An NYPD Cold Case Novella – From the Author of the James Maguire series.
In 2004, Katherine White was murdered by a serial killer, dubbed the 'Manhattan Ripper,' who targeted prostitutes, and the case was closed. But the woman's politically connected father has never accepted that his daughter was a prostitute and now he has asked his friend, the new mayor, to re-open the investigation.
When Detective Angelo Antonucci, of the NYPD's Cold Case Squad, is tasked with looking into it, he finds that all the clues point toward the original findings. Soon Antonucci realizes that unless he finds new evidence to clear the woman's name, it just might be his career that goes cold.
A perfect novella read for procedural fans of James Patterson, Jeff Carson, Michael Connelly and J.D. Robb.
Andrew G. Nelson was born and raised in New York City and graduated from the State University of New York. In 2005 he retired as a sergeant from the NYPD after twenty years of service.
He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, something that he draws from in his writing. When he is not reading or writing he can be found engaging in his other passion, collecting and researching police and WWII military memorabilia. He is the author of numerous police procedural novels, focused on the NYPD, as well as a number of non-fiction works.
I love cold case stories and this one is really interesting. Mr. and Mrs. White never believed their daughter's death was at the hands of the Manhattan Ripper and now years later they have asked the case to be looked at yet again. Angelo Antonucci is assigned the case and readers are going to find themselves fascinated as Angelo digs up the past and delivers a spellbinding look into what occurs when a cold case is examined and answers slowly and hopefully found. The author does a great job telling the story with a fantastic knowledge of police procedure and amazing characters. This is one is a keeper.
Superbly written with a great twist in the end! To get the entire picture, begin with the James Maguire series that will tie in Alex Taylor and Angelo Antonucci! You will not be able to put these books down!!
