Teri Riggs was destined to be a writer. As a small girl she didn’t read bedtime stories, she made up her own. Who needed Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs when there were so many great tales bouncing around in her head? When she grew up and became a mother to three little girls, she continued the tradition of making up bedtime stories. On the occasions she chose to tell conventional fairytales, Teri usually gave them a bit of tweaking here and there or added a new ending. Her girls loved it.
After her daughters had the nerve to actually grow up and leave home, Teri discovered she had a passion for writing and jumped right in. It came as no surprise she chose to write mysteries and happily-ever-after’s since that’s the genres she loves to read.
Teri lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband, one of her daughters and two dogs that seem to think they rule the world. And some days Teri thinks maybe they do.

Teri still frequently tells herself stories as she falls asleep. The only difference now is she wakes up the next morning and turns her bedtime stories into books.

I'd read this author's work before but was unimpressed by it, so I went into this one hoping it would be better. It was, a bit, but it also wasn't. Granted, it was longer than the previous book I read, but it was just as unbelievable as that first book. I really couldn't believe that the man that hurt True would just get away with it like it was described. There were too many witnesses to her report to have it just 'go away' like the author said it did. I didn't like Nick at first, but his willingness to defend True had him growing on me. There also wasn't really much of a romance, more like they just fell into old patterns. The second and third attacks on True felt forced, fake, and unrealistic, which could be perceived as offensive to rape survivors. All things considered, it is more of a 2.5 star read, but ultimately forgettable.

A touching fast paced read

Well-written and fast paced, this a great second chance romance with a few surprise twists. Riggs brings us a tale that helps you believe in the power of true love.

After having been assaulted by her last boss, True finds herself working for an old lover with whom she had parted ways seven years ago. It's a sweet story and a fun read, but somehow I wasn't quite convinced by the character of True herself. She seems to swing, a bit too easily, from victim to vixen
