Typical New Zealanders, Shelley and her husband left home for their big OE soon after they married (translation of New Zealand speak - big overseas experience). A year long adventure lengthened to six years of roaming the world. Enduring memories include being almost sat on by a mountain gorilla in Rwanda, lazing on white sandy beaches in India, whale watching in Alaska, searching for leprechauns in Ireland, and dealing with ghosts in an English pub.

While travel is still a big attraction, these days Shelley is most likely found in front of her computer following another love - that of writing stories of romance and adventure. Other interests include watching rugby and rugby league (strictly for research purposes), being walked by the dog, and curling up with a good book.

Sam’s had a crush on Lisa for years and he’s eager to stake his claim and the reader can’t help but enjoy this passionate story as Sam sets out to persuade Lisa to his way of thinking. Having a relationship with Sam should be out of the question but Lisa can’t deny the sizzling attraction between them which leads to some exiting and satisfying sex but Sam wanting more causes some quite a bit of emotional turmoil that readers can relate to. These strong, captivating characters steal your heart while they draw you into the story and the fast paced, smooth flowing plot keeps you on the edge with suspense, excitement and romance.

Suspense builds plenty of spine tingling tension throughout the story as Lisa attracts the attention of a stalker and the escalating incidents wreaks havoc with Lisa’s world and puts her in harm’s way. Along with all the excitement, the story is full of humorous scenes and unexpected twists that keeps everyone on their toes and the well written scenes are full of vivid details that make it easy for the reader to picture each and every scene as it happens which in return keeps them completely immersed in the story.

I just had another sizzling and entertaining visit to Middlemarch and the sexy felines that live there, although to be honest some of Lisa and Sam’s story takes place in her home town but a little travel always spices things up and I can’t wait for my next stopover in Middlemarch…I wonder who I get to meet next.

Good story

Lisa is a feline shifter, a widow and a graphics designer. She goes to a Shifter Ball and runs into Sam. Sam is seven years younger, a feline shifter and she used to babysit him when he was a kid. Sam has loved Lisa since he was a child but he is all man now and knows Lisa is his mate. He runs his family's ranch and breeds horses. It'll take a little convincing and some help from Lisa's husbands ghost to get her to accept it.
Someone is stalking her and has destroyed her reputation in her work community. Sam and his friends, Gerard and Henry, will protect her with everything in them. The stalker is getting dangerous and they set up a plan to catch him.
Mystery. Sex. Shifters. And second chance at love. At first the story felt rushed but keeps you turning until the end.

I really enjoyed reading this. A sweet and spicy novella that was packed with steamyness and some good old fashioned shape-shifters. I would read this again, and it would be great for a quickie read pick-me-up. I liked the characters and the story line. The husband was a good addition, never really thought of something like that and I really enjoyed the by play between them. There were emotions too, and that definitely kept this from being just smutty. The ending was great and everything that was in between was good too. Could've been longer but I still enjoyed it all the same. I'm definitely interested in the series now and will keep an eye out for it. BTW, this was an Ellora's Cave freebie, got me hooked too. :) Enjoy!

I loved Lisa and Sam's story. Both are feline shifters originally from Middlemarch. Lisa is a widow who had made a new life in the city with her human husband. Now that he is gone, she is feeling lonely and thinks she might finally be ready to date again. Her work as a graphic artist keeps her busy but she is ready to get out a little more.

Sam has traveled the world as a young man. First, working at a cattle ranch in Australia and participating in rodeos and then to England where he did dressage events. Finally, he joined the army with some shifter friends from New Zealand. Now he has returned home and is trying his hand at raising and training horses.

Lisa is visiting Middlemarch and attends the Inagural Singles Ball with her friend Janice. When Lisa catches a glimpse of a sexy butt, she is mortified to realize it belongs to a man who she babysat when he was a child. Sam definitely doesn't need babysitting now, but he too young for her, right? Sam has been in love with Lisa for years and can't believe his luck when he sees her at the Ball. Finally, he will get a chance to woo her like his cat wants. But will he be able to convince her that their age difference doesn't matter?

There is much more to this story as Shelley has thrown in a set of twins who are out to play a "game" with Lisa that will eventually turn deadly. Will Sam and his army buddies be able to protect Lisa from the danger headed her way?

Talked into attending the Inaugural Singles Ball in Middlemarch by her sister widowed shifter Lisa meets and is attracted to fellow shifter Sam who with his sister she used to baby sit. They dance and she ends the night in bed with him. Agreeing to meet again she invites Sam to be her escort to a function she is to attend. Arriving home her feline senses tell her someone unknown has been in her home she phones Sam and he with two shifter friends the next morning and set about securing her home. Notes, flowers and gifts start arriving but not enough to go to the police until in a phone call the stalker states that he will continue. Lisa and Sam get closer amid the stressful situation. A Middlemarch Shifter romance with intrigue to relax and enjoy.

Oh My! She used to be his babysitter at 7 years older than him. But even when he was 10 years old he knew that he loved Lisa and that she was his mate! Lisa knew that she felt something special between them but her mate? Seven years younger? Surely not! These two feline shifters don't see each other for many years during which she's been married and widowed. When she goes to a shifters ball and locks eyes with a handsome man little does she realise that it's Sam. He's back after serving in the military and he's back to claim her but there is someone who isn't going to let that happen if they have anything to do with it. Danger lurks and Lisa's reputation lies in tatters. Who is it and why? Shelly Munro has excelled herself with this suspenseful romance. This is the second book in the series. They can be read as standalone books. I haven’t read the first book and wasn’t confused at all. Lisa Jordan lost her husband 2 years ago and she is ready to move on. While attending Middlemarchs’ annual singles ball she runs into Sam. He is much younger than her but she can’t help the attraction she feels towards him. Sam has known for awhile that she was his mate. He just needs to convince Lisa that they are meant for each other. There is someone else who wants Lisa as well. When things don’t go as he wants things get interesting. Will Sam and his friends be able to protect Lisa and figure out who is after her? This is a great read. There is mystery, romance, danger, and more. I didn’t see the twist coming in this book. It was a great addition to the book to make it different. I love the characters and look forward to hopefully reading more about them. Great job Shelley. I have added the other books in this series to my TBR list.

I’m a big fan of Shelley Munro’s stories with her paranormal and contemporary romances she can’t do no wrong. This story starts of with these horrible twisted privileged twins decide to play a game and not a very nice one at that which involves Lisa. Lisa is a graphic designer a shifter and a widow, she meets the man that Sam is now and sparks fly but Lisa used to babysit Sam. Sam has loved Lisa for a long time she is his mate but there is a stalker and he’s after Lisa so Sam needs to protect Lisa and catch this stalker before things get too dangerous. I loved this story it’s the best one of Shelley Munro’s stories I’ve read so far and I can’t wait to read more. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Sam has been in love with Lisa since he was 10 years old. He knew she was his mate, when she was his babysitter. When he was 16 he went off and traveled and then went into the army.
They meet at a ball for panther shifters, and he convinces her to give him a chance, he doesn't care that she is 7 years older, he is 25 and a man on his own for 9 years, she is his mate.
She agrees to date him. But she has a stalker.
Join them as they grow closer and she tries to survive her stslker.
As with all Skelley's books this one is a hit.

Holy hotttttt!

This book is steaming hot. 2 shifters, a younger man/ older woman relationship and a crazy stalker makes a great book. Like Sam Lisa is a big cat shifter. He's known that she is his mate for years but stepped back when Lisa married her late husband. Their attraction is undeniable but Lisa is worried about the age difference. When a crazy stalkers follows Lisa and gets out of hand Sam steps in to protect her. The storyline is awesome with quite a bit of suspense. This is book 2 in the Middlemarch Shifters Series and addicting. I could not put this book down. Awesome read!

An exceptional enjoyable read! It is a fast pace paranormal romance that is action-packed with danger around every corner, violent suspense, humour, and lots of steam. Amazing storyline with lots of twists and turns, it moves along at a brisk pace, and is emotionally deep. This is an on the edge of your seat read; the plot is consistent, engaging, and will grip you from beginning to end. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is book two in a series about Feline shifters and takes place in New Zealand. This story about Sam and Lisa, both shifters who re-unite at a dance. I don’t think the title really fit because there really isn’t that much difference in their ages even if she does. No one else sees it that way. There is good chemistry between all the characters and a well written story for them to participate in. I would recommend this one in spite of the title.

2.5 stars. I received this free with books two other books, otherwise I woud have stopped at one. This book doesn’t seem to follow sensibly in the series. It didn’t make sense to me.

This book was better than the first I read, but still lacking the ability to draw me fully in. The stalker was the most interesting part of the book and kept me reading, although I skimmed through most of the middle. I was more interested in where she was going with the stalker than the relationship between Lisa and Sam. I did like Mrs. Humphries.

One more to go, but I won’t be looking at more of Ms Munro’s books.

Loved this!
I must admit to being a tiny bit biased because it is set in New Zealand (I live here, lol)

This story has all sorts, Romance, Intrigue, Terror, HEA and Shifters. WooHoo, what more can a girl want, or ok a Nana. But it really is the sort of story to appeal to a broad spectrum of readers.

Shelley Munro, you have done it again. Awesome!

Age Doesn't Matter

I liked this story. It was a different take for Lisa to get advice from her deceased husband. Then having her drawn to Sam, who she babysat for as a teen, was an interesting storyline. The attraction just couldn't be denied. As a grown man the age difference just didn't seem to matter. They really bonded when she needed protection from a stalker.
