This is book four of an alpha billionaire romance series by USA Today best selling author Sky Corgan.
Piper Gravatt thought she had a perfect life. She had just graduated from college and was about to marry the man of her dreams. Then it all went to hell.
Dark circumstances led to even darker desires, and there was only one way to bury her pain. Her new motto: Never fall in love. Never give yourself over completely.
Life is bleak except for pleasure. And there's only one place that Piper can go to get what she needs to survive. Club Fet, where the men are hot and the acts of lust are unconventional.
Being discrete doesn't always work, though, especially when paths cross in all the wrong places. Powerful men lurk in the shadows and one, in particular, is determined to destroy everything that Piper is.
Torn by Sky Corgan was a great book. Many things havent been going Piper's way as of late. Piper enjoys diving into her dark desires at Club Fet. Little did she know her private life and Club Fet life would cross paths. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Sky Corgan.
This is the next instalment in this series where we share Piper’s torment of whether or not to tell Holden about his mother’s illness. Piper has made a promise, but doesn’t feel comfortable about it. Her confusion makes her confer with Earl and Joe, but they give her conflicting viewpoints. Ann confesses that Holden has seen a lot of death for his age – his younger brother, his father and soon her. But even though they are very close, she wants to live her life to the full, which is the reason she won’t tell Holden; if she did he would turn her into an invalid and take away her sense of purpose – nevertheless Ann still wants to spend as much time as she can with her son. Holden is invited to lunch, but his anger continues to be directed at Piper and her inadequacies and the situation becomes so untenable that Piper cannot conceal her emotions any longer and confronts Holden. Holden is both shocked and angry at the news and only cruel words leave his mouth when he confronts his mother. Piper feels guilty for betraying Ann’s trust, but knows telling Holden was the right decision. Piper tries to console herself at Club Fet to no avail; all she can think about is Holden and how he has disrupted her life. Meanwhile, Holden too is drowning his sorrows and eventually comes to the conclusion he owes Piper an apology. When Holden turns up at Piper’s front door in an inebriated state, he makes it clear he has come to stay the night - and finally there is no denying the depth of feelings each have for the other. It will be interesting to see how Piper and Holden’s story moves forward in the next instalment; as always the author does well to keep us readers on our toes. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I received this for an honest review. I am loving this series. Each book keeps getting hotter and hotter. This is not a standalone so please read previous books first.
I love Ann, but as we know from the pervious books she is dying with cancer. This breaks my heart. Piper is really liking Ann. Hearing what Holden has been through is heart breaking and now Ann does not want her so to know. This has to be really hard on Piper. She not only lost her father but she also has lost her mother. So to ask this of her has to be hard. Piper can put herself in Holden’s place.
Holden’s attitude is not any better. No matter how much Ann wants her son to like Piper it just does not appear to be happening. Things get hot and heated and not just in a sexual way. He disrespects his mom and he disrespects Piper.
The bond between Piper and her stepbrothers is growing. She is even seeking advice from them. It is like the healing process had started between these three.
Designation: Part 4 of a Serial, Not a Standalone, Includes Cliffhanger
So TORN 4 is a 53 page novella that picks up right where part 3 left off. Piper has just learned that Ann is dying and she is sworn to keep it a secret from Ann’s soon Holden. She doesn’t know why Ann wants to keep it a secret and since Piper knows how painful it is too lose a parent she doesn’t understand why Ann would want to put Holden through that. So Piper tries to tell Holden to not be so hard on his mother without telling him why, but he doesn’t get the hint and she blurts out Ann’s secret before she can stop herself.
So in one moment she has alienated Ann, by sharing her secret and pissed off Holden.
Another cliffhanger! As much as I love this story, I want more! I am on the edge of my seat to see what happens next between Holden and Piper.
I love this series, and I do not know how I am going to wait for Part Five. Ann has asked Piper to keep the secret that she is dying from her son, but Piper ends up telling him. When Ann tells her to leave, does it mean that she is fired.? Holden goes to a bar and gets very drunk before showing up at Piper's house to apologize to her, but that gets them in a very compromising position. I have no idea what is going to happen next, but it makes it very difficult to wait to find out. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review. This is an excellent series and excellent book. You do need to start with Part One though and read them in order.
Sky gave us a little bit of everything in Torn Part 4!
There were time that I wanted to slap Holden silly, I wanted to say "Yeah you go Piper, tell him!", wanted to cry for Anne, and times that were hot, sexy, and steamy...
The whole gambit of emotions in this one. I can’t wait to get my hands on Part 5 of Torn!
Thanks for your excellence you have bestowed on us Queen Sky, Queen of Dom's!
Another great book written by Sky Corgan. This part of the Torn series has Piper undecided on whether to keep a secret she is given by her employer to guard. Piper agrees to not tell anyone but finds it hard when Holden not only angers her but also is rude to his own mother, who only wants the best for him. Thanks Sky! The next installment has me eager to see what else you have in store for these characters. An ebook copy was given to me for an honest review

I'm completely torn so far. If what is happening to the mother is true then I will be completely sad and that's not what I look for in these type of books. I'm hoping that it's all a ruse and the ending takes a dramatic twist and it's all a set up. If not I'll be very disappointed.
I'm dying waiting for Holden and Piper to "figure things out"! The tension is palpable between these two and the drama of Ann... it's like waiting on an explosion! Really looking forward to seeing where this story goes.
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Sky Corgan has weaved yet another amazing story that is addictive, enthralling, and emotional. Ms. Cogan hooks you from the very beginning and keeps you wondering what will happen next.
This is a great series. There is some real drama in this episode. All the main characters seem to be angry or upset by something. The story line is captivating, and I am eager to read more.
Got this book as an arc in exchange for an honest review. The story of Holden & Piper continues...things become more complicated. And Holden is kind of an ass...but the cliffhanger ending...Wowzers! I can't wait for more.
Wow this series is getting good. I love how much they hate eachother. It's gonna be really intense between them. I'm sad for piper though. I'm sure Ann will forgive her.
Piper Gravatt's life has just been turned upside down. Her mother is gone and now she has had to come back to take care of her two step-brothers as there is no one left for them. Piper holds so much resentment towards them as now she needs to start over. She is given a job by Ann Longworth to help her out whenever she needs someone around the house and to take her to appointments.
Luckily Piper has found an escape at the local BDSM, Club Fet, where she first meets him.
Holden is not the man you think he is. Underneath his cool exterior is a man bent on control and getting what he wants and right now he has one goal - to get rid of Piper. How far will Holden go to get what he wants?
Will Piper be able to save herself or will she lose everything once she realizes what is at stake?
This was such a good book and right from the beginning I bonded to Piper and her story.
Piper was such a great character as she was at such odds with herself and I found she grew up so much in this book due to her talks with Ann. Piper had so many resentments towards her brothers at the beginning of the book and I really understood why. Yet as Piper and Earl began to communicate more the two formed a strong bond and I loved reading the change.
I also really liked the relationship between Ann and Piper. Ann really needed an independent friend and as the book goes on you understand why. I loved that Piper would never take advantage of Ann, no matter what she was accused of.
I hated Holden through almost the entire book. He was such a controlling ass and I honestly was so shocked at the things that he did to Piper. I couldn't believe how far he went to try and get her to submit to what he wanted. Every time I thought he was changing he would do something that would just show how much of a jerk he really was. I did understand why he was afraid to let anyone get close to him as he was losing everyone.
I wasn't surprised by the ending and I was happy with the ways things turned out as it showed the growth with the characters. Although I definitely would have liked a little more at the end about the brothers and how they were doing!- Rebecca
