What happens in Las Vegas in the 1970s doesn't stay there! This rollicking romp through the Vegas underworld involves a philandering radio DJ, suspected of plotting the disappearance of his girlfriend and a huge sum of cash. Jack King works for radio station WCUS (The Cuse) in Syracuse, NY. His dream is to move from the cold, brutal winters of Upstate New York, to the sunshine and fun in Southern California. As luck would have it, Jack is invited to a “celebrity” blackjack tournament in Las Vegas. The winner will get a handsome cash payout. All Jack wants is a fun filled weekend in Vegas, anticipating partying and lots of sex with his stunning girlfriend. But, just before the couple departs, his crime-boss Uncle wants a sit down with the young DJ. Soon a serious dilemma with no shortage of lighthearted moments unfolds. Author Carl Nicita of Bakersfield, California, spent many years as a broadcaster using the name Carl Knight. He worked at several radio and television stations in New York and California. Carl later worked in public safety, retiring in 2015, from the Santa Monica, California Police Department. Carl was born in Syracuse, New York, and recently put pen to paper, completing Booze, Broads and Blackjack — A Deadly Combination. In January 2018 Hectic Films shot a movie version of the story based on the screenplay written by Carl Nicita. Booze, Broads and Blackjack - The Movie is currently in post production status.
