Wife Me Bad Boy

Rate this book
He said he'd never marry. As if.

Lacey

Grant doesn't believe in marriage. It's just not for him. He says it's a false promise, a fairy tale, something you can't count on. So what the hell am I supposed to do? I've been in love with him for seventeen years, ever since he first arrived on my father's vineyard. I was in high school at the time, now I'm in my thirties, and I just can't get over him.

Grant

There are certain things in life that will make a man do strange things. They can even make him go against his own nature. Love is one of those things. Lacey thinks I'll never settle down. She thinks I'll never tie the knot. She has no idea of the lengths a man like me will go to for the one he loves.

Lacey thinks I'm not the one, but I'll die before I let her end up with another man.

First, let's talk about the title of this book. "Wife me bad boy"? Beyond stupid. I kept thinking there would be some cute inside joke. But no, no. They are using "wife" as a verb, and not even a very good one.

Still though, I thought, hey, I had a good KU experience last week and this one looks promising. Let's check this baby out.

Silly, silly me.

We begin the book with Grant and Lacey, who have been mutually in lust with each other since they first met when he was 21 and she was 17. 'Kay. The book starts with the wedding of their mutual friends and when Grant sees Lacey coming up the aisle in her mother's wedding dress... while she is acting as maid of honor... because it's normal to wear your mother's wedding dress while part of a friend's wedding party... he realizes that just like REO Speedwagon, he just can't fight this feeling anymore. He takes Lacey up to the hayloft, where he reveals that's time to bring this ship into the shore and throw away the oars forever... Or possibly just bang her like a salvation army drum with his monster-elephant-sized peen. Oh and he doesn't want to use a condom because he wants to "let God decide" or something along those lines and he wants her to call him "husband" when she orgasms, while he calls her "wife" because his life has been such a whirlwind since he saw her. He's been running round in circles in his mind. And it always seems that he's following Lacey, girl. 'Cause she takes him to the places that alone he'd never find.

Anyway, afterwards, Grant does his whole, "But I hate weddings!" game and reminds Lacey that it was just a one night stand.

So far you've got me. So far, I'm fully on board with this ridiculous train. In fact, most of the time, I'm up at the front of the train talking to the conductor like a romance novel version of Sheldon Cooper. But have I mentioned that Lacey is 34 years old when the story happens? Because that's going to be important when mentioning that her next step is to get over Grant. And in doing so she becomes the most spineless twit outside of a Diana Palmer novel I've read in... well... days... but we just started a new year so they were very eventful days. Lacey decides not only is she going to date someone else, but she's going to date a guy (I should mention here that this guy is a plastic surgeon) who tells her on their very first date that he doesn't find her attractive, suggests plastic surgery, then when she attempts to seduce him anyway because she's just that fucking stupid, tells her he can only get it up watching porn, then chokes the chicken in front of her.

Okay, I think, that's enough of that. Lacey is going to move on like a 34 year old woman should, by dating someone else.

Nay nay, my GR friends, nay nay. Rob the-porn-addicted-chicken-choker-plastic-surgeon gives a half-hearted apology the next day, talks her into meeting him for dinner, then... I don't even know how to believably explain what happens next. He somehow manages to trick Lacey into getting a "makeover" that is the next-best thing to plastic surgery and makes her look like the "after" photo for one of his patients using makeup and removable prosthetics, and then Lacey, the dumbfuck insecure twit that she is, buys into it, even as he constantly tells her how she doesn't measure up to his standards. I kept thinking she was going to get herself out of this, but no. No. Lacey is so goddamn fucking ridiculously worthless as a "heroine" that she can't even manage to extract herself from an obviously poisonous relationship. This guy doesn't have time to be abusive. He doesn't have time to get his claws into her emotionally. He's just an asshat from the get-go and yet when he proposes Lacey somehow convinces herself that he loves her. The fuck?!

The author repeatedly gives us pages and pages of self-serving Lacey exposition, trying to get us, as readers, to understand why she attempted to make this "relationship" work. Here's the thing. I get why women fall into abusive relationships. I understand the manipulation, the head games, the back-and-forth that abusers and users put their victims through. Not Lacey. It was literally, "Oh, Grant doesn't want me. Oh this guy who I don't even like is just awesome. I think I'll marry him even though he doesn't like anything about me."

It's not a bad relationship, it's bad plotting and bad writing. I'm sorry to say that, but that's all this was. While all this is going on with Rob, meanwhile, there's absolutely no romance happening with Grant -- just pages and pages of Lacey whining about how all her other boyfriends cheated on her and how Grant doesn't want to get married and how great Rob is even though Rob clearly does nothing to make her even think he likes her. It's all Because the Plot Says So and by the time I realized it wasn't going to get any better and Lacey was going to rely on Grant to get her out of this blatantly obvious Bad Situation, even though it was something she could have easily extracted herself from (Rob wasn't abusive and he made it pretty obvious that he didn't particularly care if she stuck around), I was nearly done with the book. Basically Grant comes to the realization that if he has to crawl upon the floor, come crashing through that door, baby he can't fight this feeling anymore all by himself, then proceeds to use his Magical Powers of Baddasserie to get Lacey out of her awful engagement, whether she wants to be or not, and schedule a wedding.

Seriously people. This isn't fun. It isn't even fun to hate. Don't pick it up. This is not a KU book that is worth your time. Lacey is the most godawful character I've read in a long time and honestly it makes me not even remotely anxious to see what else this author has on their shelf. I don't like to leave mean reviews, but weak characters like Lacey are exactly what give the romance genre a bad name. I can deal with a "magical peen" or a "wuv -- twoo wuv" mushy plot line or a deus ex machina in the eleventh hour. I cannot deal with a woman who is so galactically stupid that she can't extract herself from an engagement that she doesn't want, with a guy who clearly doesn't love her (only she's convinced that he does for no discernable reason), simply because she's got self esteem issues. I especially can't deal with reading about that woman and that other relationship for most of the goddamn book.

Screw this book, screw Grant, and especially screw that terrible excuse for a "heroine". I know I've read worse, but I still can't wait to forget this one.

A bad boy with a heart!

This is the romantic and totally hilarious love journey of Grant and Lace. First off I must say this story had me cracking up!! Grant is a definite bad boy he's musclebound he has tattoos everywhere and he's a thief. Yep he's a modern-day Robin Hood. But he's also a romantic at heart even though the story opens up with him being a complete cynic when it comes to marriage and relationships. Grant has been in love with Lacey since he was 21 and Lacey was 17. Right from the beginning they both were attracted to one another but did not make their feelings known to each other. So you know how that merry-go-round goes they tease each other they get mad with each other they make up the fight again and so on. In my opinion Lacey has the worst of it she dates fairly often and is in relationships but these men are never good for her and they all cheat on her. Grant never forgot the young girl he met at 17 and he pursued her and it was very enjoyable to read his pursuit of Lacey! I thoroughly enjoyed the story I'm so glad I took a chance on this author. This is my second book written by Chance Carter. This is a HEA story! I definitely recommend this book to you. PS Did I mention the love scenes a hot?! Lol ;-)

Really love this author's Alpha men. Enjoyed this story immensely. At times I thought Grant and Lacey were the biggest idiots, but in the end they redeemed themselves.

Having finished Chance's 'Wife Me Bad Boy' all I can say again is WOW! 'Wife Me Bad Boy' is Chance's second book this year & part of the same series, I do suggest you read book 1 first, although is't not a necessity. I love how we started off at Faith & Jackson's wedding (from 'Bad Boy Daddy') you get a really indepth idea about what marriage means to our new leading characters Lacey & Grant. Let me just say they have COMPLETE different views. Then a descision to let lust fly for the night, has Lacey look elsewhere for a man & Grant discovering something major about himself. I so wont ruin this story for you.

The dual POV's from Grant & Lacey helped make sense of certain things, on top of the flashes into their past, helped make sense of everything happening. I also LOVED how all the characters mentioned in book 1 where again playing major roles in this book, more detail about the Brotherhood helped too. A very different story from book 1, but once again it pulled at the heart strings, the twists & turns, steamy scenes, intrigued me, keeping me enthralled from start to finish. I can't wait to read what Chance writes next for us.

I received this for an honest review. I enjoy Chance Carter’s work. The first book I read of his was really good but I think this one was better. I just loved Grant Lucas in this book.

Lacey Eden was beautiful. When I was first reading about Lacey I was wondering how much I was going to like her but trust me when I say that first glance does not tell you everything. When you first read about her you might think she is weak but that is so far from the truth. She carries some scars with her that might make her a little gun shy so to speak but there are so many layers to her.

Lacey had been in love with Grant for 17 years. He took her breathe away each time she looked or even thought about him. Now here Grant was offering her one night to live out a fantasy. To throw caution to the wind. Will she go through with it? Grant is not the relationship or marrying type. He believes just keep girls as friends with benefits.

Grant has been in love with Lacey for so long, so to see her with a loser boyfriend cut deep. He knew he had lost her. Can Grant stand by and let Lacey be mistreated.

Lacey wants two things; to get married and to be loved. Can her new boyfriend give her that? Can she keep from comparing him to Grant? Will this guy fulfill her ever hope and fantasy?

Once again I have to say I just loved Grant. Do not let his bad boy attitude fool you. There is really a great guy underneath all the hardness. I love the great lengths Grant goes through to protect Lacey. He would give his life for her if needed. You can not read this book and not fall in love with him.

This was an awesome story, but of course I truly love a bad boy.

Recieved this as an ARC for a honest review.

This book for me wasn't as good as the first and was very frustrating to read, for me there are some issues: (spoilers)
* As with the first one there were again a few editing issues.
* They main characters had 17 years of attraction without any major action on either part. Wow 17 years of nothing, seems a lot of years to waste!
* There first sexual encounter was had with no protection, made the pregnancy predictable.
*The main characters kept repeating their thoughts, it was like the author doesn't think the reader could retain what was written from the previous chapter/page.
*The h went from one unhealthy relationship to another time and time again.
*I wished the h had more of a backbone, she seemed to be humiliated so many times but didn't really learn from her mistakes, it almost turned it into a DNF for me and had to make myself read it. It was so frustrating and I swear I rolled my eyes that far in the back of my head it gave me a headache.
*The H was against marriage at the start and was quite vocal on the subject but underneath it all he was a big romantic and planned the whole wedding himself, with his families help. That was nice to see.
I can't say that I hated the book but I also can't say it was a must read though it was ok. I feel the last 10% of the book is what bumped it up to a 2 star as they finally got it together and were much more likable characters then. Not too sure I have enough interest to read anymore form this author.

I said in my review of Bad Boy Daddy and I will say it again, I was leary about reading these books. I just didn't think it was possible for a decent storyline with a woman of substance to be written by a man. BOY was I wrong. Chance has such a way of writing wonderful characters with an abundance of substance, characters you can really feel a connection with. Although I felt a connection with Faith the heroine from Bad Boy Daddy, it was miniscule compared to the connection I felt with Lacey.

Grant is lost when it comes to relationships, marriage, and love. He has spent so much of his life steering clear of temptation that when it comes time to man up and claim the woman he loves as his, he completely screws it all up. He thinks he does it out of respect for the man who found him, gave him a home, and taught him how to hone his skills and help others in turn. In reality, he does it out of fear, fear that he isn't good enough, or that he will screw it all up.

Lackey is ready for her life to begin, she has waited her whole life to get married and have a family of her own. Ideally she wanted it to be with the man she has loved since the first time she laid eyes on him 17 years before. She's 34, and feeling like she needs to speed things along. The only issue, is her horrible luck when it comes to men. They treat her like crap, and the last 3 boyfriends were cheating, lying scum!! After a night of passion, on the night of her best friends wedding, with the one man she wanted above all others, she turns to online dating sites, to help her find "love". She lands a date with a well to do plastic surgeon, what could go wrong with that, right?? It turns out, everything can go wrong! The plastic surgeon, is just another jerk, who deserves to rot!

Will Grant do what his heart and sole designers and claim Lacey has his own? Will Lacey get the man she has dreamed about for half of her life?? You need to buy this book to find out!! You will not regret it! I promise!!

This was a romantic story of a bad boy scared to give up his freedom he swore to never marry and everyone knew especially Lacey who was crazy about Grant but never said so nor did he say the words to her he just wrote them to himself until he realized that the woman he loved was about to make the biggest mistake of her life and refuse to look at what she was doing to herself. Lacey Eden was seventeen when she first met Grant Lucas when her father brought him home to live with them so that he could train Grant and give him a decent life so he would not end up in prison and he made sure that Grant stayed away from Lacey even though Grant knew right away that it was Lacey but he would never go against her father and Lacey would do anything that would upset her father so she treated Grant like the brother that he acted like they learn to be brother and sister and it remained that way for another seventeen years the night that their friends Jackson and Faith got married Grant begged Lacey to have sex with him and everything seem to go down hill for her that night but for Grant he was trying his best to convince himself that it was a one night stand but it didn't work but he convinced Lacey and she went on a blind date through a dating service to move on with her life. This is a good story if you love a romance story with a few twist and turns you'll love this story. You may even get a few tears in your eyes. Adult. I received a copy for an honest review.

A Review of Wife Me Bad Boy by Chance Carter

The path to love is sometimes long and rocky - 5 stars

I was really excited to get to Grant and Lacey's story, after meeting them in Faith and Jackson's story. We knew from that book that Lacey was in love with Grant and even though the others could tell that he cared a lot about her as well, Grant was hesitant to pursue his desire. Lacey and the four guys of the Brotherhood were family for over seventeen years and since Lacey's father was the one that took Grant, and eventually the other three guys to make up the Brotherhood, he felt he owed it to Lacey to keep his desire for her unrequited.

There were a lot of laughs in this book, along with some really sad parts. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat and it was hard to put the book down once I started it. You don't have to have read the first book in the series, but you do learn things about the 'family' in that first book that pulls everything together. The plot and storyline was very well defined and easy to follow. Great second book!

I was willing to give this book a 'chance'...I soon gave up on it though. Besides the few editing and vocabulary boo-boos that I came upon within the first few pages of this 'romance', I had to back off. Which is too bad, as the opening was pretty good, overall.

There's nothing sexy or 'romantic' about Grant (a juvenile lunk of a guy), telling Lacey (a woman who is literally too stupid to live) how he's gonna' 'do her' in crude language...even if she likes him to talk dirty to her. (The dirty talk could have possibly work - for the reader - if used sparingly, with a bit of panache). Then again, the 'heroine' who is on the receiving end of Grant's foul-mouthed soliloquy has to be the dumbest, most self-loathing bimbo on the planet. Add to her resume her drunken, almost groveling behavior with a plastic surgeon who more or less tells her that she isn't good enough...well, here you have a literary disaster with very unlikable characters.

I stopped reading this train wreck immediately after the date fiasco. I did skim through the rest of the book though, hoping to catch something that would make me go back and read the book in its entirety. I only ended up cringing some more.
DNF. Deleted from my Kindle.

Grant Lucas doesn't believe in marriage, he doesn't do commitment and he thinks men accept the farce of marriage and share the same belief. His thoughts briefly waver though when he sees his best friend get married, but is it real.

Lacey has long had a crush on Grant and when he confesses he wants her she is thrilled. However he just wants her for one night only, he wants to pretend he is her husband and she his wife. She succumbs hoping for a different end result, but it blows up in her face. Hurt and needing to move on she starts dating only to have her life taking unexpected turn.

I don't know what to say on this one. Liked the beginning, was fully engaged and than Lacey becomes an idiot. Had a hard time with her choices and found I just couldn't wrap my head around it. Liked Grant a lot and there are some moments where you think okay this works, but than it derails. May try another time to see if it was just me.

Can one change their mind about things when it comes to having a partner in life or rather making sure that avenue is cut off? When if you feel what your feeling is wrong but take it a step further anyway can the consequences out way the risk? What if that risk was not only your heart but the breaking of anothers heart? Not all is easy when looking for Mr. Right in the wrong places. Yet he must let her go, but can he do the right thing and let her go? Simple may not be that simply lived.
Beautiful insight to the very heart of the fight vs what we feel.
Loved it, can't wait to read it again. Made me laugh, but hit the heart of me emotionally.

Lacey has always loved Grant. She has been looking for her happily ever after, but hasn't found it...
Grant has always loved Lacey. But he won't admit to it. Love, weddings, husband & wife will not be in his future.
So when Lacey meets Rob, even though he doesn't treat her right, she is willing to put that to the side and accept what he gives just so she isn't alone. Will things change between her and Rob? Will he finally treat her right? When he proposes marriage, she says yes. Will Grant allow this to happen? Will he let Lacey marry Rob when he knows the truth behind the proposal? Or will he finally realize that he and Lacey are soul mates and make the move he has been waiting years to make?
Read it to find out where Lacey ends up...

Grant was a hard guy to love. Didn’t believe in marriage and said he would never take the plunge. But when his best friend got married he took Lacey to the loft. Lacey had been 17 when her dad brought Grant home. And things changed. Both stubborn. Both denied the feelings they’ve felt since meeting 17 years ago. Now the stakes have changed. Lacey meets Rob, who is Keeping secrets that Grant doesn’t like. In the end, Grant takes matters into his own hands. Lacey is his and nothing will stand in his way. This book had my heart going into intoxicating dreams. What girl would ask for anything more. Chance Carter is an amazing author. I couldn’t stop reading if my life depended on it. Bravo Chance! ♥️

I did not care for the heroine. I didn't enjoy reading this very much because I was busy disliking this poor girl. Yes I know there are pathetic people out here in the real world. My disabled ass puts me in that group lol. I read to escape the real world. I don't want to dislike my heroine, even if its realistic.

Wife Me Bad Boy is an incredibly breathtaking testament to the life-changing power of love. Even if you don’t see immediate changes, it weaves itself quietly into every aspect until you can’t separate it from any part of yourself. The effect is unmeasurable by human standards because you don’t see the results until long after it has permeated every part of your heart and being. Every lost and hurting soul that is touched by love will find themselves intoxicated by its passion, overwhelmed by its intensity, and happily drowning in its generosity. There is nothing that love cannot change, and in most cases it turns everything upside down until it is finally the way it should be.

Lacey has been going through life barely feeling and running on empty emotionally. She keeps reaching out for men who never see the stunning beauty and unbelievable value in her. They never look at her or talk to her like one man that she knows she can never have. He is a part of her family, so having anything more than just a strong friendship would never work. Instead she refuses her heart and settles for second and third best. Grant has loved Lacey ever since he first met her, but because her father showed him immeasurable kindness by taking him in and changing his life, he vowed to never touch her. As he finds his thoughts betraying him, he constantly fights the desire for more. Until one day comes that changes everything. Can they go back to the way things were, or will it finally show them what was always meant to be? Sometimes we find ourselves fighting against what is so right for us because we are only used to finding what is wrong for us.

I was anxious to find out more about Lacey. She was such a wonderfully strong and supportive friend for Faith in the previous book in this series Bad Boy Daddy. I really came to love her devotion, her fierceness, and her genuine friendship. I hated to see her suffer at the hands of uncaring men, and I really wanted to see her find her heart and reclaim her life. I was also looking forward to getting to know more about the amazing men that Lacey’s father took in. Finding out that Grant secretly loved and cherished Lacey was absolutely perfect since I knew the type of men that her father took in and trained. She couldn’t have asked for a better man to show her what real love is, how valuable she is, and how she should be cherished. My heart hurt as I watched the games that people allow themselves to play with each other in order to prove a point which only ends up hurting themselves in the end.

I can honestly say that I was completely blown away by the level of literary artistry found in this book. His writing has such an intense purity that it spoke to the deepest parts of my heart that few stories ever really reach. It felt like it was written from a place of genuine experience, and I couldn’t get enough of it. I hated to see it end because there is so much more left, and I hope to see more from these amazing characters in his next book. This is turning out to be a phenomenal start to a brilliant series!

Could not finish.

Spoilers!!!! Spoilers!!!!! I reached about 50 percent of this book and I could not finish. I am assuming that at this point the author was going into the HEA, which would be empty. This book is about the worst h character that I have read about in a very long time. This character had absolutely no self respect or self esteem and she was willing to do just about anything to herself or have anything done to her so that she can get a man. Really?

Here is a character who was in her thirties who thought that the be all and the end all of her existence was to get a man, have a family and live happy ever after. All he had to do was to show some interest in her and even when she acknowledged that she did not love him, she was going to try. This was the decision that she made after a sexual episode with H and he decided that he did not want a permanent relationship. Then the h gets with a man that she met on the internet, a man who did not a man love her; a man who showed her no respect, after all she didn't respect herself. After acknowledging that she did not love this character, but, she liked him and he was her only chance at a family, really?, she allowed this man on their first date after watching porn, to jerk himself off while she was laying down beside him wanting/waiting/begging him to have sex with her. Really? Really? Then she goes to a club totally transformed into what he likes; she did not love how she looked, however, it would be okay and if she went along, then he would be able to get and maintain an erection and perhaps she will get her man and her happy ever after, really? really? really? . Then this male character allows one of his friends in the club to touch her so they could have a threesome. Really? Really?. Then we have the H bemoaning the fact that he loved the h forever; lots of repetitive, tiresome internal dialog. I was done.

I do not know what the 5 stars rating is all about. There is nothing good, funny, sexy or uplifting about this story or character. A wasted read.

I loved the first book of the series so decided to read this one and wasn't disappointed. It's about two people who clearly have the hots for each other and love each other but never truly show how they feel about each other until one of them wakes the other up and it's a wonderful story. If you want to know how it ends then you need to read it. It's filled with love, joy and some heartbreak!

Wow, this will get your heart a pumping. This is the second story for the Brotherhood (professional thieves). This is the daughter of the man that stated it all and save the four men's lives. Lacey had been in love with Grant since she was 17 and he was 21, he was the first of the boys but it was him and Lacey for a while, growing to like and be each other's friend, she helped him and the others become the men they are today. But Grant would never become the lover he wanted to be for her, because he felt it would be not right towards his respect for Lacey's father so Grant keep his love hidden for 17 years. Until the night of Jackson & Faith's wedding (book 1) where Grant took the bull by the horns and outright told Lacey its a one night thing and there will be no more and it will be a hidden secret that no one will ever know about, and they had their one night of passion unprotected and they rest you will have to find out. Most of Grants story he is so against marriage and being tied to one woman for all their lives, Lacey knows his fear but she is tired of being lonely and having boyfriends that cheat on her or like her last boyfriend where she was actually the other woman. She talks alot about what she wants in a marriage, about kids and wanting the husband to be the one man that owns her heart but that will never happen. This was different from book one but still really loved this story. Cant wait for more of these Brotherhood and their loved ones.

Grant is exactly how I would imagine any guy. He is a rough guy with an imagine of being against marriage. He has fantasized about a woman for years but never acted on it for one reason. She was considered family. She was the daughter of the man who saved him so many years ago. Until one night everything was good. Then the night of Jackson's wedding changed everything.

Lacey was just seventeen when Grant came to live with them. Now seventeen years later and she still has the same feeling that she hid back then still till this day. He was considered family. He wasn't suppose to be anything other than that right. Wrong. The night of Jackson's wedding proved a lot. That one night proved to be the turning point for both of them.

After that one night Lacey started dating another guy but she wasn't into him or so she thought. She wanted to make Grant jealous and make him see who she really was but that didn't work out or did it. Grant saw Lacey differently but the reason's were not clear at first. Would he ever realize what Lacey meant to him. Would Lacey forget her true love and marry to just forget.

There is something when you know it's a man who writes romances, it makes unconsciously the men in the stories appear more edgy, closer to reality... Chance Carter is such a good author he gives us, women, all our fantasies and happy ending without taking the true nature of alpha men! Wife Me Bad Boy, is the second book of the series. We meet the whole gang again, have updates on Jackson and Faith while discovering Lacey and Grant's story. And what a story!!!!!
Well written with an interesting plot, characters who are sexy but sweet, twists and turns that keep you hooked and a chemistry that is so hot, you might need a cold drink while you read! Lacey's dilemma will, i am sure, call on to a lot of woman and Grant is a modern Robin Hood who represents all of men's apprehensions! Fun, sweet and easy to read, this book is perfect as a mood enhancer or just to put a smile on your face! I loved it!!!!

DNF at 15%. I really tried to get into this book but the heroine was such a wimpy, sad sack of bad decisions that I just couldn't stomach it without looking on here to see if it got better. It doesn't. I'm not giving this book more of my life.

* Reading the hilarious review on Goodreads by Aarann was the best part of the book reading experience.

Please authors, listen to us. We want to like a book brooding, muscle-bound alpha but give us a female protagonist that we can respect. Don't make us want to drop kick her and then scream a warning at the hero to "Run Forrest! Run!" because that girl you're in love with is crazier than a sack of cats.

I was sent this ARC to give my honest opinion on this book.

As the 2nd book from Chance Carter... The story line of this book had potential Chance Carter , I am definitely anticipating watching his writing grow as he goes along. I already see improvements in his writing just since his last book.
We first met Grant and Lacey in Bad Boy Daddy, Grant and Lacey have such an attraction to each other, but both are so stubborn and keep making the wrong decisions .Thankfully they have such great friends that help them get where they need to be.. At times it did seem like it took forever for them to get there

Kindly provided with an ARC via the author in exchange for an honest review....

This was Grant and Lacey's book. Quite sweet really, they have both been in love with each other but Grant won't admit it !!

I like this book as it was the marriage proposal from another guy that spurred Grant to get with the programme. Sheesh, he should't have needed Rob coming on the scene to make him realise that Lacey was his HEA.....but hey sometimes ya need a push. But is it too late ?

Chance wrote a interesting and tangled web for this book. It had me hooked !!

5 "You are my till death do us part HEA !" Stars from Me x

Well done Chance.

Later peeps xx

Lacey has been in love with Grant for a long time. Neither of them have acted upon the feelings they each have for various reasons until forced to face it or leave each other alone forever. Friendships will be tested. Lines will be crossed. Hearts will be broken.

There were many times I wanted to slap Lacey silly and tell her where the heck the strong Lacey is? Throughout the story she was strong willed and then weak and when she was weak was when I disliked her the most.

The story was great and I did love the dynamics between these two.

I read this as satire, not a serious romance. I use the term 'read' loosely- it was more skimming and laughing at the horrible prose. With lines like;
'It terrified me. I had to stop him. If he put that thing inside me it would kill me. It was more like a weapon than an organ of love.'
Yup. She said 'organ of love'
and
“I’m going to wrap you around this cock, Lacey. It’s going to wear you.”
Just a little bit like Silence of the Lambs.
I know some readers loved it, but it was not for me. It's a well thought out story, but I do not find men wanting to 'wear' women hot... just creepy.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

For a new author, Chance Carter definitely has what it takes to write a story that keeps his readers captivating, intrigued, and interested. He weaves a story of drama, guilt, betrayal, want, need, attraction, lust, steamy sex, relationships, family, romance, passion, and love. If you're looking for a book that is good, fast, steamy with a whole lot of naughty thrown in, Wife Me Bad Boy is the book for you.
