Doris is in love with Talulah, and there was only one thing standing in the way of them being together - her husband, Hil. So she did the only thing she could in such a situation, and did away with him! But just as quickly, along comes brother Billy. Together, they try to think of how to get rid of him too...although he doesn't seem to want to go either! But love always triumphs in the end, doesn't it?
"Kill Hil" is one of the stories you can find in Angela Peach's short story anthology, "Chill: Come Inside My Head". That anthology is available in the Kindle Unlimited program or can be bought at a bargain price.
"Kill Hil" was my second favorite story in the collection, taking us back into the 1950s exploring the dynamics of a same-sex relationship. Peach showed some skill here in the way she wrote the setting and laying out the characters in such a vivid manner in such a short amount of time.
It also has a gotcha moment that got me thinking long after I completed the story.
