned my reason for continuing on... but the storyline slowly but steadily started getting its shit together, and I started enjoying it more.
The Immortal Prophecy is not Tijan's best work, and I don't think anything will ever be able to top the Fallen Crest series, but it's good to see how far the author has come.

Tijan doesn’t really do paranormal stories, so when this series started I wanted it. I wanted to love it. And honestly, I think it’s a really great premise. However, the execution fell flat. There was barely any depth to the world she created and when there was, it was mostly telling rather than showing. By the end, everybody was using their power to do “incredible” things every other second. But nobody understood how anything worked. There was no sense of “order” for how magic worked. No explanation of how vampires had magic. Everything was just “somehow I felt all of them joined together” this and “somehow the hunters gave me power” that. I don’t know. I just hoped for more. Tijan did great creating the fallen crest series based off three main characters by adding depth to their characters and world and it seemed like she forgot how to apply that to this story because it was paranormal.

I’m still freaking out with the last chapters and end of the book.😮 I didn’t expect even half of what happened.
The book begins with Davy being kidnapped by Lucan with Kates’ help(who is forced to betray her childhood friend and then she is tortured for months by Lucan). For months Davy is tortured by witches and Lucan hides her in mori territory ( vampires with magic).
Lucas doesn’t know where she is but he knows that he has a war on the way so he asks for the help of the Christane werewolves, whose leader shared his love for Talia. He will also receive the help of Saren and the others thread-holders, and he will send Brown with a sorcerer to help her unleash her powers.
And that only in the first half of the book.
The second half will blow your mind🤯😱, the Inmortal takes control of Davy and she is a real bitch. But to stop her many lives will have to be sacrificed.
A very happy HEA with a surprise.

This final book in the Immortal Prophecy series doesn't not disappoint. Davina has been taken over by the Immortal and she has plans for the people she loves and it will not end well. She tries to fight but how do you fight an immortal creature that is clawing to get out and exact her form of punishment?
Wow! What an ending!!! This series just got better with every book and the way it ended just blew me away. Great characters mixed into a great story that left me breathless. I wish there was more and it is sad to say goodbye to these characters but I enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend this series.

I loved this fantasy book. Lucas steals your heart in the first book and he continues to champion Davy throughout this series of books. He is handsome, caring, a genius, and he loves Davy.
The Immortal has taken over Davy's body and she is ruthless. Lucas has to fight the war until the Immortal steps in and ends the war. Then Lucas has to fight to get Davy back from the Immortal. The Immortal is trying to kill the last thread holder so she can stay in Davy's body forever and no longer have some human contain her.
After Lucas kills Jacith there is little hope left for the planet to continue with The Immortal. Lucas has a dream that gives him hope for the future.

Now I know I should never read the reviews, I just have to read the book and see if I like it or not. This series was great!!!!! I don't know why people say this book was rushed and it wasn't great. Inn the book everyone gets a say, ma y things are explained especially why davina survived when the thread was taken from her and passed on to talia's daughter. It is explained why Davina was able to have a daughter. The book was exciting and you can't put it down as soon as you start to read it.

Tijan is a work of art with her writing.
I say this because I really didn't care for paranormal. However, reading this series OMG I fell in love all over again. Her male characters are to die for. Each is special in their own way.
Davy and Lucas goes through so much to get to their HEA and all the trails and tribulations that stand in the way to hurt them tried. They made it, they over came, and they found the life that would make them happy together. You can't go wrong reading this series but the ending (swooning here) hearts.

Paranormal, vampires and werewolves, I’m always happy to dive into.
I struggled with this take on the PNR trope. I completed the series, but it felt rushed in Divina. The plot skipped, as if pieces were removed?
“There’d been mistrust and a reluctant aligning with each other.”
Of the characters as a whole, this scene was probably the closest I came to connecting with anyone in the book.
“Our time has come to an end. I hope to see you on the other side one day.”
Typos were still present today in print. I’m always hopeful authors will go back in and clean up edits.
