Stay tuned for a brand-new show coming in winter 2018 to PBS Pinkalicious & Peterrific!
#1 New York Times bestselling author Victoria Kann is back with a new I Can Read story featuring Pinkalicious!
Pinkalicious is surprised when the author of her favorite series, the Princess Plum books, turns out to be a man and not a princess! But after talking to him, she is inspired to write her own stories--and when she finds herself daydreaming about her ideas in class, Pinkalicious's teacher decides to have a writing festival. Beginning readers will love seeing how Pinkalicious uses her imagination to write a pinkamazing story in this I Can Read adventure!
This is a Level One I Can Read book, which means it's perfect for children learning to sound out words and sentences.
Victoria Kann is the award-winning illustrator and author of the picture book series featuring the whimsical and effervescent character Pinkalicious. Victoria coauthored and illustrated the first two books, Pinkalicious and Purplicious. In addition, she cowrote Pinkalicious: The Musical and wrote and illustrated the #1 New York Times bestsellers Goldilicious and Silverlicious. Currently she is working on several more books about the adventures and antics of Pinkalicious. You can visit her online at www.thinkpinkalicious.com.
I just can't get over the part in the story when the teacher changes the curriculum for a week...hahahahahahahaha...like that could happen in our test system!
Another great book about Pinkalicious who is shocked to find that the author of her favorite princess book is not written by an actual princess but by a middle-aged man. Then she is excited to learn that by using your imagination, anyone can create fascinating stories for others to read. This inspires Pinkalicious to create her own novel which leads to her whole class writing stories to share. Now my 4 year old is working on her own illustrated storybook.
Because it is about story time and she loves book festivals. And people are writing stories. ☺️😘🙌🙌👨🏾💼👩🏾🔧👩🏾🎨👩🏾🎨🎅🏿🇧🇭🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇭🇧🇭🇧🇭🇧🇩🇧🇿🇧🇿🇧🇯🇧🇾🇧🇿🇧🇲🇧🇦🇧🇦🇧🇳🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇫🇧🇧🇧🇼🇦🇮🇦🇱🏁🏳️🌈🇦🇴per hope, as for me, I truly loved this book. I got a little choked up by the end. The idea that encouraging someone can also help cultivate creativity and ensure uniqueness. But more than that , learning that books can open a word of possibilities. I can only hope that one day I can help in such a way that someone wants to write me a thank you letter like the one in the book.
This is a tale of when Pinkalicious discovered what an author is- and that she can be one too! She gets very invested in creative writing and even gets her whole class involved! This would be a great read for Y younger elementary. I would use this in a classroom to introduce the concept of authorship or a creative writing project to the class.
This is the first Pinkalicious story that didn’t make me roll my eyes or make me want to hide the book. Pinkalicious meets the author of her favorite book series. She follows his advice and starts to write her own stories.
This book is obviously great for any child who loves the color pink, princesses, and anything really girly. However, it is also a great book to help children think about how books are created, specifically picture books. In this story, Pinkalicious meets the author of her favorite books and afterward, she cannot stop writing her own stories. She even takes the idea to her classroom and the whole class holds a book festival.
