Good amount of detail and a wide range of species covered but is quite UK-centric. I do think it wouldr require some background knowledge of the genetics and ecological context discussed in the book but these are also explained in a somewhat accessible way. Obviously it's not the most up to date data but I liked seeing the origins of some of the current theories in the colour polymorphism research space.
