Just a really pleasant read about the lives of those past inhabitants of Nant Gwrtheyrn, an exceptionally beautiful place.

Was lent by colleague. I have been to Nant to learn Welsh and enjoyed it though it was quite intense. This increase d my enjoyment of the book. Some of it is really interesting especially the social history side. the bits about the workings of the quarry and the distribution of didn't really resonate, but that's just personal to me. It's interesting to think how much life has changed. What with the introduction of the NHS and how this has affected mortality. Especially enjoyed the boarding school chapter.
