An Introduction To Shadow Work: How to Accept Every Aspect of Yourself. Learn the Immensely Powerful Technique for Empowering Yourself, Loving Yourself and Building Permanent Self-Esteem.
There is an amazingly easy way to permanently transform yourself and reach permanently higher, genuinely authentic self-esteem.
In this book Glenn Smith describes the origin of the term shadow self and explains in detail exactly what this aspect of yourself is. The shadow is the part of yourself that you have hidden away from yourself and others, except it never went away. The shadow contains all the aspects of yourself that prevent you from living a life of inner peace, self-love and self-acceptance. By reclaiming these aspects back into your accepted self-image you not only feel better, like you have welcomed home long-lost children, you reclaim your brilliance, your creativity and your whole self.
Liberate Yourself From All That Holds You Back
This book contains descriptions, personal experiences and explanations to help you apply the knowledge and liberate you from all that has held you back. By first understanding the concepts of the shadow self, and then applying that knowledge in your day to day life you will become lighter, freer and feel more alive.
Awareness and Honesty Essential
The opportunity to grow beyond your wildest expectations lies within your own internal focus and willingness to look at what you find. This books shows you how. It is a powerful introduction to begin living up to your potential and realising the permanent inner peace that comes from honest self-enquiry.
This was such a simple yet profound introduction into the topic of shadow work, which is exactly what I was looking for. I felt like I got more out of it, in 25 pages, than I have in months of reading other therapeutic books. The author should create a guided journal/workbook type of companion book with a list of traits, and fill in the blank spaces where you can come up with your two examples and explore. My only wish was that it had been longer, yet really, he explained everything perfectly and succinctly, so for a basic intro, it was everything which was needed. If it's really this simple, which it seems to be, then there's no need for more.... Thankful and grateful for this book!
What a wonderful read, that was certainly the introduction I was looking for to approach shadow work. Just started researching via YouTube and book descriptions, this was an ideal intro. Thanks Glen! Fabulouso!
I feel like this book is 25 pages of the same few sentences. It’s like the author was writing a paper in college and had to reach a certain word limit so it’s all filler. This isn’t helpful at all.
I found this book to be helpful in understanding why I may be a bit stuck right now. It was an informative, quick read on a topic I will do more research on.
