November 11, 2020It's NaNoWriMo 2020 time! Yay! This is my current NaNo project and I'm super excited about it. It's a gay paranormal romance with lots of action, snark, kissing, and basically some insane ancient spirits who take human hosts and draw power from different emotions. Because I love emotion-based magic. So we have spirits here who embody some emotions, others who embody actions or ideals, etc.
Excerpt:
“Hershey is the Embodiment of sarcasm,” Kaeden confirmed.
I huffed. “Of course the god of sarcasm is a teenage boy. Who else would it be?”
“It used to be some ugly old lady,” Hershey replied honestly. He shrugged. “She dead now.”
“Hershey!” Banner snapped, but his shoulders shook with silent laughter.
Easton McHayle is the semi-famous heir to the McHayle real-estate and tourism empire. Kaeden Briggs is the Embodiment of balance; he protects fragile humans from the spirit world to keep the balance between both. But now a dangerous Embodiment is after Easton, and as he's caught up in immortal mind games, he and Kaeden will be forced to trust and rely on each other in order to figure out what's really going on here...
