Mass Effect is my all time favorite video game series. So imagine my disappointment when I read a comic by the writer of the last two games to find so much of it that doesn't follow canon. This was a pointless story following one of my favorite characters in the game, and her entire past in this book didn't match up with her history in the game. That and the art was kind of slap dash and sloppy. A must miss. Very disappointed that writers don't respect the canon of the video games they write.

Terrible. Just terrible. As usual with Mass Effect, there's almost no story. It's just Jack killing Cerberus guys and that's it. If you expect some proper Jack's backstory, forget about it. But well, that's just how Mass Effect comics are - you can skip them and you'll miss nothing. Those were always a huge waste of everybody's time. But the worst thing here is the artwork. You know, it's a very sad thing that they want money for something like this. Check out the Deviantart, or Pixiv and you'll find tons of much better works. For free. I'm not kidding, even though artwork is often poor in Mass Effect comics, you can barely call it drawing this time. It feels like the whole pencil part was done in like 30 minutes and it looks more like a series of schoolkid's quick sketches than a real deal. Can't argue with the fact that it's just a 2$ comic, but trust me, it still feels like a robbery. No story, terrible artwork... Avoid at all costs, as long as you're not a Mass Effect fanboy / girl, who's ready to pay just for the title.

It feels like these Foundation's issues just get better and better as the reader goes on and this one has Jack written all over it! How can I not love this when Jack's in it?
