Deborah McClatchey's Love Bites is a fast, gripping read that's so much fun I read it in one sitting. The book contains nine short fictions about love at first sight. Like all memorable love stories, expect some bumps: the course of true love never runs smooth.
Nevertheless, remember Shakespeare's question in "As You Like it": Who ever loved that loved not at first sight? This deft and droll collection provides some unique and touching exemplars of what happens when we fall head-over-heels.... and lives suddenly change.,
This book laces love with threats -- secrets, fears, jealousies, wrong roads taken or words said -- but you'll root for the lovers. I did.

Those were such wonderful stories! Love at first sight, powerful, impossible to resist, and yet sometimes, when it intermingles with jealousy, mistrust, misunderstanding, oh then it can go so horribly wrong. And still there is a hope, always.
Those lovely stories give us delightfully different angles, while providing us with wonderful characters to love and follow and great storylines to enjoy.
