Rate this book
Mixing action, drama, and romance, ROBOTECH: THE MACROSS SAGA VOL. 3 continues the classic space opera of Earth's defiant stand against the alien invasion of the malevolent Zentraedi. Realizing that the key to the war lies in the possession of the SDF-1, the otherworldly invaders dedicate greater resources and deadlier tactics in the fight for the massive warship. But while this monumental battle wages on, Rich finds himself conflicted over his personal feelings and patriotic duty as the distance between him and Minmay expands with the arrival of her pacifist cousin, Lynn Kyle.

Part 3 of complete and total awesomeness!

- So, three Zentradi get shrunk down to human size to infiltrate the SDF-1. While trying to blend in with the "micronian" population they steal the wrong clothes and become the three ugliest drag queens in Macross (even by 80's standards).

- Khyron attacks the SDF-1, AGAIN, in violation of orders, AGAIN, and Breetai must intervene, AGAIN!!!

- The SDF-1 makes it back to earth, but since the government decided not to disclose the Zentradi attack but instead pronounced Macross island destroyed in an accident, no one is permitted to return to home. Naturally, there're about 70,000 very happy Macross citizens who are super pleased with politicians and the military.

- Rick gets shot down by Lisa (sort of) and lays in sick bay tripping balls in a comatose dream about everything in our story thus far, from a romantic TBI viewpoint.

- Zentradi ace Miriya is told of a reputedly superior veritech pilot. She seeks to defeat this person, as proof of her skill.
