Fast and Loose: Men of the Sisterhood book 2 is by Fern Michaels. This book takes the men of the Sisterhood off on another adventure without the girls. Can they really do a job without the girls to help them?
While the Sisterhood, minus Maggie, are off on business and cannot be contacted, Jack gets a phone call from Bert Navarro. Bert was not only ex-FBI, but current chief of security for Countess Anna de Silva based in Las Vegas. Bert was currently out of the country on personal business but kept in touch with Countess Anna’s business via Internet. He had been going over the financial records of her casino in Las Vegas and noted someone was taking small amounts out of it. He checked with other casinos and found they were losing money to some hacker as well. Since he couldn’t verify it and couldn’t go to Las Vegas himself, he called Jack for assistance. Jack and the other men married to or closely connected to the women of the Sisterhood agreed to meet. When Bert told them of his suspicions, the men, along with Maggie, decided to go to Las Vegas and find out what was going on.
They figured that a hacker was doing the stealing as no one was able to figure it out. Angus Tookus, their own hacker was their best bet. They figured that only the very best hacker was able to do this and since Angus was considered the second-best hacker, they went to him to find the best hacker. What Angus finds concerns him. Philonias Neddlemeyer was the best of the best. However, he was the one who took Angus under his wing and taught him all he knew. Angus finds himself between the two groups. Who has his loyalty? He finally helps the men and helps them find PIP, the third-best hacker and get her to help them create a picture of Philonius or RC (Robin Hood) so they could identify him. Would their picture of him help?
As they get involved in the case, it becomes more complex as the acting head of security, Dixson Kelly, becomes the target of a group of women who had dated him and now wanted revenge; Angus and PIP disappear as does Philonias; the money is returned with interest; and the men have no idea what is going on
This is not the best of Fern Michael's books. It is too unorganized. The men are just too flaky and confused, even Charles.
