As I said in my last review, this is more of a 3.5 star review, considering the drastic change in character type for Namor, but I am still enjoying this.
Watching Namor stand up to the members of the royal guard and assert himself gave me hope for the further issues in this series. Hope that he'll become the pissy bitch I've come to know and love.
Another interesting aspect was his interactions with his surface dwelling female counterpart for the story (which they are obviously making a love interest). He is a little chauvinistic despite his family having several prominent female powers (I mean he is royalty after all), which is true to his actual characteristics in some respects.
All in all it's still an interesting story, but it's a bit juvenile for Namor and it has a lot of overused cliches when it comes to romance, which is a defining part of that story. (Which, again is uncharacteristic of Namor.)
