Rescued in more ways than one

I love how this author continues to keep me on the edge of my seat, each new book gives me the HEA I crave and yet leaves me wanting to see what happens next. Every character has their moment to shine and then we see them again in the next book. I don’t know what is going to happen next, but I can’t wait to read all about it in the next book.

He’s a freaking shifter. Pull yourself together. But the old argument sounded hollow and meaningless. No, he’s a freaking teddy bear. And what do you do with teddy bears? You snuggle them. Witches & Tigers & Bears, YUMMY YUM YUM!! What a BEARY FANGTASTIC story!! It's stuffed full with friends, magic, mates, enemies, Old Ways vs. New, intrigue, mystery, betrayal, lust & love and so much more that makes it one FURMENDOUSLY BEARLICIOUS story that I could not put down! I love Callan! He's like this GRRREAT big, protective, TEDDY BEAR that I wanted to reach out & cuddle! Good thing I can't otherwise Ashley would be doing some kind of witchy voodoo on me! :-) Ashley is also one WITCHTASTIC character that I could totally relate to, bonding with her all but instantly, and loving almost every single second of it! Claimed by the Bear picks up the mystery where Palm Haven Shifters, #1 left off. In book one the reader is introduced to Sarah (the witch), Sloan (the tiger shifter) and the underlying felling that something big is brewing. That idea is carried over to this installment and lets just say the plot thickens. I like to one of the themes of the series (that witches and shifters don't socialize in any manner) and there are a few brave souls who break tradition deliberately or accidentally.

As that theme carries to book two we meet coven witch Ashley Montgomery who is pretty, sassy and in over her head. Who knew helping out an inexperienced witch (Sarah) would put her in the middle of the conflict. It doesn't help that she is in the sites of her destined mate (bear shifter Callan Fredricks) and she doesn't know it. Callan big, hunky and handsome with that insta-bonding that's usually a part of shifter romances. Like the last installment this ends kind of suddenly when you would want to know what happens next with the couple. This is a light read but there is enough spice for those looking for it. It will be interesting to see how this series ends but I don't see myself rushing to find out.

Claimed by the Bear is the second book in the Palm Haven Shifters series. It's Callan's story. It's a standalone book that connects with other books in the series through some shared characters and has an HEA. It's not necessary to read the first book in this series first or even at all but I would recommend doing that.

Callan and Ashley meet when Callan saves her life. Callan is a bear shifter, whose bear instantly recognizes Ashley as it's mate. Ashley is a witch who is a member of a coven and has problems with controlling her power. While these two are instantly attracted to each other there's one big problem, shifters and witches are natural enemies. Can these two get over their own prejudices and the prejudice of those around them to find happiness? Read to find out.

In this delightful shape-shifter romance, readers meet Ashley Lynn Montgomery, a witch, and Callan Fredericks, a shape-shifting bear. Ashley, a good-natured witch, is part of a coven and is at odds with the elders—Sage and Esther. They want to wreak havoc with the existing relationship between the shifters and the Coven. However, Destiny brings Ashley and Callan together. Can a witch and a bear find happiness? Will the Coven elders be successful? You must read this book to learn what happens.

Ms. Tate, once again, captured my interest with this outstanding shape-shifter romance. Her lead characters are multi-dimensional and likeable. I enjoyed her two-prong plot. The first being Ashley and Callan’s romantic journey. The second being the mystery as to why the Coven elders—Sage and Esther—are so set at destroying the peaceful co-existence between shifters and witches. I admire the way Ms. Tate ends each book with a cliffhanger pulling her readers into the next book in this series. Well done, Ms. Tate.

Witches...

Witches, tigers, and bears...OH MY! Unfortunately, they are not all good, in fact there seems to be some very evil plans afoot. Ashley and Callen have connected, but how long would they have with war threatening on the horizon?
Can't wait to start the third book of the series!

I chose to read and review this book. I am a fan of the author and do enjoy this series. It is well written and the characters are to die for. I liked hoe they mixed them together and see how each one connects with the other. It was very hot sexy sparks fly everywhere.It has a lot of suspense. I was been surprised. I recommend this one you will love it .

Sennah is a tremendous Author and has done a fantastic job on the story-line and the plot both of which thicken throughout the story-line. The character personalities so fit with their characters and it make for an amazing story

Callen a bear shifter saw a woman about to be smashed by falling material so he raced over to her grabbed her and took her to ground where he covered her for protection with his own body.

Ashley couldn't believe all of the bubbles of magic fluttering throughout her. Then she remembered the coven meeting and told the very big, very perfect specimen of a man to get off her. Then she ran for the meeting.

Ashley was already late and the coven leader stated there was no guardian leader for the ley lines. Ashley stood up and stated that there was. The leader laughed at her and said that the young witch couldn't control her own magic. Again Ashley spoke against the coven leader and stated that Sarah was controlling her magic much better now she had her mate to help her, a tiger shifter.

Everyone went ballistic. Witches and shifters were enemys, shifters were untrust worthy and all they wanted was to take the power from the witches.

Ashley had always been raised to believe so but Slone was different he even stood up for The witches against the tigers.

Ashley and Callen went on to develop a relationship as they couldn't stay away from each other. They were mates. One night while Callen was letting his bear run he overhear voices and found that a tiger and a lady was plotting against Ashley and Sarah.

Sennah Tate is an awesome author and I love her books. "Claimed by the Bear" was a good book. It captured my interest at the beginning of the book all the way to the end. The ending to me just needed a little more. Wasn't a fan of the ending. Overall I really like the book and I would recommend it to anyone to read because what I like and other like may not be the same. Most people will probably agree with her ending choice.

Ashly Montgomery is a white witch who is caught in the middle of the war brewing between the magical factions of Palm Haven. She is trying to calm her powers but her Coven has other plans for her. She is worried that the Coven's plans may force her to revel the extent of her magic or she may lose it forever. She needs a shifter to her build up her magic and then she meets Callan Fredricks Why can't she stay away from him?

Callan Fredricks is a bear shifter and while working on a building he saves Ashly's life and then his bear realizes that he has found his mate. But Callan isn't so sure what to think because after shifters and witches are mortal enemies and Ashly is a witch.

With dark forces after them both they will have to at some point get over their prejudices against each other because time is running out.

In order to find out if they are able to do and if they get their happily ever after then you will have to read this book. Trust me you will not be disappointed. ARC free book for honest review.

The Bear and the Witch– mystery, romance and magic!! 4.7 stars

Ashley, a witch, on her way to a Coven emergency meeting when she is saved from falling debris by a construction worker with golden eyes who makes her magic swirl. The emergency concerns the sudden draining of magic – which Ashley knows has resulted from her friend Sarah who is a Guardian, and is also now mated to a Tiger. Historically witches and shifters do not mix. The Coven presses responsibility for Sarah upon Ashley.

Ashley is able to give Sarah one more lesson in controlling her magic, before being called to the Coven next day. Both their magic is on the line. Drained, Ashley knew she needed to revive her magic, and only knew one way – she needs a hook-up.

Callan, bear-shifter, and Ashley’s rescuer waited for her to re-emerge, but she never did. His bear recognized her on sight as his mate, but how was he to find her again? Restless he goes to a dodgy human bar, when who but Ashley comes in. Can these two create a relationship regardless of being historic enemies? Will Ashley be able to keep her magic? Someone is stirring the pot between shifters and the Coven – making being together even more impossible. Love these characters, the underlying mystery and how their relationship develops.

can a Bear and a Witch overcome all obstaclesThe town of Palm Haven is a magic town full different shifters, tigers(Sloan), bears(Callan) and wolves not to mention the coven of witches. The problem is none of them get along, each an enemy of the other even though they all have magic. Palm Haven is special in that it has strong Ley lines running under it. Sara is the Guardian of the lines the problem is that she is a new witch and cannot control magic and the Ley is strong magic. Sarah's mate is Sloan a tiger shifter and he knows Ashley a more mature witch, from there past and ask her to help Sarah. this puts Ashley in a tight place for she is not well liked in the coven and now she is putting her magic on the line to help Sarah. As she enters the coven she is running late, aggravated and the last straw is a construction worker whistle s she turns to give him a piece of her mind hears a yell and finds herself pinned under a hunky man. As Callan and Ashley touch magic zings. This is there story and I want more. The ending is so not to my liking it is okay but just stopped. There is so much going on and the book just stopped. So I have a love /hate going on with this book. I received this for free review from the author.

Great Read!

It seems like the world keeps pushing Ashley & Callan together, is it really just a coincidence, or are they indeed future mates.
Ashley Montgomery is running late to her meeting with The Coven. A wolf whistle coming from the scaffolding around the building annoyed of his caveman styled behaviour, Ashley puts her head down and rushes passed. Little does she know she’s soon to be wrestled to the ground by a very Hot workman.

Callan Fredricks is working on the building, his Bear senses danger, it roars into action, knocking the woman onto the ground to save her. Her scent catches him off guard he doesn’t want to let her leave, suddenly aware of the fact he is still lying on top of her. Callan helps her back onto her feet and she darts off into the building.

This is the sweet, first meeting of the two main characters, plenty more to come, a great read full of very steamy moments as they get more involved. But they are keeping secrets he doesn't know she's a witch and she is unaware of him being a shifter. How will they react when they find out the truth?

In a world where Shifters and Witches are forbidden to be together, how will things pan out for the Bear Shifter and a young Witch.

Ashley is a witch with untapped powers in a town over run with shifters. But she is using up her powers and reserve to help Sarah tame her magic. Until she meets someone that gives her a boost. But this person that gives her a boost is someone that is forbidden to her. Will Ashley let the laws dictate her life?

Callan is a bear shifter whose clan stays to themselves. That is until he runs into Ashley. Now he can't stay away from her. His bear knows who she is and is ready to do something about. But Callan is still a little hesitant on whether to claim or not. Bears and witches don't get along. That is until them. Will rules prevent them to be together or will they make their own?

I love this series. I can't wait to read the 3rd book. I could not put this book down. I am rooting for Ashley and Callan. It would be awesome so see the couples that are forbidden to be together join forces against everyone that want to do harm to them. And see what happens. Sennah is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend this book to others to read.

in this second installment we see things from a different perspective then in the first book. it shows us more then the characters themselves realize and i like that. it kept me on the tip of my chair while reading. once more we join a witch, one who's helping the one we got to know in the first book.
still it is a big no no to engage anything with a shifter (which the first witch kindly ignored when she mated with a tiger *winks* ). this time the witch in question runs into a bear of a man, literally and figuratively. she knows she shouldn't want him so much but that one orgasm she received from him has given her more magic then she ever though possible. she does her hardest to fight temptation but other factors have other ideas and again and again they're thrown together.
will they be able to go beyond who they are and what is at stake?
who knows but i would suggest you join many of us as we now painstakingly wait for the next book to learn more!!

Sennah Tate has written a wonderful story of shifter and witches. Just fell in love with the characters and the strength they showed to overcome things. Ashley is a member of the Coven and has been helping Sarah the Guardian. But there is more going on in the town then it appears. There are two battles being wage in the background before a full out war starts between shifters and witch. Callen is a bear shifter and when he saves Ashley from an accident at the Coven house, he is happy to finally meet his one. What do you do when both groups hate each other? Wil Ashley be able to look past things and let Callen in? Highly recommend this paranormal book for all, you will totally enjoy it.

Oh Book 2 is for Ashley and Callan
Ashley is a coven witch helping an untaught witch how to control her powers and protect the ley lines since the is ment to be there guardian.
But there seems to be more going on behind the scenes and the of the coven "Sage" seem out to get Ashley.
And they there is Callan a big bear who with one look know that Ashley was his mate witch or not he and his bear doesn't really care she is there's they just have to get her on board with the idea lol
Love the characters and the storyline on this story. The action and spice is off the charts. Great mix for all us shifter and magic/ witch fans out there.

A Great read! A very well written story. Suspenseful, hot, sexy, and steamy. It will keep you on your toes. Ashley, a witch, needs to replenish her magic. She meets Callan at a bar and let's just say her day gets better. Little does she know Callan is a bear shifter. Shifters and witches don't mix due to mistrust. She has her hands full training the new guardian, Sarah and dealing with her coven. She doesn't have time for this. Or does she? Strife sets in within her coven. Was Ashley's life on the line?. Can he convince her to take a chance with him? I couldn't put it down!

Get carried away with a great story

You will fall in love with this story line. It builds. It is interesting and compelling. Ashley and Callum are two different kinds of supernatural and their situation reminds me of the crap interracial couples deal with. I loved how the secrets in town are all connected but each has its own twist that favors their faction. I was drawn in to the story right from the beginning and I remembered reading the first story in this series a while back. I really like Sennah Tate's writing style. Her writing is crisp. Her characters are full and interesting. Her plot lines are distinct and the action feeds the theme. Her stories are fun and interesting and the sexiness is hot but not gratuitous. I really loved this book.

Ashley Montgomery is a witch, and she's been helping Sarah (from book) learn to use her powers and to guard the ley lines. Callan Fredericks is a bear shifter who is doing construction the coven mansion - they literally run into each other, neither knowing who (or what) the other is and end up having a fling. Callan realizes Ashley is his mate, but there is trouble brewing with the witches and seeing a shifter is not in the cards for Ashley. This was a short and sexy story, and although the book blurb says the stories can be stand alones, they really should be read in order as there is an underlying issue going on with the paranormal world! I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to the next!

I love that this story takes place here in Florida. The Palm Haven Shifters series is a very magical, intriguing, suspenseful and witty series.

In this second book of the series Ashley discovers that she is in grave danger and it's too close to home because it's someone very powerful in her coven. This person is planning something catastrophic and will use different shifters to make it happen, but Ashley is in the way and must be eliminated...Only problem is this was discovered by Callan a bear shifter that just happens to be Ashley's mate, or at least hopes to be.

Very magical and very entertaining.

this is an ARC REVIEW given in exchange for an honest review i also read the first book in this series and look forward to reading book 3 that comes out at the end of this month .
so what happens when fate brings your mate . but what happens when your mate is a witch and you are a shifter and that neither are to be together . do you deny the truth of what you feel or stop denying and go for what your heart knows is right . and what if your coven has bad plans for you only to have war come when in fact war should not come find out in book 3 and beyond to see what may happen next between shifters and witches

Ashley is a witch and she knows to avoid shifters. There seems to be a war brewing and there may be someone out to get her. Callan is a bear shifter and for some reason he just can't seem to get Ashley off his mind once he sees her.
Ashley doesn't realize Callan is a bear at first, and once she knows she can't seem to keep her distance. Is what she has always been told a lie, are the shifters really bad? Or perhaps he is just what she needs in her life?
I look forward to finding out more in the next book and can't wait to find out about the next couple as well.

I loved this story I want to find out what will happen with the next book.
Callan Fredricks a bear shifter saves Ashley Montgomery a white witch from being hurt on a construction site he is working at, Callan feels Ashley is his mate but shifters and witches are mortal enemies. It was different, I have never read shifter and a witch story, it was really hot, but I felt like it is missing something to put it all together, I just could not understand prejudice between the shifter and witch. But overall great story, I think I would understand more if I read the first book in the series. So before reading this I recommend reading the first book.

With a war looming and now two witches mated to the shifters they're supposed to be enemies with, will these new pairings be enough to help dispel the mistrust ? Maybe, but I suspect not before there's bloodshed.
This is book 2 in the series and parts of it lead you to believe there's a bit of a time gap between this and book 1 but the story seems to follow on directly so that was a little distracting but all in all an enjoyable read.

Ashly is a with who is unbeknownst to her coven is attracted to a bear shifter. Callen is very upset with his bears attraction to Ashly. This is an extremely interesting book. 1. Witches do not normally get along with shifters 2. Shifters do not like witches at all. 3. These witches are divided in the coven and from the first you could see trouble brewing. Ashley is a witch and needs sex to refuel her magic. Callan is a bear and knows Ashley as his mate. Neither know what the other is, but they both know that witches and shifters are sworn enemies. The pull is strong between them and they are both have trouble not giving in. This is a great book of forbidden love , betrayal and loyalty. I recommend it as a good read

Anxiously awaiting book 3 to read and review. This series just gets better with each book. Seems as an elder witch is trying to start a shifter clan war, we won't know exactly what's happening until the next few books, but I hope she loses big time.
