I've been thinking about picking up archery, so this was a good book to read. I hadn't thought that much about how improving your fitness can improve your shooting, so it helped. I liked the suggested exercises, with steps and photos.

This book was actually quite eye-opening. I remember that I had been having some problems with holding my draw for longer periods of time, and also from front arm could be pretty shaky. My coach then recommended the book to me after pointing out one of the major factors of what was wrong, and that was that I was weak. This book really helped guide me in ways of how to get a stronger base, be able to hold at anchor longer, and also have a more stable aim. The sets of instructions on the correct ways to do the exercises and how many you should do. If anybody is having the same trouble with what I had been going through the refer to Part 6: Weighted Strength Exercises. I would strongly recommend this book to young and rising archers who might physically be having trouble with drawing, have a shaky stance, or might have other similar problems. Also, I would ONLY recommend this book to high school-aged archers and above. This is because children need to let their skeletal structure develop before they start putting on muscle.

Intelligently written to include all forms of archery

Well written. Included pictures were helpful. Touched on all types of archery (target, field, counting, 3D) and gave examples of workouts based on skill level.

I enjoyed the workout routines, break downs of the exercises and tips. Quick read and useful information throughout.
