It's not really a typical Namor story, they changed a lot of his personality to fit in with teenagers more, and while I don't like it when they mess with the character's I've come to know and love, I found myself not hating this series. Actually enjoying it!
This volume follows a young Namor meeting a young surface dweller and growing into his young adult years. It establishes his relationships with family, friends and the surface world well. As well as touching on how the Atlanteans view the surface world and it's people.
It also leaves you with quite the cliff-hanger! What will happen to Namor's heroic yet comedic friend Bobo? Read the next to find out.
As I said, this really isn't who Namor is, he isn't an angsty teenager. He's an angry prince who sees himself as the greatest thing to walk this Earth. He has one mood- anger.
He's my Pissy Bitch Prince and I love him for it. But I still didn't hate this volume.
