"Very helpful" -- Sarah Mcdonald

"Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) develops after a terrifying suffering that involved physical or psychological harm or the threat of physical or psychological harm. Persons suffering from PTSD experience recurrences of the terrifying situation. Educating yourself with this book is something I will highly recommend to anyone particularly for people suffering from PTSD or have family members or friends suffering from PTSD." -- Ivan Jerk

"This book is a great guide for those out there trying to overcome a serious problem that they've once experienced in their lives. PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) should not be overlooked. I've known someone with this disorder, and trust me, all is not well with him. The strategies and guidelines that this book presents will surely help out with reducing the effects, but it's best to seek professional help. Still a great book though - recommended!" -- Jack Black

This came highly recommended. A good guide that does a decent job explaining & breaking down the different facets of PTSD. Highlighting the kind the reader has through workbook portions, & offering exercises & post cognitive explanations. From starting the book to ending it, the reader can compare the notes from who they were at the start, to who/where they are now to understand how long standing or complex their trauma is, & how it's altered their personality &/or behavior, & how to heal & get back through stabilization, direct confrontation & then realization. I highly recommend working with a professional (counselor/therapist) alongside this book. I would greatly recommend it to anyone suffering from the effects of anxiety or PTSD. My only grievance is the organization of parts of the book are slightly confusing.

My daughter suffers from this, and this book was helpful in ways for treatment. It explains the different types and ways PTSD can effect a person and dispels the myths involved.
