Frequency: Tune In. Hear God.

Rate this book
God is speaking. Are you listening? As you open your spiritual "ears," you will learn to determine which channels God is using to broadcast his intentions. Discover how to discern his specific versus his general voice, recognize the multiple ways he communicates, and draw closer to him by reading his Word. As believers in Jesus Christ, we naturally want to know how we can hear God’s voice. Does God speak? Is He speaking to you? The good news is, yes, He is speaking. And like a radio host broadcasting His voice into the airwaves, God speaks all the time. The question is, are we tuned in to the right frequency? God communicates with us in multiple ways, whether through the Bible, through circumstances, or even through a whisper. Pastor Robert Morris demonstrates how we can grow in our faith, maturing from sheep hearing His voice to hearing it as His friend or even as a prophet. When we begin to understand the general and specific ways God speaks to us, then we can begin to cultivate a life of deeper connection with our Creator. In Frequency , you Frequency will demystify the process of hearing God and take you to a new level in your faith.

Found this book to be very rewarding. It wasn't " preachy" but easy to follow which doesn't always happen with books on any religious topics .Sometimes they are wordy and leave me scratching my head at the end ,or they are just heavy tomes with a good purpose but not well written. This is not the case with Frequency at all.I know I will reference it in the future and at some point re read it . I will also share it with others .Robert Morris has successfully found a way to take a tough subject and turn it into a terrific guidebook. I highly recommend it : )

This was a really insightful book about why and how we can hear God speaking to us in our every day life. Robert is a gifted teacher and also has a ton of encouraging personal stories from his own journey of learning to discern and respond to the voice of God. If you are trying to hear Gods voice more in your own life, this book would be a great resource to dig into!

Favorite Quote: “We will not have breakthroughs in our own lives unless we have faith. And we will not have faith unless we hear God. So we will not have any breakthroughs unless we purposely and regularly set aside time to hear from God. Faith is not a blind leap. The Bible says that Gods word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our paths (Ps. 119:105). When God gives us a word, we have enough light to take the next step. Faith is never blind. Faith always relies upon God’s Word...”

I started reading this book as part of a Bible study with others, but had to finish it on my own. Doing so was grueling. It’s not that the book isn’t informative, it’s that I tired of reading Morris’ personal accounts of encounters with God and continuing to read the same theme—you will hear God speaking to you when you have a relationship with Him.

This is not a new concept, yet I can understand why there is a need for the book. Many want to hear God’s counsel, but do not know how to make that happen. Morris emphasizes building a personal relationship with God through reading His Word, daily prayer, community and personal worship, stewardship, and fellowship with other believers. Pretty much... that’s the whole book. He backs his recommendations with Scriptural references and personal examples of how Morris and those in his social and religious circles have seen it come to pass.

Yes, You Can Hear From God!

Robert Morris is truly readable. His books, including this one, are easy to read. He writes as well as he preaches, which is good!

In this book, Morris teaches how to hear from God. He explains this clearly, with examples. After he initially teaches how to hear from God, for example, the still small voice, his chapters are divided up into ways to hear from God, such as prophetic words for others and breakthroughs.

This is the third book I have read by this author. I’m sure it won’t be the last.

A great reminder of the different ways we hear from God. I appreciated the stories from Robert’s own life of hearing from God as well as the practical insight he gives on other biblical ways we hear from God.

I would read this again and recommend it to friends. Hearing God’s voice in our life and making time for Him, allows us to receive the important wisdom and direction we need in life. Frequency is relevant to every Christ follower and reminds me of the necessity of staying close to His word.

You can hear God; tune in to his frequency

Robert Morris gives us assurance that God is speaking and we can hear and understand his voice. He shows us through the scriptures and through many instructive anecdotes how to hear and obey. If you need a word from the Lord, heed Pastor Morris' instructions.

Opened my eyes

This book opened my eyes to the possibility of more clearly hearing from God. Rather than seeming like a mystery, Pastor Morris laid out the ways that we can improve our listening skills. I look forward to trying to improve my walk with Christ so I can hear Him better.

A little lengthy and repetitive, not a whole lot of depth. There is some scripture and quite a few anecdotes. Easy to read and a good introduction to hearing God's Word.

There are a few pages devoted to at least ten different ways that we hear God's Word. This was encouraging to me and would be to anyone who doesn't feel that they have heard the Word of God for their lives before.

Robert Morris explains in a clear way how we hear from God and why we should listen for God's voice. I know this and have tried to explain it to someone else, but this helped me think about it in a different way. I definitely recommend this book. It's easy to read and easy to understand. Doing is more involved, but quite possible.

Good book! Already started incorporating some of his ideas into my quiet time and the Lord is so so GOOD!

Also the end of the book he talks about his niece named Erin who also left a job after a year and a half and was blessed by God - felt a LITTLE on the nose 😂
