Overall a decent book. Storyline didn’t have much plot and the romance was rushed and felt forced. The characters weren’t as well developed as I would’ve liked though.

This started out slow for me, but I like Kristine Rolofson's westerns so I kept reading. I liked Gert, Kate McIntosh, grandmother. She was determined to push Kate and Dustin Jones, her ranch foreman, together. Dustin and Kate share a past, which she ran from 9 yrs ago, when the rumors of he'd been with Lisa had resulted in her pregnancy. Now he's a father to Danny and Gert has plans to make him a partner on her ranch. Loving family interaction within the family and extending that love to Danny and Dustin. The past comes into the story for both Dustin and Gert's daughter, Martha, having with different family issues.
