Read THE GATHERING first to understand the rest. Liam is # 14...
Possessiveness such as he’d never known rose up within him and, without thought, he leaned down and stole a quick kiss. She slapped him. Hard. “Who do you think you are?”
Liam MacGregor is a ghost in search of adventure, and it’s finally his turn to have some fun. Sure, revenge, family, moving on—these things mean more than anything. But he has a task to perform first, so, while he has the chance, he might as well have fun doing it. And she is his task. Amber. Wildly beautiful and stubborn. He’d never thought to feel this way about a woman. Never believed he’d have the chance. He can’t have her, but for now, she is his to protect.
Amber DeLuca wants nothing to do with her father’s illegal activities, or her new bodyguard. She’s on her way to starting a new chapter in her life when a kidnapping and rescue derail her once again. But when Liam enters her life, the fun-loving Highlander makes her laugh. She feels safe, cherished, protected. Falling in love with him is the easiest thing she’s ever done. But what she doesn’t know just might end up hurting her.
A NOTE ABOUT THE SERIES: Although the individual stories of Culloden's 79 need not be read in strict order, The Gathering should definitely be read first in order to know what's going on between the Muir Witch and these Highland warriors from 1746. The Reckoning, Number 79's story, will finish the series.
Diane Darcy loves to read and write lighthearted and funny books. She’s a member of the Heart of the West, and RWA. She was a finalist for Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart® Award. She’s written romantic comedies in several different genres; some historical, some contemporary, all lighthearted and fun. She makes her home in Utah with her family and dogs, and is hard at work on her next book.
Liam's number is called, his turn to leave his Highlander brothers who died in battle together. He's to do a good deed, though Liam isn't sure what it's suppose to be.
He ends up in Las Vegas, and once he realizes it isn't hell, and that he seems to be alive in the present world, he is only too happy to rescue the fiesty damsel in distress. With her father's shady deals, Liam is the perfect bodyguard for Amber. That is, when Liam remembers to keep an eye out for danger, and when he can tell the difference between what's real and made up. Amber realizes pretty quickly that Liam's cheerful and energetic. I love how Diane Darcy weaves another fun-loving story with a Scottish hero who's a tough warrior and such a softie.

What happens in Vegas... And Area 51... I really liked Amber. She seemed very relatable. Rich Daddy and trying to make it on her own. Then, when someone tries to kidnap her, Liam is her knight in shining armor. It really kept my interest. Absolutely loved the ending.
Liam is book 14 in the series. Each book originates from the ghosts of 79 people who died at Culloden. However, each story is unique, and focuses on the specific ghost. Each ghost must complete a noble deed. Liam ends up in Las Vegas. He has been lucky his whole life, and that luck still holds, he keeps acquiring money. He ends up being a body guard protecting a kingpin’s daughter. I liked how he was shot several times and tasered, but did not die. Loved the humor of adding the tailor park neighbors and alien theory. I liked have the author weaved in the story of Liam’s two brothers. The story is well written and interesting. The characters are well developed. Narration is excellent, I love the Scottish brogue. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Nice little book. Scottish warrior that was killed in Scottish battle comes To Las Vegas after waiting for 275 years to be picked by the witch to come back instead of hanging around the battle ground waiting to see if they were going to heaven or hell. The only catch is he had to complete a mission. So he went off to Las Vegas Were he had a blast learning the new world and falling in love and after saving the girls life he is allowed to become human stay on earth and the live happily ever after..
Liam (The Ghosts of Culloden Moor #14), my third read from author Diane Darcy. Another well-written short read, the fourteenth book in this ongoing series. I'll read more from this author & in this series, but what really got me going was narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue. Co-narrator Jenn McGuirk added to the enjoyment of the book. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Lucky Liam, full of confidence, financial luck and an adventurous spirit lands in Las Vegas of all places. Also in Las Vegas, we find Amber trying to distance herself from her father and his illegal activities. We also run into her trailer-park, alien-obsessed friends whom she adores. The main characters are fun. Who could not love Liam? I did find myself commiserating with the bad guy at one point as he complained about the sappiness; it got a bit thick.

This is book 14 in the series. You will want to read the first short story, The Gathering, for the background of the Muir witch before you start the rest of the series. After that, each one can be read as a standalone .
The youngest of the Macgregor brothers finally gets his chance at his good deed. Loved Liam’s arrogance💕 it is just what he needed to keep on his toes.
An entertaining and engaging story with fully developed characters and an intriguing storyline. Liam and Amber are really likeable characters who will bring you a lot of laughs while they are trying to avoid danger and falling in love. There is some violence, a little craziness, some tears, and a satisfyingly sweet HEA. A prologue to explain the situation would have been helpful and this book needs some minor editing.
This is book 14 in The Ghosts of Culloden Moor Series, a Scottish Paranormal Romance. This series of short novellas is amazing! Liam and Amber's story is entertaining, fun, intriguing, engaging, and heartwarming, filled with action, and twists and turns. I liked this story sets in Vegas! Some scenes are hilarious! This is a wonderful series, and this book does not disappoint. Liam is on a quest to do a noble deed, be the hero and save the day. If he can accomplish this in 2 days, then he is due a reward. Liam rescues Amber from kidnappers but he is still alive and no reward in site. Liam follows Amber around all the while they fall for each other. You have to love a guy who saves the day and possibly gets the girl at the end.

A story about a time traveling highland warrior ghost with gansters, alien hunters and sharks? What more could you want? Liam is a blast and his love story is sweet, romantic, and a heck of a great ride. Diane Darcy delivers and gives the last of the McGregors an amazing ending. Loved this book
To see the wonders of Las Vegas through the eyes of somebody that would have been born 270 years earlier was very A mazing Liam was almost child like the adventures he had seen the things he was in Vegas Throw in some Mob guys and kidnapping and you're off to a grade adventure super book
This is part of the ghost of the "Culloden Moor" series and is probably best if you read them in order. Definitely read the "Gathering" first because it sets everything up. This is a good story, that develops nicely. It is interesting and intriguing with good narration. This one is about Liam, Amber, fate and second chances. I really enjoyed how this one develops.
This is my favorite story so far. Roger and Velma were perfect secondary characters to go along with Liam and Amber. I'm looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.
This was a fun, fast paced story that had me laughing all the way to the end. There was a bit of drama when the bullets started to fly. But it didn't matter in the end, what matter was the love between Amber and Liam.
Liam lived for adventure but Amber had enough already because her father was a mobster. Liam was temporarily alive in order to save Amber from harm.could he save her before the with came back for him.
As I'd been wondering and hoping about it, I was so thrilled about the reunion of the brothers. I hope there is a reunion with the others from the 79. For them to see where everyone ended up would be wonderful!
This has been my favorite book so far and that is saying a lot! All the books have been wonderful, if the series stopped now I would still be a happy reader. Thank you Diane Darcy.
