If your whole circle has secrets, is that really your circle? And if you think that pain is love, why do you hate when they hurt you? If your blood can't keep it real, do they go in the dirt too? Sometimes revenge on your enemies takes patience... Then is patience still a virtue?Avion is married to who he believes will absolutely without a doubt be there forever. He's friends with who he knows for sure will ride for him whenever. When he crosses paths with his high school crush, he had so much he could tell her- but she had been hurt so many times that she was overly careful. In matters of the heart, physical attraction only serves as a daily introduction. Once introduced to the person, you must then deal with them, their spirits, their personalities, them as a person. Oftentimes, the person hates the person they're dealing with. Avion learns the true value of the word "love," and just why it can't be tossed around lightly.Sharo learns that even though she had been hurt in the past and felt like she would never need another man, that it was ok, and always going to be ok. No matter how angry or upset, or how much of an independent woman she was, no matter how thick of a shell she had wrapped around her heart, she still had to realize that in a world full of hatred... Thick Girls Need Love.
Couldn't believe that ending. Author's imagination was off and running. Nothing positive happened to anyone. Depressing. I kept reading expecting at least a rainbow.
I've read a lot of David Weaver's books and this was nothing like the rest of them. It was all over the place and didn't flow well. I think it could've been better
the only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 is bcuz i wish the book was just a little bit longer. this was a good story though. everyone that betrayed Avion was dealt with. it was sad that Avion lost his life as well, but it was for a good cause. he gave his life so Sharo and her girls could keep theirs. i feel like Dot got was he deserved bcuz Avion was nothing, but good to him. i can’t believe that Lawanda really left him like that, but her karma caught up to her as well. i was hoping Sharo and Avion would end up getting together, but not all books have a happy ending.

I was browsing the Kindle unlimited library and came across the title. I thought that out would be a book of "feel bad for thick women because they can't get a man" type of book but it wasn't. I loved every chapter. I loved this book so much that I have to find out what happens next!!! David, keep writing!!! I love your style. Can't wait to read more from you!!! Keep doing what you do!
I have had this book a few years & I believed it was free read.. I am an avid reader that is very aware of horrible editing & had Too many story lines that added to the confusion! This was written bad with too unfinished story lines, not even True possible scenarios of Street life. Sometimes books are written with absurd ideas & unbelievable situations this book did all that & would just dropped the present scenario without completion.
Now Davidddddd!!! Why would you end that book like that 😫!!! Omg!! I really thought a happy ending was coming but it WAS NOT.. Lol but no it was a happy ending for some of the characters to me cause they deserved every bit of what they got!!
This was a quick and cool read!! The betrayal and backstabbing in this had me reading so fast cause I had to know what was next!! My question though is was that end or could it possibly have a follow up??
I originally chose this book to read as another glimpse into David Weaver's mind on a different level, and WOW... Did I get what I asked for and then some! It was like seeing the movie of every word I read in my mind. I can honestly say if this book were to ever come out as a movie, it would be a must-see classic in no time.
I couldn’t put this book down. I started reading at 10 pm and it’s now 1 am and I am hoping I can find a part 2. Totally unexpected and surprises throughout. My favorite author has done it again!
Man o man talk about a story . I didn't expect it to go that way , keep your friends closer than your enemies . Talk about a ending , I will be reading more from this author .
Sharo and Avion shared the best romance! Although the devil, Dot, was right there lurking the while time!
Dot had been envious of Avion since they were younger. Dot treated Sharo like crap from the beginning knowing how deep Avion cared for her.
Sharo denied herself happiness for so long partially due to the way her mother and the men in her life treated her. I'm happy that this want the story where the children continue to witness physical and emotional abuse until tl they are grown. It would have only allowed for the vicious cycle to continue.
This was definitely a WOW read. It also had a life lesson that I liked about the storyline. I hate that Sharo had to go through so much to finally find the love that was right in front of her face the whole time, only to lose it in the end. Avion was truly an upstanding guy. I just hate the way it ended for him. Dot and Lawanda got what they deserved, so no love was lost for them. Great job Mr. Weaver.
I love David Weaver booms and I am excited you are back at writing and getting back in the game. However this was not pone of mg favorite books. Yes I k ow urban lit can be violent. But the violence against women, the belittling and degrading and violent sex crime just turned me off completely. I finished the book. Surely wish Dot would have met an even worse fate. I look forward to more of your work and cannot wait for BRS 4.2
This story was great. I was intrigued from beginning to the end. Sharo was a strong woman. I couldn't stand Dot for the way he treated her. He was grimey and I was glad he got dealt with. Lawanda was wrong for the cheating and deceit. I couldn't stand Kendyon but that's what she bet trying to find a baller. Avion was a great person that didn't deserve what he went through. Your so called friends will have on you secretly. Great Job
this was a good book had me wanting more I just was so mad the way Sharo was being treated, no woman deserves that. dot is what you call a true nigger someone was helping his punk ass and he steal from them and mistreat the mother of his kid, so he showing his daughter that is how men suppose to treat women. although Avion had his own business his greed and sorry wife caused him his life. I wish him and sharo could have been together
Omg!!! This was so good you have got to read it. That old saying what's done in the dark always come to the light was true with Avion, Dot, Lawanda, and Sharo. Just a teaser I'm glad Sharo finally tried standing up for herself, I'm glad lawanda got her just desserts along with dot just wished it was a different outcome for avion. Be careful who you trust.
Boom you blew that up brother wow I'm all smiling and sugar ......This book was all that and a bag of chip ....Gifted storyteller that you are ....this was what defines a great writer love the characters nasty thot ass lawanda even gets her props ..... from cover to cover entertaining drama I LOVED it
So much betrayal & deceit was in this storyline. Really enjoyed what I read but the ending left me so empty & wanting more. Left wondering what happened to Lawanda, Sharo & the kids. Was Avion really shot, just so open & wanting more. Must continue this storyline with a deeper closing.
You should be ash ashamed of yourself, this book was pure garbage. If you didn't have anything to writeable worth reading keep your thoughts to yourself. Leo Sullivan this book is Trash with a capital T. Did you readp this before you allowed this author to disrespect full figured women like this. Smh
I loved this book. The characters caught me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down. I'm am so ready for part 2!! The story between Sharo and Avion is my favorite part of this story. This is a great read!!:-)
Loved it wasn't what I expected the end to be , it felt like real life cause I have seen this happened in every life . I hope there is a part 2 to Thick girls need love
Of course I'm a big Zane's fan lone all his books trying to get more of his books thank you.
This was a great easy read. Lots of drama but it kept you wanting more. I finished it in two days. My first time reading David Weaver. I will be reading more from him.
I am a David Weaver fan but whom ever edited this book needed to try it again. I liked the story line (other than Sharo appearing to be weak from events in her life) but it was a hard read with all the errors. I felt like I was editing it as I was reading it.
As always his books are fire. I read this one in one day. Money can make a friend turn on you real quick. Money can make your spouse turn on you also. Great story. I highly recommend this book.
