Romance is exactly what this was; perfect story to read when you are needing all those warm squishy feelings. Grayson, a strong name to begin with fits the character; built like a brick house, hits like a steam engine and is just completely drool worthy... Something about MMA guys!!(drool)-- Adriana is a sizzling name that evokes colorful and cheerful thoughts which also fit her character; shady characters? Like Morrison? They make perfect villains for stories like these. Well done Ms. Love, well done.

This is the story of Grayson and Adriana, their relationship started ten years ago, but was cut by a terrible accident. They find each other again and decide to give it another try, but as always there are some complications, secrets and people full of greed that won't stop at anything to get what they want.

So Grayson was in love with Adriana when he was 18, but he needed money, and during an underground fight he accidentally kills his opponent. He feels terrible and decides he doesn't deserve Adriana and doesn't see her again. He goes with Morrison, who "helps" him after the accident, and he spends a few years fighting for him and doing whatever he wanted, until he meets a guy that decides to train him to be an MMA champion. He gets away from Morrison, but still has to pay him for leaving him. When his career is about to take off, he finds Adriana again and goes after her, they have sex and just when he thinks everything is going right, he gets a call from Morrison, who threatens him, he leaves Adriana again, thinking he is protecting her and breaking her heart again, but his coach brings them back together, only for Morrison to kidnap her and use her to force Grayson to throw a fight. Grayson ends up winning the fight and he and his friend have to go after Morrison to save Adriana, who thanks to Grayson remembers she can fight and breaks free so that Grayson can get Morrison.

It's another book where many things can be avoided if only the characters had been truthful. If Grayson had told her everything from the beginning, it would have been easier. How can he protect her by not telling her she is at risk? I liked the characters and even if Adriana gave him too many opportunities, most of the time she had her head in the right place, besides, Grayson was so sweet that I forgive her.

Good book

I liked this book. It had some drama and romance going on. A boxer with a hard past and a nurse who's heart was broken by him 10 years earlier. They see each other after all that time apart and she needs answers. I'm just not sure even at the end or years later he will be faithful. He is going to be going on a different path now.

This is actually Knockout and On the Ropes and Kissing the Canvas by Evelyn Glass. Started out a bit slow but it got better each chapter. There is a rogue bookie, blackmail, kidnapping but second chances for a decade or being away from one another because of the bookie and lies.
