Ah yes, the first Robotech RPG adventure, and it's a dungeon crawl...of sorts.

The premise is that a derelict Zentraedi ship has emerged from the Debris Ring which surrounds the Earth and the players are to investigate it. The players, as a Mecha Squad - or a Veritech Squadron, or a mixture - are to board the ship and solve the mystery. There are floor plans for the Zentraedi ship, as well as room descriptions, etc. If you play RPGs and are familiar with the typical Dungeon Module, then you'll recognize the format immediately. The main difference being that the exploration is being conducted by 30- to 50-foot tall Mecha - which, of course works, because the Zentraedi themselves are of roughly the same stature and so the ship has been built appropriately.

The adventure, overall, is not horrible, and may even be quite fun (I have neither run it as a Game Master or a Player) - somehow, there are even Giant Rats aboard this Zentraedi ship: the ubiquitous bane of every low-level Adventurer throughout the multiverse. However, I feel that where this book really takes off is the Random Encounter tables near the back. There are some very interesting ideas contained within and they are in the open playground that is open space (well, near-Earth space, but close enough). There are even a few encounters between the RDF and the fledgling, but growing EBSIS (the new Soviets) space military.

The artwork is the book is awful, particularly the depiction of the Debris Ring around the Earth, and most of the space scenes in general, but I will forgive that due to the age of the book and its contents.

I would also like to give some props to the attempt to include a Zentraedi alphabet, as the players will encounter Zentraedi signage, monitors, and displays. However, the idea of a Zentraedi language is not developed, as it's just a simple letter replacement cipher with English.
