If you like local history you'll love this book. Friendship with William Douglas and Mr. Fife; stories of Goose Prairie and Bumping Lake; snow shoe and cross country ski trips into Naches in the dead of winter for supplies; description of local animals and birds. Nelson has a winsome writing style and by the end you feel like you are friends with all the characters of our own Yakima Valley history.
