I liked this story but it definitely could have used some fleshing out. There were a few things that were mentioned that needed more of a backstory, like Nate's life pre-Avery. It seems that his life wasn't good but nothing about why. And what was the story with Nate's ex? I would have liked more explanation of why they split. I did like Avery and Nate and would have enjoyed more of just the two of them.
