Deborah Bladon had never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She was a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you could often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan was definitely her second home.

She cherished her family and believed that each day was a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.

I tried to get into this one, I really did..but truthfully the story bounced around a lot. There were a lot of details that just weren't necessary to the story. One minute I was coasting along getting into the moment, and BAM! another tangent started. It felt a bit like a roller coaster ride.
I don't like to be all negative, and I do feel that this had the potential to be a great story; but it just didn't float my boat.
I am sorry to keep this short, I just am really low on time...Review to come later...hopefully! ;-D

This is the first book from the author that I don’t really enjoyed so much. This is a old book though…. But even though I don’t really enjoyed it, i still read it till the end😌

The story starts with the heroine working at a lingerie store that apparently the hero is the owner. One day the hero goes to his store and saw the heroine working. He was blown away because it was love at first sight and a strong pull he felt between them…

The story it’s a slow burn… not too slow though. It has little unnecessary childish drama but not too annoying though. Safe one… don’t worry lol.

What I don’t like about the book:
1. It started with the hero likes the heroine but also was not really sure about wanting her. So he didn’t quickly go after her… it’s so annoying to read the hero go back and forth about his thoughts about the heroine.
2. He already wants the heroine but he goes to the s3x club and wants to have s3x with someone else to forget the heroine😂 He didn’t actually have s3x with someone else though and end up going home… but still why you even go there when you know you wants the heroine more than anyone else😂
3. IT ANNOYS ME SO MUCH WHEN I READ THE HERO THINKS ABOUT HIS PAST WITH SOMEONE ELSE COUPLE OF TIMES😂 LIKE GET OVER WITH YOURSELF…. WE KNOW YOU USED TO BE A WINNER WITH WOMAN BUT DO YOU HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT COUPLE OF TIMES? ONCE IS ENOUGH😂😂😂
“Any other night I might have bought one, or both, a drink. I'd listen to them tell me about their lives and the I might have bought one, or both, a drink. I'd listen to them tell me about their lives and the minutes, I'd be fucking every last ounce of stress in my body away.”
Not cute author😒😒😒
4. He brings the heroine for the first time to pleasure her (not have s3x though but pleasure her when they weren’t officially dating but still why hero) to his hotel and to the exact room that he always brings his past girlfriends or fvck buddy… Afterwards he knew he screw up and he made a mistake but why even do that when you said you want the heroine so bad more than anything? Jerk.
5. The hero and heroine both used to be a manwhor3 and a womanwhor3 😂😂

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGERS: S3x club, little bdsm, death, depression, bad mother and hospital.

‼️‼️‼️SAFE ROMANTIC HOT LOVE STORY

‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING

‼️‼️‼️NO SEPARATION

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE BILLIONAIRE ALPHA MALE. Not over the top though…

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE is what i liked most here. The heroine is a talented violinist artist since she was a child, she can sing and have a great melodic voice and bilingual… She can speaks Italian. I love it when the heroine has great talent or can do other great things… She’s very beautiful and have many man really liked her…

sometimes it can be boring if you read a heroine character with no talent or can do something special😂

‼️‼️‼️DUAL POV

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS 32 years old and the heroine is 20 years old but in a couple of days she turns 21 years old.

‼️‼️‼️LOCATION: I forgot the exact location though. It was between chicago or new york lol.

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO WANTS THE HEROINE SOOO BADLY…

“I've never known anyone like her. I'd never tasted anything more delectable than her body. She's unlike any woman I've ever taken to the hotel.”

“I know myself well enough to know when one taste won't be enough. It would be that way with Isla. I felt that the moment she turned to me at the boutique and looked up into my eyes. She has the power to wreck a man, to drive him to his knees in pathetic desperation. I doubt she even realizes it yet. She's blissfully unaware of the impact she had on me.”

“The moment we kissed last night, I was lost to it all. To the need to know her, the hunger to be near her, and the constant and always present desire to fuck her.”

He even bought a big bathtub when the heroine came to his official place because he wants her to enjoy herself😏

And once he kissed the heroine and began to have a relationship with her, he never goes back to the s3x club or the hotel room….

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS EX FVCK BUDDY FROM THE HERO SHOWS UP THREE TIMES BUT NEVER FROM THE HEROINE THOUGH….

And it was not too annoying either the way the woman shows up. Once it was about talking to the heroine about wanting to introduce him to someone she knew and second it was at the s3x club and third lastly it was when the heroine accidentally meet her at a restaurant….

‼️‼️‼️NOT MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO AND HEROINE…. JUST A FEW.

“Boyfriend. The word catches my breath in my throat as a tight knot forms in my gut. Naturally she'd have a boyfriend. Any man with a brain in his head would claim her for his own the first chance he had. It's more than likely some college kid with a perpetual hard-on, who doesn't give a shit about anything other than blowing his own load. Whoever he is, I doubt like hell he is giving her everything she needs or wants.”

"I will punish you if you opened this dress to show another man this. Tell me that didn't happen, Isla. Tell me who you showed this to and I'll kill him with my bare hands."

‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES😏😏😏😏😏🥵🥵🥵THE HERO KNOWS HOW TO MAKE THE HEROINE FEEL SO FREAKIN GOOD😏😏😏😏

‼️‼️‼️DRAMA WITH OW AND OM BUT NOT TOO ANNOYING AND NOT TOO MUCH…. The om is not exactly a boyfriend, just a guy the heroine meet but quickly goes away cause the hero saved her…

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS PUSHING AWAY FROM BOTH LIKE ONCE BUT NEVER TOO MUCH AND NOT TOO ANNOYING….

‼️‼️‼️NO VIRGINS

‼️‼️‼️THE CHEMISTRY is strong but not too strong and not too romantic in my opinion… It just not enough😂

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING….

Married and pregnant.

👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽 IF YOU'RE BEING MEAN AND NEGATIVE ALREADY WITH A WARNING AND NOT BEING WISE TO ME, I WILL NOT ENTIRELY READ YOUR COMMENT AND REMOVE YOU EASILY AND FAST. I DO NOT TOLERATE NEGATIVE COMMENT SO KNOW YOUR PLACE, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I’m writing my disclaimer again here cause many negative people still don't get it or still be stupid enough not to understand my POV when I already write it so many times before. So here I am writing it again to you beautifuls human being😁😁 WHEN YOU READ MY LONG OR SHORT REVIEW, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT WHAT I LIKE ABOUT A STORY AND CHARACTERS RIGHT... IF YOU DON'T KNOW THEN HERE IT IS: I LIKE A BOOK WITH VERY POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE, NO CHEATING, AND PLEASE NO MANWHOR3, NO MANY PUSHING AWAY, NO DOORMAT HEROINES, NO MANY OW DRAMA, NO S3X SCENE WITH SOMEONE ELSE. AND SAFE ALL THE WAY AND A HAPPY ENDING. Something that I don't like it very much if the hero or heroine have a crazy fvcked up personality and likes. Example: killing someone and let the heroine watch it all and push the heroine to lick all the blood of his victim and made her have to eat the meat of humans. and fvcks many woman in front of the heroine while telling her he loves her. I DON'T LIKE THAT TYPE OF SH*T AT ALL. That's just who I am, that's what I like and I don't like on a book. Maybe you love that, but I don't. We humans are different, we think very differently from one another. You have your likes and I have mine, you have your opinions and I have mine of my own. You think it's stupid of me to love such a book or to not love a book or to hate it whatever lol, I think it's bad you think that way cause I respect people's opinions cause I know for a fact we have our differences. YOU AND ME ARE DIFFERENT FOR PETE'S SAKE. I even have my own friends or people I follow here that shows how much they don't like the book I like, I never even give them a long comment or short Comment. Cause I respect their opinions. I don't like to give people I hard time here cause life itself is already hard enough. I do respect your opinion if you say my review is bad or whatever negative things about it, but in the end of the day I will not changed my mind about what book I dislike and how my thoughts about it. You can't tell me what to do. You can give me advice but it's me who decided to know what's right for me, this is my life and not yours. Read that again. Don’t assume things about me that is not even real, just don’t. cause when you do you’re more small minded for sure. You're thinking why I'm telling you all of this when you already know? Is because you still hating on my opinions and don't understand my POV and don't respect my POV. You think i like writing this disclaimer when obviously you're an adult already? no i personally think this is unnecessary... but because there are people out there who still don't get it *rolling my eyes*. Hopefully they or the people who read this disclaimer can use a beautiful thing called a brain:) AND WHEN YOU READ MY REVIEW, READ IT VERY CLEARLY TO SEE IF I FINISHED THE BOOK OR NOT. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. AND YES ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE. BUT IF YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M WRITING, THEN IT MEANS YOU UNDERSTAND IT ENOUGH. I DO NOT TOLERATE BULLYING, NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND MEAN WORDS. PLEASE USE A WISE WORDS SO WE DON'T ATTACK EACH OTHER. SIMPLY, I DON’T LIKE TO HAVE AN ARGUMENT WITH STRANGERS LIKE YOU CAUSE I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO😚 BUT IF YOU STILL WANT TO BE AMBER HEARD KARENS THAT DON'T UNDERSTAND MY DISCLAIMER AFTER I JUST WRITE IT DOWN, THEN GO ENJOY YOUR DAY AND GO AWAY. IT'S VERY EASY FOR A HUMAN COULD DO YA KNOW. IF YOU STILL HERE HATING ME OR ANNOYED WITH ME, THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM. NOT ME PROBLEM. HASHTAGS BURN😂😂 DON'T TAKE THINGS TOO PERSONALLY ON ONLINE CAUSE WE ALL A STRANGERS, WE NEVER EVER MEET. WE'RE ADULTS HERE SO LETS BE WISER. LAST, I BLOCK NEGATIVE PEOPLE! SO GET WELL SOON TO THE HATERS. HOPEFULLY YOUR HEART AND MIND WILL BE MORE POSITIVE 🙏🙏🙏 AND THIS DISCLAIMER MAY SEEMS LIKE TOO HARSH ON YOU BUT HEY I DON'T LIKE TO SUGAR COATED THINGS. I LIKE TO SAY TO THE POINT WITH MY UNDERSTANDING AND MY OWN THOUGHTS, CAUSE THAT'S HOW HUMANS ARE. WE ARE DIFFERENT REMEMBER👍 HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!

Deborah has done it again! Haze is a whirlwind romance. You have a self controlled, success driven man who is focused on his business and let's off steam with the occasional one night stand and likes a little play time in the bedroom. But something happens when he catches the eye of one of his employees and that's one thing Mr. Foster doesn't do is cross the line with employees. But he can't seemed to get her out of head. At first it's her beauty he's drawn to but then he learns how very talented she is and he is blown away.

This was a good book. Interesting story line but a little hard to follow. The writing style of this author was different for me. It seemed all over the place. At about 65% I started to really enjoy this book. It is a standalone but I think I would have better understood some of the characters if I had read the previous books. All in all, I would definitely read more from this author and now that I understand her writing style any future read from her will probably get a higher star rating from me.

This is an awesome standalone, Isla is a hard working young lady, then one day the store owner comes into the store, she thinks he is a customer, but Gabriel Foster is setting her up, arranges for a private lingerie showing at his office, every intent to fire her, since this is against company policy. What will happen next, where will this, attraction, love, lust, great story Deborah Bladon!

Man..oh man, do I love Gabriel Foster! I've waited months for this book, and Deborah did not disappoint. I read straight through, and couldn't get enough. I've read everything Deborah has written, and am in love with her literary brilliance. Now, so looking forward to Torn, and reading about the youngest Foster brother. #lovethosefostermen

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and while it was entertaining, I’m not sure how I completely feel about it.

I liked the concept but there were too many inconsistencies for me to really love it. For me I like a book to have angst and this one had a paragraph which really wasn’t much since the omitted truth wasn’t a big deal.

Another thing I was confused about was what kind of book this was trying to be. Erotic? If so, there was no clear indication. Isla would say Sir but then Gabriel would ask her to call him by name. Then she would go back to Sir?

The story just bounced around and there were so many subplots.

I’ll certainly try this author again. Let’s hope the next book I read is better.

good read...story is told in dual POV...its sweet and super super steamy...I've read these books out of order so in one book Gabriel (32) was already married and in the other he wasn't, but he always came across as a good guy...this book shows different side to him...still sweet but a lot more of something else...the girl Isla (20) has troubles in her life that she is sorting through...despite their age difference, both make a good pair and seem to understand each other...I'm sure to read many other books by author...

Isla is working at a boutique in New York Jean she meets Gabriel. Little does she know he is the owner of not only the boutique she works for but a huge corporation in the fashion industry. He knows she is something special. Especially when he sees her at the club and her handcuffs fall out of her purse. Together they try to find a balance. Her dream is to go to Juilliard. She is a violin player and is very good. But she needs her job for now to save up so she can pay for the classes herself. He wants to make her dreams come true. This is just one more great story from Deborah Bladon.

A heartwarming surprise

I expected darker and sexier, and I got sexy. But I also got to read the first book where no one was shamed for what they wanted even when they weren't together. I enjoyed reading about a man who chose a woman, not because she was better, but because of who she was.

It was its turn to finally read "Haze"! I was eager about its release but I couldn't make the time to start reading it back then. So, not even two months after its debut, I'm here, writing these lines, still hooked by the versed writing skills of Mrs Blandon, one of my top favorite authors in romance genres. As any other book I read with her name on it, "Haze" is nothing more, nothing less than a sexy, swoony, toes-curling, passionate love story, ready to drink you and get drunk you with its captivating erotism.

"You don't strike me as the type of young woman who follows all the rules."

Isla Lane, is not what her current job makes her look she is. She is a well-playing violinist, one that earned a Juilliard scholarship so easily, a year ago, but it vanished after a tragedy in her family which made her lose her ballances of her life. With an ambition and yearning to earn that scholarship back and finally live her dream and play with the Philhatmonic of New York city, Isla has to wait until she'll officialy be twenty-one, and then she will receive the inheritance her loving grandmother left for her. No, she isn't greedy! The totally opposite I must say. Having problems in the relationship with her mother, years now, Isla only wants to end things with her, faster and once and for all. So, when she first applied to work at Fosters Enterprises boutique store, she knew that it was a matter of time to quit this job, but until then, she needed the money.

"You don't like playing games? Do I strike you as the type of man who engages in games, Isla?"

I viewed Isla as a young woman, not quite sure about herself, yet at the same time she is strong and capable to do what ever is nessacery to be made for her self-growth and afterwards, her sanity. She's down to earth, knows where she stands, occationally, and what her limits are, but yet, she wants to experiment like any other twenty-years-old woman. So, when she met Gabriel Foster, the older brother of the three boys, Gianna and Roman Foster have raised, Isla made a huge mistake. She let her nature take its course, never thinking the consequences this move of hers will bring. Smart and glib at her responces with Gabriel, having a sexy and hypnotized aura she wasn't familiar she has, Gabriel was hooked by her presence. So when she responted positive at the most forbidden rule boutique has, Gabriel was thrown into the deep waters of his desires and needs, wanted to have her, consume her, own her. Not the best response by his side but what can a man do when he is looking at her? Well,...MEN!!

"Not one of them is going to touch that body, taste it, or satisfy it the way I will."

Isla was captivated by Gabriel, she felt he was the one for her, the one who would fulfil her desires and take her to an upper level of pleasure. Yet, she knew she wasn't the first nor the last of his long list of women. She didn't want to be heartbroken again! Knowing that, she tried not to give much into what they have at the moment. Gabriel, tho, was the right opposite from Isla. He wanted her badly. Yet, their current relationship had to be professional. Who's kiding himself??? Anyway...However, he was so into Isla, understanding her bearings complitely, so he let things to flow smoother, slower in their relationship, knowing that things will take their courses when Isla is ready. I like that to Gabriel! Although he was a decade older from Isla, he had the knowlenge and maturity not many men has in this age. Truly versed at the human's body desires and the ways to please it, he always gave in and fulfil his needs with a different woman each time. But when the right moment came and he couldn't resist Isla's presence any more, that was the end of him. It was endearingly sweet to see him acting like this, so caring and protective and in the end, so vulnerable. Oh! How much I love Deborah's male characters!!!

"I don't know her. I can't have her. I need to forget her."

The story is in fast-forward. Too many circumstance followed their first encounter, some where intence and smoky hot, some where more self-connecting and some where only to attenuate the mood of the story, inviting some of the other known, lovable characters, Deborah introduced us before. The connection Isla and Gabriel have, is palpable. Like all the other couples Mrs Bladon created, both Isla and Gabriel tried to find the way to make their relationship real and strong. Each having to deal with their personal problems, both wanted to be as understanding as they can about the other's personal life and live with it. Moreover, that's the backbone Mrs Bladon's stories have. What I always enjoy when I read her books. It's the kind of books that make me relax, dream about and enjoy when I read them. Sure, "Haze" hasn't got the impact, some of you felt when you read Mrs Bladon book-series, but it has a ground, it has a sensational storytale and two main characters who I wish will see them soon enough in the other book stories this amazing author is going to give us.

"The haze disappeared when you kissed me."

Hope you'll enjoy Haze like I did!

Until next time...

Better than the book featuring Caleb and Rowan. Maybe because we are not introducing so many people in this book. They are all labeled stand alone but it is helpful to read others in the series.

Isla Lane could do better. A talented violinist, she wishes to follow in her grandmother's footsteps and have a successful career in music. Too bad one too many missteps has kept her from achieving her dream. But she hasn’t given up. As she works to reapply for school, she spends her hours at Liore selling beautiful lingerie. Then the most gorgeous man she's ever seen walks in and she does it again. How could she? Gabriel Foster, works hard and plays harder. As CEO of his family's business empire, he's in charge of Liore until his sister-in-law is back in town. And that’s where he spots Isla. The newest addition to his sales team, is beautiful and sells more than the rest of the staff combined. She does make a mistake though, one that will strip her of her job. Propositioning the boss at work was never Isla's intention. Yet, she couldn’t help herself. Now ready to face the music, she will fight for her temporary job even if it means getting close to the one man that has shaken her to the core. Gabriel and Isla are immediately attracted to each other, but crossing the boundaries of their employee/employer relationship isn't something Gabriel is ready to do. At least not until he sees her outside the work environment and realizes they have more in common than he could possibly have imagined. Another hot and intense romance by Deborah Bladon.

She's unlike anyone he's ever met. He's everything she didn't know she needed.

Right......hmmmm......I didn't finish this book.

It seemed to me like it was trying to follow in the footsteps of so many before it, but unsuccessfully. Sort of like Bared to You without so much sexual tension and errrr experiments :)

I didn't gel with the characters. I didn't feel their passion and turmoil....so the book fell flat for me.
