When speed and seduction combine, sparks are sure to fly.

Some girls enjoy makeup, low-cut dresses, and bedding famous men. Not me. I’m happiest in my oily overalls, with my hands in an engine, chatting with the guys on my team about aerodynamics and wing position.

So when infamous Formula One champion, Dean Cudditch, comes into my life, I’m content to leave him to his lothario ways. Dean seems on top of the world when draped with adoring female fans, and I refuse to be another of the champ’s conquests.

However, as I get to know the real Dean Cudditch, I begin to see a softer side to him that makes him all the sexier. My resolve crumbles when he admits that it’s my mechanical mind and engineering know-how that turn him on. Before I know it, I’m racing down the fast lane of seduction, passion, and lust. One thing is for when Dean is behind the wheel, it’s going to be one hot ride.

This story was hot from the first page and didn't stop. I love Lily Harlem's stories of erotic romance and this one was no exception. The snark. The sexy...bring it on cause this book is smoking.

Where do I start? I have been looking forward to reading this book since Lily said she was writing it. Next to reading I love Motorsports!

Frankie is a woman working in a highly male dominated sport - Formula One. Signed by a top team she has to prove her worth to her team and the drivers. Frankie is working with Dean Cudditch, multi world champion, playboy party animal and drop dead gorgeous. Their first meeting is not good but the sparks between the two fly off the page from the very start!

Lily's gets the tensions of F1 just right, the story flows along nicely. The relationship between Dean & Frankie develops quickly, but in a professional sport like F1 so does life. It is what happens when you live your life in the fast lane. I was delighted to see a nice wee epilogue which ties up their story perfctly.

I do like when Lily's writes sports related books - she can get the adrenaline pumping with her words. I devoured this book in a day, but already want to re-read it.

I really, really, really loved this book - and if I were able to I would give Accelerated Passion more than the 5 stars available.

Formula One isn't my thing, but I do enjoy Lily Harlem's books, so I was more than happy to read Accelerated Passion. I'm really glad I did, too. Yes, the book is centred on F1, but it's not so involved or detailed that you'd gloss over it if you weren't interested. It's an integral part of the story, but there's so much more going on. Like sparks, like hot sex, like romance.

This love story between F1 star Dean Cudditch and his new female mechanic, Frankie, is amazing. I don't want to say too much and give the plot away, but it felt very real - despite being about worlds most of us can only dream about. The way the characters react around each other and the chemistry between them is incredibly well done. I liked the characters very much, too, and found myself rooting for them throughout.

Overall, this is a fun, sexy, intriguing story with plenty of sparks and super-hot sex scenes. You definitely don't need to be into Formula One to read this - just erotic romance with lashings of heat.

Wow. Totally drawn in with this book. Couldn't and didn't put it down and get me gripped. The storyline is absolutely fantastic and the romance just sweeps you off your feet and sigh with longing.

We meet Frankie who has just joined the Mclaren F1 mechanical team and Dean the super hot playboy racer who isn't impressed Frankie is a she. Needless to say, sparks fly and all isn't as appears to be. Can a romance bloom in the pits or are they heading for disaster? At one point in the book, my heart stopped and emotions were flying around me. This book is different to most of the books I've read by Lily. Don't get me wrong, there is some sexy hot scenes but not as juicy as is her norm. If you are a fan of Lily or if your not, this is a great read

Fans of sports-themed romances will be drawn to the sensual thrill ride on and off the track in this fast-paced tale of a playboy tired of playing the field and the strong-willed woman wanting to make her mark in a man's world. From start to finish Ms. Harlem has crafted a compelling story that keeps you on the edge of your seat in a story full of erotic encounters and very little angst.

Frankie's always been a tomboy, more interested in playing with cars than dolls. It's led her to a career as a top mechanic in the world of Formula One racing. It's a struggle to be taken seriously in this world but her new team is a supportive bunch that treats her more like a sister. Her biggest fears though revolve around her feelings for champion driver Dean who she's always thought of as a player but through their interactions she starts seeing him in a different light. With their connection deepening her fears over being taken seriously have her holding back, much to my frustration. But when an accident befalls Dean will it be too late to admit the truth or will their relationship end before its begun? I enjoyed Frankie for the most part as she was confident when it came to her career. She knew everything about cars and wasn't afraid to talk about them. When it came to her looks and her sex appeal though she was a bit less confident as she constantly measured herself against the Barbie dolls Dean usually spent time with. She wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted nor would she deny the needs she had when it came to sex. She was an equal when it came to her and Dean's erotic encounters which made them all the hotter.

Until recently Dean was content being the playboy, but it's gotten a bit stale with the women starting to all look the same. He's wanting a challenge and meeting Frankie presents him with the biggest challenge of all. Their initial meeting shows him to be arrogant but the more time they spend together the closer they become. He lets her see the real him, the man behind the playboy persona and the man with a precious secret that he lets her in on. He's proud to have her as his girlfriend and isn't happy keeping their relationship secret which made him all the more likable. When given the opportunity he's more than happy to shout it from the rooftops that she's his. Dean's a commanding character, brash at the start but showing a charming and sweet side as their relationship progresses. Theirs is a relationship that progresses quickly but feels believable in the fast-paced world they live in.

Dean and Frankie's connection crackles from the moment they meet. The sexual tension between them is palpable with their first encounter combustible. As their relationship deepens the encounters become hotter and more erotic, especially one involving his race car. Along with these two larger than life main characters comes a small cast of secondary characters, mostly Frankie's fellow mechanics, that reflect a brotherly vibe. I was also intrigued by fellow driver Farrah who I'd love to see get his own story if more stories are told. My only quibble involves Enrique and his feelings for Frankie that were left hanging. On a whole though this was a super sexy and exhilarating thrill ride that vividly depicted all the ins and outs of the racing world. Ms. Harlem's storytelling pulled you in to this exciting world and kept you on the edge of your seat and I hope it's a world we revisit soon.

Accelerated Passion is classic Lily Harlem - hot, sexy, romantic and with great attention to detail for the Formula One sport.
Many, many years ago, I was invited to attend a day at the Melbourne Grand Prix Formula One races with a corporate vendor. My colleague and I got the royal treatment - chauffeured car pick up, corporate box, catered lunch and a tour of the pit of the Jordan-Peugeot team. With the tour of the pit, I got to see all their computer equipment that ran the machines and systems, the giant tyres and even got to hold the steering wheel of the car that Schumacher was driving. This story brought back all the memories and the memories made the book come alive for me. Ms Harlem did a fantastic job describing the inner workings of the team and the sport. While the story was hot and sexy, it was the mechanics of the sport she described which fascinated me and held my attention the most.
Even with my fascination of the sport, it's hard to ignore Dean Cudditch, World Champion Formula One race car driver. He's captivating and dominating, and there's more to him than meets the eye. He and Frankie start off on the wrong foot with her being a woman and him being an arrogant a** but it doesn't take long for her to thaw towards him and for us to learn that he's a caring and loving man, who is passionate about his sport and his drive to win. He may have been into fast cars and fast women in the past - he still loves his fast cars, but he's matured and grown up from the reckless youth that earned him the reputation as a player.
I had a hard time warming up to Frankie in the beginning because she was so defensive about her being a woman in a man's world, and she was so prejudiced against Dean, but I also learned she's great with her team, dedicated to her job and passionate about creating a winning team for Dean.
It was wonderful seeing Frankie and Dean come together after their rocky start, particularly the lovely afternoon they had with Henri (you'll have to read to find out who he is!) which showed what an awesome couple they were together.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I hope Ms Harlem decides to write more sport romances because she really brings the sport to life for me.

This is just as the name suggests - fast-paced, action packed and hot as hell!
Dean Cudditch is an infamous Formula One champion who works hard and plays even harder. Frankie works in the male orientated world of Formula One and over the years, has successfully forged herself a name as being a class A mechanic working with many of the greats. Her love of the sport makes her job her life and having to constantly prove her worth means that she does that job well! When she begins working with Dean, it seems that she once again has to prove herself worthy of her role, whilst at the same time trying to convince herself that this gorgeous hunk is purely off limits. Things take off pretty quickly and Frankie prepares herself for the ride of her life!

I absolutely flippin loved this book! Despite not being a huge formula one fan, Lily not only helped me understand a bit about the sport, but made me really join in with all the excitement both on and off the track. Her attention to detail is second to none and the relationship between racing driver and mechanic certainly made my eyes pop! There's no holding back here and Lily explores every avenue with this heart warming tale of triumph, secrets, love and lust.
A little something for everyone and at the very heart, a good old fashioned romance ......go grab your copy now!!

>Book Review – Accelerated Passion

>This is a standalone book with an HEA. Though mostly a romance, this story has a lot of Formula One racing in it and will appeal to the adrenaline junkies. Dean is a popular and talented playboy driver. Frankie is an unexpected head mechanic on his team. Frankie doesn’t like the lifestyle Dean portrays, not knowing it isn’t the lifestyle he actually leads. Dean takes a while to accept Frankie’s talents, but soon her expertise is obvious.

>Their relationship literally happens overnight, but the tension leading up to it is hot. Another member of the crew is attracted to Frankie, which causes the Alpha to come out in Dean. Dean’s son, Henri, shows Dean’s softer side.

>The romance is hot and the racing sequences are exciting. I would have liked to see the jealousy from Henri’s mom towards Frankie. This jealousy was hinted at in the hospital scene. One glaring error kept this book from getting a perfect rating. When Frankie is going into Dean’s hospital room with Henri, the book says it is Bridgette going into the room. This is a big confusing error. It is Frankie going in to the hospital room. Errors such as that pull me out of the story and take away from the story.

>I am a reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock. This story is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 fangs.

This is the first book by Ms Harlem I've read and I must say, I was left breathless at times. What a different type of story, F1 racing, hot cars, and an even hotter driver. This author can have you sighing one moment and then nearly panting from the passion in the story the next. Dean and Frankie's story is classic romance, but throw in F1 race cars and there is a whole different spin (no pun intended) on the expected.

Now after reading this book by Ms Harlem, I've found myself wanting to delve into more of her work...any reader will not be disappointed by this book. Nor I expect her others.

As a lover of Formula 1, I couldn't wait to read this. Just like watching the sport, this book got my heart pounding and my stomach churning with excitement.
Frankie is a high-flying mechanic who moves to a new team, wanting to prove she is the best in her new all-male surroundings. Enter Dean Cudditch, world class driver and by all accounts, world class playboy. Sparks fly immediately but can Frankie keep her head in the game and her desires under wraps or is her new job going to excess all her expectations on and off the track?
A first rate, sexy story that I will savour over and over again.
