If I have to be outed as a closet perv, I'm gonna do it for this story. I absolutely love Harada's work, than this on in particular is my favourite. It is supposedly an erotic comedy, but be forewarned: it also features child prostitution and rape. But ultimately, it is an unconventional love story that—and I'm not ashamed to admit it—totally made me cry.
Harada's strength is in the development of his/her characters. Although they do some pretty shocking, sometimes appalling things, but there is such depth and heart to them that you can see the humanity shine through every single one. They show how messy life and relationships can be, how things aren't always clear, but there is forgiveness and charity and grace and peace.
Obviously it is not a story for everyone, for a number of different reasons, but I absolutely love it!
Better than the first one in my opinion, since the plot starts showing itself and the various relationships are explained in more details. I especially like the characters of Momo’s counselor (the homeless old man). I don’t know whether it’s from the genre itself or if it is a prerogative of the author, but there is still tons of sex - so mind that if you want to read it. Seeing the progression of the feelings between Yata and Momo is endearing, and the new addition to their dynamic (the neighbour) is actually a fun one!
I liked this one a lot more than the first volume. I loved seeing their relationship develop more and I LOVED learning more about Momo's backstory and all that he's had to endure. I love that he was finally open and vulnerable with Yata and let down his facade, even if it was only for a moment. Albeit heart-wrenching (I was all teary-eyed), it was nice to see. Very curious to see where things go from here.

He llorado cascadas leyendo este tomo. Porque el pasado de Momo es duro. Mucho.
Poor boy the neighbour kid / “it’d be easier if you didn’t see anything though” wow / that escalated quickly D: / things got heavy like a big turn to the dark / finally they are turning soft / it’s nice how he has two people who care, now / I don’t know but I would never forgive / that ugly guy

*Reread 4/7/2022* AH. Momo's breakdown still fucking hits. Like the way you can see the burden of brushing everything off like it's nothing weighing on him until Yata's caring attitude breaks it all down and he just lets everything out and speaks out truthfully. Like they love each other so much. It's so sweet how perfect they are for each other. I also like how Kurita started out as the grumpy neighbor, but went out of his weigh to reach out to Momo's mom to try to help. It's just so good.
I feel so bad for both him and his mom. Like she tried to be a good mom at first until it went down and then she became absolutely awful and abandoned him and Momo was awful back to protect himself. They're both victims of their circumstances, but that doesn't excuse the mother's behavior in the slightest. Then there's Suda what piece of shit. There's a part of me that feels just a touch sympathetic for him, but he's honestly horrible and deserves no sympathy. So what if he actually loved Momo? He still did all that shit to him. Yata was what Momo needed and it's not even like Yata solved all Momo's problems. He just gave Momo the push.
Anyway so many thoughts. I really liked this and I hope Kuma makes physicals, please and thank you.
*Original Review 3/6/2022* That's what I'm talking about! Momo's confrontation with his mom and then his vulnerability with Yata afterwards was great. It was heart breaking and raw and some of the things Momo said and felt hit so fucking hard. Loved that. I feel like the situation still hasn't fully been resolved though. Hopefully in the next volume. I don't think he has to reconcile with his mom or anything, but idk it just seemed like he had that breakthrough moment and then it just ended. This volume's the best out of everything I've read from harada so far and it's what I've been hoping for out of these. I feel like I might be overrating just because it's so much better than the other two.
And the ART. God it's so good. I haven't talked about the art much, but it's so chaotic and messy and amazing. I thoroughly enjoy the way these are drawn.

Talk about a manga that's difficult to review... I really liked the story and the characters. There was lots of sex and to me it felt more like comedy than erotic but not really :/ you see, I can't find the right words to describe it. The most simple summary would be a goodhearted guy meeting a prostitute with a wrecked attitude and they fall in love.
Didn't realize that I had read this during the first volume, I suppose. HAHA. Oh, well. I don't think that I remember much of it but if I've stayed with this story for so long I'm probably still interested.
