Time Moves On

by Melanie McGann

12 year-old Ellie Parker’s birthday has finally arrived, and her dad is finally able to keep her birthday present a secret. But when they board the small plane to head to her grandmothers house, an unexpected engine malfunction wreaks havoc on Ellie’s big day. When she wakes up from the crash, she finds herself alone as she explores the unknown forest in search of her parents. Ellie stumbles across a strange, shimmering portal that makes things disappear, and when she steps through it herself, she is not prepared for the new world she encounters. Can she find a way to help the people in this new place, and will she be able to find her parents or her way back home? Only time will tell.
