Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.

I had such high hopes for this book. A 6´6 Russian Daddy Dom, well that be the stuff of fantasy, my fantasies in any case.

description

Alas I was left feeling underwhelmed. What could have be a super hot interesting story, was lukewarm at best. Two detectives, partners, go undercover to catch the person selling some new date rape drug called "PLEASE DADDY" Oh course both have "daddy" issues, though Salt seemed to have a better handle on his then Andie did. Salt has to play "Papa" whilst Andi plays "Mishka"

If that scenario doesn't scream HOLY HELL HOT, I don't know what does. Alas this book is tame, and dare I say, it was boring. To say it was a slow burn would be an understatement. Don't even get me started on how totally underwhelming the whole "undercover operation" ended.

While I adored Salt, with all his sexy Russian accent, Andi was really an awful heroine. I cut her some slack at the beginning of the book because for people outside the lifestyle the whole "daddy/little" dynamic is hard to wrap your mind around. The problem was, she just never got off her judgey high horse. Even when people took the time to try and explain to her about the lifestyle so she could do her job properly, she was always tossing out the "OMG THAT'S SICK" or "OMG THATS PERVERTED" She put the undercover operation in jeopardy SO many times with her stupid bratty behavior, that I had a hard time believing she was even a detective, or a very good one at least. I had an even harder time believing she suddenly at the end wanted the whole "Papa" thing.

description

This was really a disappointment for me. I wanted more sex (they FINALLY actually get it on at the very end of the book), I wanted more action on the undercover front. I wanted someone to shoot Andi in the head and find Salt, delicious Salt, a real woman, not an annoying repressed bitch!!

Absolutely ridiculous.

I had such high hopes. Like sky high, I love age play and daddy kink and this seemed like a great setup. Ever since reading Special Forces I have had a major kink for Russian accents, Vadim being the pinnacle of sex for me. I was hoping Salt would be a new excellent sex god, and while I liked Salt well enough he did not save this book from the judgy holy er than thou heroin Andi.

Andi starts off seeming pretty kick ass, you will be told she is kick ass non stop lest you forget that she is disliked by her fellow police for being too hardass and not taking any shit. I thought "Cool, strong women are missing in kink reads", can't wait to read this.

No, NO NOPE Andi is a bitch, and I don't use that word lightly she is so rude to anyone in the kink community. Calling everyone perverts. Why would the author do this!? Obviously someone who picks this up is into kink, so having the MC CONSTANTLY, call age play "disgusting, pedophelic, and perverse" at any and every instance was beyond grating on my nerves. I assumed that Andi would get over this since it's a kink book but for the vast majority she just calls everyone pervs and even in her inner monologue she's disgusting by what she's seeing.

Kink works for me because I love reading about how INTO the kink a particular MC is. I honestly don't care too much what the kink is, as long as the MC is really into it, that's a turn on. But since Andi is literally grossed out the whole time this did not work.

What's so disappointing is that this could have worked and been a 4 star read but Andi was too adverse to the whole idea. Besides the fact that Andi personally hates the whole age play thing she blatantly and openly tells people at an exclusive club she thinks it's weird and wrong, WHILE UNDERCOVER AS A PRACTITIONER. Wtf is wrong with this you ask? Personally I think it's the worst undercover job ever and ineptitude particularly in legal (don't get me started about the "contract" in this) or police work is a major no no for me.

Additionally, Andi is just clearly not a good actor or even remotely good at this assignment, seriously don't put this girl on undercover cases. The sex was meh, and took way way way to long to actually happen in an erotica book, so that didn't save this book from the train wreck of Andi. I wanted to love her and this book, I could have loved her if she wasn't so judgmental and in denial of everything. But that's not this book.

This review contains very minor spoilers and some personal insights about my own age-play.

If you are curious about age-play or how an age-play relationship functions, then this book is a perfect entry point. Nothing is done to the extreme, but you get an inside look into how an age-play relationship works through the eyes of a couple who are new to the dynamics of age-play. It is a story about a male and a female police detective who are thrust into acting like an age-play couple in order to infiltrate an age-play resort (of sorts). Their mission is to bust an illicit drug outfit that is operating at the facility. Mind you it isn't your typical illegal narcotics involved, but a drug that turns women into an extreme state of arousal and has them begging for sex. So where do I get me some? But I digress.

The story is pretty predictable, but that's okay. As you would suspect, the couple is "forced" to be in an age-play relationship as part of their undercover operation and of course fall for each other in the process. There are many hot things the couple must do to each other in order to fit in with the other practicing age-play couples. The dynamic between the H/h works well. There is a very slow build to their relationship and at times I wished it would move quicker. Show me the sex! However, if you are patient, the couple finally does the dirty deed and the journey is quite enjoyable.

My only real complaint and the reason I couldn't rate this book higher, is the inner dialog that is constantly playing in our heroine's head. "...I can't have sex with my police partner because that would be unethical, but I want to have sex with my partner..." That theme is repeated ad nauseam. The other theme that gets repeated is "...I can't behave like a "Little" but I enjoy letting go..." Both of those themes add to the story, but if you read this book you will see that they are over done.

So over all it is a good book with some very sexy moments that had me reaching for my spouse in bed. I liked the care shown by the Papa/lead towards his baby-girl/partner. There was not an inappropriate feel to their relationship. There were so many tender moments between the H/h and contained enough heat that I can recommend this book to those wanting a hot, romantic age-play story.

On a more personal level, this story is my story in many respects. My Hubby brought age-play into our marriage and I was not sold on it originally, thinking that couples who engaged in age-play must have a screw loose. However, this book does a nice job of showing readers how intimate and caring an age-play relationship can be. Like the h in the story, I had to be won-over to get in touch with my "little" side and totally let go. I know that many women won't understand the whole age-play thing, but for me it is wonderful! Age-play doesn't consume us but when we "play" it allows me to experience my submissive side to the fullest. It also makes me feel loved and cherished. And yes, a good spanking has its benefits too... :D

Age play is a newer subject for me. I have read a few short, easy stories but this one wasn't like that. We had fully developed characters with flaws and "issues" that hit you in the heart. Our H is Viktor Saltanov (Salt/Papa) and our h is Andi Sugarbaker (Mishka).

Andi and Salt are partners in Vice. Andi is petite and could pass for childlike. Salt is a 6’5 beast of a man from Mother Russia. Andi has a tendency of not getting along with her partners at Vice until Salt was paired with her over 3 years ago. At first, she had a hard time with him also. He was always opening doors for her and ordering her food. For a self reliant, strong woman, you can imagine this didn't go over well for Andi. When she discussed it with Salt, he explain it was the Russian way and they fell into an easy partnership.

Andi and Salt are chosen to go undercover to a place simply called The Institute to find a new date rape drug that could have deadly consequences called Please Daddy, or Please for short. The Institute is an age play resort where there are Bigs/Daddies and Little/Babygirls. At first, Andi is adamantly against it and pushes back wherever she can. Age play feels perverted and sick to her. Andi decides to call Salt Papa since she called her own father Daddy and he abandoned her as a child. Salt calls Andi Mishka, it means little mouse. After a while at the Institute, Andi and Salt begin to fall into their roles as Papa and Mishka but it leads Andi to suppressed memories and a past she doesn't want to remember. At the same time, Salt's past is leading him to care for Andi the way he does. How do these two get through The Institute to deal with Please and can they still remain partners at the end? You will have to read it to find out.

Around Chapter 6, I wasn't sure about this book, but I wanted to keep with it as I love Evangeline's books. I swear I had a dream about Evangeline last night because I was reading this book 😂

I enjoyed it, but I didn't like it as much as the Kindred books. This book definitely won't be for everyone as it heavily features age play. At first, the hero and heroine find the concept of age play weird and gross, but when they investigate the Institute, an age-play resort, looking for a dangerous drug that makes someone need sex or else they die, they get into the kink they're pretending they're into.

I thought it would be a good plot twist if.

I think it would be fun/funny to call my lover, especially since he's 7 years older than me, "Daddy" and sit on his lap and act like a little girl, but I would only want to do that for a day, not often.

I felt like the case was solved/the ending wrapped up a little too neatly.

This is great read if you want something bit different. Age play? Didn't know about that! But if it's anything like described in this book, best one word description would be: kinky, two words: steaming hot.

I had to reduce one star for one reason only: the book is unrealized potential. I was totally sucked into the story, loved the characters and their spiciness (Salt and Sugar:), and just when the temperature reached molten lava levels, it ended, almost abrubtly. This way, it's good, short and sweet, but I just wanted more. Which is kind of compliment to the author.

Contrary to the quasi series status, this isn't series and there isn't a real sequel. Some authors would stretch this into saga at least thousand pages long. The premises were so promising. Me? Hell, I would capture those two into that institute for at least three 400 pages long books to age play under the influence of Please (aphrodisiac drug in the story) to oblivion and back and only then, MAYBE, let them out loose limbed and cross eyed from all that fucking to try to find their place in outside world again, failing misserably of course.

I would call that sequel series... I don't know, maybe Cabby Issues or something. Because they're so toasted from the drug and age playing with each other they're so unable to think straight they can't even make conversation with a cabby.

Time to read something bit more regular, it seems.

I read a lot of books in the BDSM genre and those explore a wide variety of kinks, but, until now, I'd never really found an Age Play book that I could buy into. This book changed that!

The story of Salt (Papa) and Andi (mishka) started out feeling not all that unusual - two law enforcement agents go undercover in a kink establishment to ferret out the bad guys and find themselves exploring the kink in a way that spills over into their relationship. This book, though, turned out to be much more.

What differentiated this book from the other Age Play books I've read is the depth of the character development, as well as the attention paid to both part of the characters' relationship - their roles as Papa and mishka as well as their roles as Salt and Andi. Andi's confusion as she feels herself drawn to her role as mishka felt authentic to me, and the bumps in the road of their relationship felt authentic rather than contrived.

If you are looking for an Age Play book that's a cut above the rest, I'd give this one a try. Hopefully, you'll find it to be erotic, romantic, and amusing, just as I did!

I've recently reread this one and changed it from a 4 to a 5 star rating. Why?

I love stories about strong women and (even) stronger men. About couples madly in love. And about BDSM. However this was the first book about age-play I've read. Since December 2016 I've read more about age-play. While it isn't my scene, I am starting to understand and appreciate the dynamics more and more.

So the first time I was having a little bit of trouble with the dynamics. The second time this uneasiness was not present. For me it made it posible to enjoy the journey and exploration of Andi and Salt.

I love the Brides of Kindred series that Evangeline Anderson writes so I thought I'd try this new one of hers. I only managed to finish it because I was stubborn.

The plot just felt forced. The way the characters connected felt forced. Was there chemistry between them, definitely. It just wasn't enough for this type of story.

The theme / kink of the book is definitely well researched, in my opinion. I have no issues with that. But it feels like the idea of writing a story with this particular kink overrode the wanting to write a decent story. I mean by the time the characters FINALLY had sex in the last chapter of the book, the pet names for Andi were so inconsistent that it lost a lot of the heat. Salt always called her mishka or Andi, suddenly he's calling her Babygirl, darling and other things. And it changes from one sentence to the next.

I think I'll stick with the paranormal and alien stories Ms. Anderson writes from now on. I hate that this was a miss for me but it just didn't work. Especially not when there were 4 editing errors on the FIRST page in ONE paragraph. It's like the editor didn't even care for it either or even try.

Salt is Hot. A quiet commanding man. Where as, Andi has some issues. I understand her need for self reliance but, at times she ventures into reckless brattiness which endangers the undercover work the team is on. If you know everything is being filmed would you not be extra careful about every aspect of your mission?! I feel that Andi was constantly putting the team in danger with her unfettered attitude and for being a professional that seems to me, to be unacceptable. Did I mention Salt is a huge Russian, quiet & intense ....the guy is Hot! ~swoon~ ;)

YES to everything about this book!
Andi struggles when she finds she just might have a kink. One that conflicts greatly with her vanilla psyche's judgements and morals.
Salt also has his own obstacles to overcome, but his true feelings for Andi make caring for his Mishka much more agreeable and easy to accept.
The journey to acceptance was full of character growth and kink, and was so very fun to follow.

Story/Plot: 1.5/2 stars
Two partners go undercover to bust the creators of a drug and fall in love in the process. Sounds familiar and I like the undercover trope. But what makes this book different is the additional layer the story adds: the place these partners are going undercover is a resort for people interested in Age Play. Uh, what? This isn't the type of story I would have ever expected myself to read, yet I completely am not surprised that this is a book written by Evangeline Anderson. This has her style written all over it!

The romance plot between Andi and Salt was there and was well written. I noted their bond, I noted their darkest moment, I noted the swoon-worthy and heartfelt moment at the end. And the end of their time at the Institute was unexpected in comparison with Anderson's other series and novels. A pattern I've noted in Anderson's Brides of the Kindred series or Kindred Tales series, for instance, is that if a woman character was in a similar position as Andi, more often than not the two love interests would have sex. I'm not sure how I feel about those scenes with "he doesn't want to screw her but they're under some control or influence or lust so they're not happy that they have to do it yet they're gonna do it anyways." I didn't get that in this book! They have sex at the end end (of course) but not in that moment at the end of the Institute, and I liked that choice.

The only thing that felt off for me in the story was the detective/undercover plotline. I understand that the external motivation wasn't the focus of the story and that it mainly came up in Act 1 and Act 3. I just felt like it wasn't justifiable to only have those brief moments in Act 2 so that when it's revealed who the antagonists are, there's more of a foundation. I don't claim there wasn't any reminder or indication of the case. There was some. I just wonder if we needed a little more than the casual reminder that they need to scoop the place and only do it once.

Characters: 2/2 stars
Detective Andi Sugarbaker: she is debatable. I personally liked her character (her internal thoughts, however, are a different topic I will discuss under "writing"). Before I decided to pick up and read the book (this was years before I decided to purchase the book), I was Andi. Like her, I didn't know much about the Age Play kink community. Because of my ignorance, I passed similar judgement as Andi had. So to read Andi's reaction to the environment around her, to me, was believable. What was also believable for me was her character development. At the end, she didn't claim to be 100% accepting of her kink. There is some doubt and hesitation--to be expected considering her starting point. But she still is more open than she was at the start of the book.

I gave characters 2 stars because I really loved some of the additional minor characters, namely two: Professor Stevens and Dr. Lucy Newhouse. I felt they were essential not only for Andi but for the readers as well. In Andi's case, she needed experts to explain to her what the Age Play community was like and I'm glad that Anderson decided to write characters who could assume that more expert role on the community to educate Andi. And by educating Andi, these characters educated me. So I'm appreciative for this.

Writing: 1.5/2 stars
I've been reading other reviews and a pattern I've seen is about Andi's character and about the constant judgement from her internal thoughts. And I would have to agree in some cases. No, I don't agree that Andi wouldn't have these conflicting internal thoughts. She's so new to the kink and she has been shown to be--what I will call--a strong yet narrow-minded feminist in respect to the Age Play. So yes, she would have this inward battle. But what I do agree with some of the reviews is the frequency at which we read these internal battles. I will applaud Anderson for making each internal battle slightly different to reflect whatever new information in the story. However, I was not a fan, as many others, with the constant battle that eventually became redundant.

I didn't take off too many stars here because I am a fan of Anderson's writing. While there was still some smaller editorial errors, they didn't hinder my reading. The one aspect of Anderson's writing that I love is the detail and care at which she writes her scenes. I've read many, too many, books in which the intimate and steamy scenes are two, maybe three, pages long. With Anderson's work, she dedicates a whole chapter to the erotics. That length of juicy details is a skill worth commending.

Experience: 2/2 stars
Despite the points that I took away stars, I really enjoyed this book. It was hot (and not to the touch) and always intriguing. I devoured the first 100 pages the first day I bought the book and had to stop while I was reading only because this book made me reflect. I listened to the audiobook version as well and the performer did an incredible job with Salt's accent and all the men's voices

Aftermath: 2/2 stars
This book has given me a lot to think about: feminism, Age play/kink community, writing the other. When I first identified as a feminist, I had believed that women had to be these strong, independent beings who... well basically to save me time... was basically an Andi. But this book made me expand my consideration of what it means to be a feminist, specifically in regards to the kink community. The book has helped me understand that you can be both a feminist and enjoy M/s, Big/little, Daddy/Babygirl or any other kink that relates to powerplay. I am learning that you can play with the lines of the real world and the bedroom.

I don't intend to make this book seem like this is the book to give you all the answers about Age Play and to speak for experiences of people who are interested in Age Play. No. I read this book as one possible narrative that can relate to the kink community but might not relate to everyone. I don't intend to make this book to seem representative of the Age Play community, and I don't think Anderson intended for that either. I do argue that this book can be a good introduction, for lack of better words. If you are interested in learning more, I definitely recommend looking into more research!

As a writer myself, I have been grappling with this question of writing other identities than one's own. I'm not sure what Anderson's involvement is with Age Play specifically and I'm not sure what her connections are to Russia. But I really took the methods of writing these identities to heart. Anderson didn't assume authority over these communities and identities in creating a main character. Rather she wrote about a main character who wasn't knowledgeable about both Age Play and Russian culture and Anderson instead used Andi's inexperience as a point of entry to include research into the own book. Andi never knows everything, but she is exposed to different information to learn. I admire that very much in this book and I hope that it will inspire me to think about ways I can use research in my own writing when writing a different identity.

Overall: 9/10 stars (or in Goodreads terms, 4.5/5 stars)

I received this for an honest review. I have read several from this author and she always does such a great job. Some will looking at this will probably judge the book by the title. First let me start off by saying this is a fetish book and it is not what you might think. It is about two undercover detectives who have had a thing for each other and need to go undercover to help stop a drug dealer. So happens the people responsible for the new date rape drug run a fetish club that is for people into age play.

I loved Sugar and Salt. Well if you want their full name it is Antoinette Josephine Sugarbaker and Viktor Petrovich Saltanov. I loved how Salt wanted to take care of Sugar. He already had this protective nature about him. Always wanted to care for her. Sugar marked it off as Russian custom since Salt was from Russia.

I can only imagine the looks on both detectives face when they were told of the undercover case and the details it would entail. Finding out their role play would be daddy and his little girl. They will both find themselves in situations they do not feel comfortable being in and doing things they do not wish to do. Hidden emotions, past traumas will surface, and confused feelings will come surfacing up in both detectives before this mission is over.

I found it funny that Sugar had problems keeping her temper at bay and I also found it funny that they could not agree upon the age dress that Sugar was suppose to be playing. Sugar wanted to dressed as a teenager in a naughty school girl outfit and Salt wanted to put her in little frilly dresses at a age a little girl would want to be held and taken care of by her father. It was funny reading about these two interaction.

It is not long before the two of them find themselves in some serious trouble. Sugar is in a life and death situation and Salt must do what he can to protect her. What happens next could destroy their friendship and their partnership. Will Salt and Sugar ever recover everything them mush endure?

The Institute: Daddy Issues

I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

I read all sorts of romance stories and because of this I have read my fair share with age play themes. I find it is a very hard theme to write about. I like when there is some sexual themes involved and not just a story about a man giving a “baby” a diaper change or a bottle. I understand the love and comfort that a “daddy”figure can give his partner and think it takes a great author to portray this without going too far the other way. I also believe that Evangeline Anderson is one of those great authors.

I have been following her for awhile and reading all of her stories but this is outside the box for her writing style. I was interested to see her take on the theme. She did not disappoint me.

Detective Andi Sugarbaker and her partner Viktor Saltanov find themselves undercover at “The Institute”, a place where all couples are practicing some type of age play. The story line is very well thought out and we can really connect with the characters as they find themselves drawn more and more into this lifestyle. Andi does struggle as she tries to embrace the feelings that are coming out but at the same time assert her independence and strength as the adult she truly is. Viktor is a big bear of a man who easily falls into the protector role, but physically and mentally.

This story is about more than just the age play theme, it really goes after and explores the emotions of both characters and why they are enjoying the play. All sex scenes are well done and will truly make the reader hot and bothered. As with all of Evangeline Anderson's stories this one is truly about the journey that Andi and Viktor take and nothing is rushed or forced. The background characters are well fleshed out and easy to hate! We see true character development throughout the story and I am hoping for a happy ending for them, can't hint because that would just be mean. Read this story, it was wonderful. A true 5/5

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say that I went into this book expecting to not enjoy it. While I have read many books with BDSM themes Age Play was something that seems dirty (and not in a good way) after reading up on it I was intrigued but still skeptical...I was pleasantly surprised with this book.

Daddy Issues tells the story of two stories where both characters have daddy issues (haha I see what you did there). Detective Sugarbaker suffers from typical abandonment issues from both her father that physically abandoned her and her alcoholic mother that checked out emotionally way before her father left. Her life has been a classic you have no one but yourself. Her journey as a "Little" was one filled with pain both physically and emotionally. She finds herself embracing a lifestyle that previously she would have found repugnant.

Detective Saltanov is a man of few words. A natural protector as having survived the actions of his abusive father. From day one he has wanted nothing more than to love and protect his partner and falls into the role of "Papa" for his "mishka" easily. He finds healing from his past by protecting and loving his partner.

Evangeline Anderson has the ability to spin an amazing story and Daddy Issues is no exception. She takes her readers into a world that few would dare to tread and makes you see that no matter how we choose to show the love we have we all want the same thing. We all want to be naked (metaphorically) in front of our partners and trust that they will still love and care for us. This story clearly shows this.

Thank you Evangeline.

This is the first age play book I have read and Evangeline Anderson has written the perfect story to introduce this type of relationship/sexual play.
Throughout the book there are many explanations of, details anout and the psychology behind age play that I received an in depth education woven into an exciting , Mind blowing story.

Salt is a Russian born police detective who has been the partner to Andi a tough take no prisoners female detective. Their working partnership has been a very good one, they work extremely well together and Salt's large hunky build, quiet yet protective nature.complement Andi's small stature but big personality. Over the three years they have been partners the two have become close friends as well, (with perhaps some underlying attraction between them).

Salt and Andi are sent on an assignment to investigate a club that is all about little girl/daddy sex play. The police believe the club is making and distributing a strong date rape like aphrodisiac drug to the females in the program.

At first I was a bit taken back about this whole subject but after learning in detail about Andi and Salts's backgrounds, histories, past traumas and psychological issues I had a greater understanding of why they totally fit this lifestyle and how good it was for them. This was a great eye opening experience , an awesome story that was sexy, hot, exciting, emotional and a very enjoyable read.

There is a wonderful preview of the next Kindred Brides book Swirched, that looks to be an exciting and

Andi and Salt have a good working relationship but this dynamic changes when they go undercover.

Andi is shocked, to say the least at what she is expected to do; Salt not so much!

I have read many age play stories but none I have seen have been written so interestingly or delve so deeply into the background of both main characters.

If one hadn’t read an ageplay story before this would be an excellent way to learn about the subject whilst enjoying a really good tale.

I love that Evangeline gives us so much information on both Andi and Salt but that it is revealed slowly, over the course of the story in order to keep us guessing.

The sex scenes are, of course, off the chart and beautifully constructed.

This is Evangeline’s first age play story but I’m hoping it won’t be her last.

I am looking forward to reading more of Andi and Salt. I’m also looking forward to Switched. It’s hard to believe that when Evangeline started her Brides of Kindred series she only intended it to be three books long! Thank goodness for her amazing imagination.

I was given the book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

ARC from author for honest review.
Another amazing story from EA! I’m beginning to discover that no matter what genre EA writes, she will do an absolutely amazing job. This is a tastefully done kink story where two detectives go undercover to try to determine where a new drug is being made and distributed. But in order to find this new drug, Please, Andi and Salt have to go to The Institute, a place where it will bring up issues from the past that may harm the investigation. As Andi and Salt play into their roles of Mishka and Papa, they not only discover who and where Please is being made but also that they cant live without the roles that they have been playing with each other. Are they going to be able to let their walls down long enough to let the other one know what they truly need in this relationship if they choose to follow it?
Pick up this book to read the kinky story of Papa and Mishka, you wont regret it!

I have read a lot of age play erotica and I consider most to be junk. The books can be titillating and fun or sometimes dark and edgy but the one characteristic this genre repeatedly shares seems to be poor writing.
When I saw that one of my favorite authors was writing an age play novel I couldn't have been more excited to read it. I was hoping for the rare treat of reading a well thought out plot, fully formed characters, and a well timed story arc.
Evangeline Anderson delivered a romantic, engaging and sexy tale. I loved the way the relationship developed between the main characters. There was plenty of spice to heat up the reader along the way. I found myself completely immersed in the experience. Well done Evangeline!!!

When a new dangerous rape drug begins to hit the streets Sugarbaker a petite 5'1 tough as nails cop and her huge Russian partner, Salt go undercover in a fetish den that's suspected to be housing the drug suppliers. While there Sugar has to play as a little girl and salt as her "Big" Papa. Due to the nature of the fetish den both Sugarbaker and Salt are forced to face their childhood traumas and learn how to heal from their past scars. Through this time of healing and discovery Sugar and Salt begin to also come forward with their own true feelings for another and fears of how this could effect their partnership are fleshed out. Plenty of kink, suspense and naughty bits to keep you wide awake throughout the night. Once again this author does not disappoint!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This is a stand alone book with a HFN/HEA ending. I loved the characters and the story. Detective Andi Sugarbaker and her partner Viktor Saltanov take you on a wonderful adventure of Age Play and suspense. Andi pulls you into her live and you feel like you are there with her through it all. Salt is an awesome partner and guy, just what Andi needs in her life. I recommend this book to all lovers of alternate lifestyle reads. This is not your everyday love story but by the end of the book you feel like you have lived it with them. Excellent book!

I was excited to read this book because the subject matter wasn't something that I knew a lot about but I love everything that Evangeline Anderson has written and I wasn't disappointed!
It was a fresh, new story that I was fascinated with from the start.
A must read!! You will be totally drawn in to the story of Andi and Salt. The chemistry is off the charts but is also sweet and romantic with a big dose of kink!

Picked this book on a whim after my last, tearful read. It's been a while since I last read a book with Age-Play theme so I was really excited about reading this one.

Not gonna lie, the whole undercover thing really cracked me up at first because it sounded so ridiculous. But as the story progressed I got over it pretty quickly. Overall, it's a simple yet sexy, insightful read.

P.S The heroine is really annoying so fair warning. Haha.

(I received this book as an ARC)

I knew of age play, but I didn't have much knowledge or understanding of it. I really did enjoy the story, despite this kink not being for me. I do wish this was a series, though, instead of a stand-alone, but the book ends with a neatly tied bow, so I didn't feel like there were things left unresolved. All in all, good story!
