Theological Reflections: Meditations on Faith & Reason

Rate this book
This anthology offers readers an opportunity to consider various theological and religious issues presented in a short, convenient, and accessible format by two seminary faculties. There is something here for everyone. If some readers need reassurance in some of the time-honored truths that Catholics hold dear, this volume presents articles that can reaffirm those truths with renewed conviction. If other readers feel the need to be challenged in their understanding of the faith, several articles will show them new avenues that the typical lay person rarely explores. If other readers would like to investigate different aspects of spirituality, a number of articles can plant the seeds of serenity and profound prayerfulness in their lives. If still others would like to consider vocations, several chapters offer guidance, encouragement and strategies to approach the issue. The volume assumes no prior theological training, nor does it require the reader to follow the chapters in any particular sequence. The bite-sized chapters do not require any significant commitment of time or energy, but just might spark further interest in a topic. Sections include Biblical Matters, The Splendor of the Human, The Summertime of the Soul, Spirituality, Liturgical Life, Life, Death and Morals Along the Way; and Hearing the Vocations.
