Book 4 NIKOLAI
We finally get to Nikolai and Vivian's story. This was a terrific journey. Nikolai lives a life of such darkness. He's is a survivor of an ugly childhood and now lives life at the height of the ugly underbelly of a crime syndicate. He has been Vivian's provider and protector for years now. She is no longer that child but a beautiful woman with a loving pure soul. She is the only source of light in his darkness and he calls her his sun. Vivian is also a survivor of a hellish childhood. She refuses to let those memories determine who she is. I loved her gentle strength and determination. She was so quick to forgive and to see the "why" behind Nikolai's behavior. She wasn't a doormat but she wasn't made of steel either. She walks into her relationship with Nikolai with her eyes wide open. She knows exactly what she's getting into and for Nikolai, she's willing to take those steps. The storyline is fantastic with lots of action and sweet moments.
Book 6 NIKOLAI VOLUME 2
Standing ovations for Roxie. Revisiting Nikolai and Vivian was sheer bliss. Lots of questions are answered and many more are left for future tales. Nikolai and Vivian are navigating their new marriage and come to some painful crossroads but their dedication to one another is beautiful. Vivian must let go of her blinders to become Nikolai's true partner in every part of his heart and world. It's painful and sad and wonderful all at the same time. Worth every minute. BRAVO!

Roxie Rivera has a way of giving her fans exactly what they want. I loved this short story. It's a free download on her web site. We get to see inside Nikolai's head on the first anniversary of his marriage to Vivian. Standing in his soon to be born son's nursery he lingers on thoughts of the past and the joyful expectations of the future. His absolute devotion to his wife and son comes through so profoundly. This is a small piece of perfection. Thank you, Roxie!

Everything Roxie's fans could possibly want in this wonderful short story. We get to see the intimate moments of the birth of Nikolai and Vivian's first baby. I loved being able to see into Nikolai's head. His inner thoughts are a rare treat. Absolutely marvelous Thank you so much, Roxie!

Another great installment in this series, I will admit to not having read a lot of mob books but I found this one for me had just the right amount of story, love and mob drama to keep me entertained!!!!
While I wasn't surprised that Nikolai didn't get out in this one, him being the boss and all, there were a couple of other things that I didn't guess! Love that it wasn't all predictable.
Loves seeing and hearing about the previous characters, though if you haven't read the previous books it could be a tad confusing.
Love that Nikolai and Vivian were able to have a happy, though not a conventional ever after!
Really looking forward to the next book and the snippets of Sergei we've had, he is defiantly drool worthy!!

Well I enjoyed the continuation of Nikolai and Vivian's story, it had a few eye roll moments with both of Nikolai and Vivian's stupid decisions but overall I enjoyed it.
As I read her other spin off series like the Connolly Brothers etc in the order of publication I felt we got most of the story from those books and this was a repeat of those incidents from their POV, so it felt a little repetitive. Minor criticisms though.
Loved reading about all the previous character and getting to know the newer ones more. Love Ten and can't wait for his book to come out!!! Loved the scene of all the previous Russian protector men together with their babies etc, it was a nice moment.
Overall an enjoyable addition, so onto the next!

The heart wants what it wants.
I love this mafia romance story. I wish Vivian was a stronger character. She grew up around crime and the mob, yet she appeared at times to be very gullible. Nikolai was is not a good man but he has a heart when it comes to women and children. Vivian and Nikolai's shared past tied them together in a way that no one would guess. Love snuck up on them and they realized too late to do anything about it. Being the boss of the underworld makes living Nikolai's life very difficult. He did not want to bring an innocent like Vivian into his world but the heart wants what it wants. After a world wind romance, of danger, love, kidnapping, fear, murder and a coup, the happy couple brought in new life (Lev).

Absolutely loved this Series. Roxie Rivera's The Protector Series is one of the my top 10 favorite stories of all time. Vee and Nikolai are one of my favorite couples. I have read each book of the series but it was great to read Vee and Nikolai's stories back to back. If you love stories about strong female and male leads than Nikolai is for you. Happy Reading!!!

A complete book worth the time to read it.
I choose this rating because Nikolai and Vivian's story was everything and more than what I was hoping it was going to be, I love this couple and their friends and how protective they are towards each other. I hope Ten gets his own story because I have a feeling it would be a page turner like the rest of the series.

I'm so impressed with these Bratva men. Nikolai is the epitome of harsh and soft. He riles with an iron fist. Until Vivian came into his life, he was cold and relentless. The love of a good woman can change you. Thank you for a great story

While I can say I enjoyed the previous books in the series, it wasn't until this book that I couldn't put it down. I think by the time she wrote this book she really became an author I would recommended. While the other books were good, the writing style, repetitive description, and sentence structure seemed a little more on the novice side, but she really stepped up her game with Nikolai and the books that came after it!

Outstanding
I have read the whole Her Russian Protector Series to date and I absolutely love it. The way everyone's lives intertwine make them all a great read that is hard to put down. You just have to find out what happens next. Outstanding !! I can hardly wait for more of this series.

Awesome Book
I was so impressed with this book I read it in one day. I loved the characters in this book. Nicolai was an amazing character. All the secondary characters I cannot wait for there story especially Boy and Ten.

I loved Nikolai and Vivian. They were a really great couple. She wasn't a big pushover and he wasn't as controlling as some alpha's are. He was very protective and treated her well.
