A fictional account of a real event. Well written and engaging. Dark and foreboding too. A nice touch at the end of the book was a rundown of other global diseases. Especially the Black Death or, Bubonic Plague. Scary to imagine a global Ebola Outbreak. But then why think of that when we’re in the middle of the current scarefest?!

Ian Probert is one of the first authors that I spoke to for SocialBookshelves.com, and so I figured I’d check out some of his work. This one was actually published way back in 1997, and whilst it’s aimed at kids, I actually thought it was a lot of fun.

Loosely speaking, it follows the story of a group of scientists who try to stop an outbreak of Ebola at a research facility.
