Lacey Luzzi: Expense Report -2 Body Scrubs Torture Sessions: $120 -1.5 Salt Treatments(?): $34 -Masseuse cash tip: $10 $0 (forgot envelope in pocket) -1 popsicle, 5 dilly bars, 3 pairs of chopsticks (free), half a cow (Meg): $22.42 -U-Haul/ Mailbox incident: Felony -Pain and Suffering: " Priceless" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After taking a gig with her grandfather - the Don of the Italian mafia - Lacey Luzzi has been in for a wild ride. Stolen property, rogue weddings and uncomfortable Family dinners - she's seen it all. However this time, when Carlos interrupts Lacey's sugar-induced nap with a phone call, he gives her an assignment that sends her skidding into a place she least expects: "the local spa." Despite rumors of a prostitution ring that Lacey is tasked with investigating, the most intimidating portion of the job is not the spa's head guard, a man armed to the teeth and called The Refrigerator. It's not the insanely advanced weaponry commissioned by her cousin Clay, a computer-whiz and social disaster who hasn't quite mastered the art of explosions. It's not even the suspicious Mister Kim, Lacey's new landlord, who is linked all too closely with the spa. No, what has Lacey's undies in a bunch is seeing her grandfather in yoga pants and working side by side with Anthony - a stud-muffin who is increasingly forward with his intentions. And when Lacey's ex-boyfriend shows up to her housewarming party with a shiny new girlfriend, the party takes a turn for the awkward. But at the end of the day, the thing that's really got Lacey's stomach in knots is the spa's no clothes policy in regards to the salt treatment Meg signed them up for - on Carlos's dime. As Lacey struggles to find out the truth behind the spa's uber-secret second floor, she discovers that Carlos's heart might not be as icy as she expects, and that living with her cousin isn't quite as bad as she thinks. And when the heat is turned up between Anthony and Lacey, she just might find they have to hold hands and jump... ** ** "Lacey Luzzi: Salted, is a full-length, laugh-out-loud, humorous cozy mystery with a strong female protagonist in the spirit of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, albeit one working for the wrong side of the law...""" Note: Rated a strong PG-13 for sarcasm and mild language. No graphic gore or sex.""

After studying numbers and equations in college, she realized multiple choice tests were “just not for her” and began writing books instead. She loves cappuccino foam and whipped cream and would subsist solely on sprinkles if possible. She currently lives in St. Paul with her wonderful husband and family.
Ok guys this is a review for the entire series 😅. 🎧 I did the audios (which was such a mess and highly disappointing) so I’m gonna break down this whole series without any major plot spoilers but this will have relationship spoilers and the series character progression spoilers. I wanted a good long audio series. It was my main reason for picking this up!
Overall this was.. Romcom Suspend disbelief Silly antics Mafia family- but also not really done well Over the top antics Light and mostly fun listening Cozy mystery Crazy reacurring side characters
‼️Book 1-3…. 🎧audio was good w a narrator who did voices and personalities.
The first 3 books was hard for the romance. I didn’t like that she was dating OP and that Anthony was wishy washy. I also would have liked confirmation that he wasn’t dating and hooking up w OW.
I didn’t enjoy the weird way the author tried to write a love and romance. She dragged it out way too much and not in a fun way.
😡Why is she still hooking up w her looser ex! And why is the H waiting so long and sending mixed signals for 4books??!!!
😡Also making the h pathetic isn’t attractive. She was legit in the next room while her ex he was hooking up w OW and she has seen him w a revolving door in his bed. Why is she still hooking up w him in book 3 when Anthony has told her multiple times he wants her and they have had more then one make out sess? It makes her come off as so gross and cheap w no self respect. Way to much push and pull with Anthony the H. Makes him seem like a douche.
‼️ Book 4- 🎧Audio is the same and still good! By the end we are finally getting somewhere with the romance! And FINALLY Lacy seems to be growing a bit.
‼️Book 5- 🎧HORRID! We went to VIRTUAL VOICE🫨 after having a great narrator w personality. Also the story is FINALLY getting better and better and the romance was starting to get super sweet. So I was bummed about the audio big time!
‼️Book 6- NO AUDIO AVAILABLE!!! WTF I did Alexa reading to me. What a freaking mess! Also since the romance and story where literally getting better w each book this is ruining my experience.
‼️Book 7-10- 🎧ALL VIRTUAL VOICE! 🫨 I guess it was better than Alexa reading it to me but WTF I mean this author really needs to get consistent with her audios. The story was great though these were my fav of the series. We had character growth. Super sweet romance that I loved. And we got some fun storylines and mysteries. TO ME THESE BOOKS WERE THE BEST IN THE SERIES AND WHERE THE SERIES PEAKED. Such a shame about the audios! 😭😭😭
‼️Books 11- 12- 🎧BACK TO NARRATION! So great audios But man the characters and the storylines took a plummet for me. Lacy was annoying me and so was Meg. Anthony turned into her useless husband. I mean he was head security for the mafia and couldn’t keep her safe! And Lacy was pregnant and putting herself in danger. I was annoyed. It’s not cute when you have real adult stuff happening to be acting like an immature child.
‼️Book 13- 🎧Back to ZERO AUDIO! Fucking hell!!!!!! I mean really!? And I’m over it and ready for this series to end.
‼️Overall my experience of this series was def positive and I did enjoy the majority of the mysteries and stories. I love the romance after book 4. But to much stuff dragged to long w the characters and their growth and development. The audios were a freaking mess! And had I known I wouldn’t have spent money buying the first 4! By the time the series ended I felt sad to see it go but also ready. I did enjoy watching to romance bloom and grow and then get married and have kids but like I said other factors also made my experience less enjoyable to.
Overall safe. Book 1-4 not really cause she is hooking up w her ex douche bag BF No clue is Anthony is hooking up w OW. After book 3 No OP at all.
🍭🎂ALSO SIDE NOTE BUT NO GROWN WOMAN CAN EAT ALL THAT SUGAR! IT WAS OK AT FIRST BUT ANGUGE TURN OFF WHEN SHE BECAME PREGNANT! Not cute just gross.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Lacey is tasked by her mafia don grandfather with finding out who is involved with a new prostitution place because he doesn't put up with prostitution (even a mafia don can have limits). Once again she is working with the same people and some funny things happen along with the action and mayhem. While she still isn't the brightest bulb in the box, she was a little bit smarter than in the last two. Not by a lot, but at least it is an improvement. Also, the writing in this book, while not my cup of tea, is enough better than that miserably written romance I read yesterday that it was a relief. While I found some of the humour rather meh, I actually laughed out loud once, so there you go.
Lacey still gets herself into crazy situations that can be quite hilarious, especially if Meg is involved.
Clay once again is their trusted and reliable Tech sidekick, and of course there's Anthony........ who can forget Anthony! Things are heating up with him and Lacey, jumping out of all sorts of dilemmas.
Never a dull moment with Lacey & Co. Loving this series.
A new and fresh installment of the next Lacey Luzzi. This is the 3rd book.
Armed with a new assignment from her grandfather (and head of the Luzzi Family) Lacey and her friend visit a spa, she decides to move house (for the job but also because she feels it is time) and she meets ex boyfriend Blake again. Blake is still in love with Lacey and her feelings are not clear. I was a bit miffed she was seeing him again (come on: Anthony???!!!).
Again the story is an easy read with things happening fast and in a short timeframe. Lacey gives a housewarming party where Ex Blake, a wannabe boyfriend/yoga teacher and attractive Anthony make Lacey squirming and questioning her decisions.
Sometimes I am not sure what to think of Lacey's friend Meg. She is a bit of a cartoon character actually. So it was a nice touch to have some background info about the friendship between Lacey and Meg and also about Lacey's mom. I liked the fact Lacey told Anthony more about her childhood.
Touching scenes like this bring something extra to a story. Without these moments (and for example the talk with grandmother or even Blake) the books would be lacking some warmth.
I do think there should be some clarity about Lacey/Anthony. I like their interactions but I understand why Lacey is confused about him. It is not always clear what his intentions are, but let's hope things will be heating up soon (Yummie!).
Wow! Another amazingly fun read! Lacey is a fun, hilarious & sassy character who loves dessert! You cannot go wrong with such a loving character who perseveres through anything 😀❤️
Lacey is on her second assignment to see if a local spa is a front for a prostitution ring. Not in her element at all she takes Meg with her to help. It's laughs a minute as Lacey is massaged, prodded, tweaked, & causes all sorts of accidents while trying to gather info. Clay steps in with a few of his "inventions" and then gets suckered in to see if he can receive a "happy ending". He's more out of his element now that Lacey has decided to move out on her own to try and crack the case. She invites her ex Blake & his new squeeze to her housewarming party along with the studly Anthony who is still sending mixed signals but sneaking kisses & touches when he can putting Lacey off center. Explosions, yoga, the perv van & kidnapping put Lacey & Meg in danger, but will Anthony come to her rescue and will Lacey have enough information for her Carlos, & will Clay find another roommate?
I really liked this book. We get more Lacey and Anthony (yum)! We also get Blake her ex which I hope is finished. He just doesn't go with the series. He just keeps getting dragged in and he also drives mf a lil nuts. I hope with the stronger connection with Anthony, Lacey will finally just cut connections. But I had lol moments where I seriously giggled at. Most were of Megs one liners. What I loved the most we get a glimpse of the mysterious Anthony. He's loyal, sweet, and just an overall strong capable guy. Loved Carlos, Clay, and all the other characters that we have come to love. Now, on to the next book.
This book gives more spotlight on Anthony. Even though we don't actually learn much about him, he has more page time than in the previous two books (three if you count the prequel) and he makes his intentions very clear. A rival also appears for him, Blake. He's Lacey's Ex, who wanted to marry. Who still wants to marry her. Of course there's still the usual hijinks and shenanigans, but Lacey also has a little personal growth I like to think in this one.
Going forward, I'd like for there to be more family time, and not just Family time. Also, Meg isn't working for me. I liked her just fine in Sprinkled, and she didn't overtly bother me in Sparkled, but she flat out irritated me in this is one. She's an outrageous character, the Lula of this series, but the author is exaggerating such characteristics too much. And I can only take so many gas, poop, and bowel references.
Lacey Luzzi is at it again! She has another assignment from her grandfather - head of the ‘Family’ and this time her job is to track down the head of a new prostitution ring. Lacey with the help (or rather not a great help) of her best friend Meg, and the electronic mastery of her cousin Clay is investigating... which can only mean things are about to get messy! I love that we are finally getting to know Anthony (the Family’s head of security) a little better... I need more of this!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Miss LaManna hasn't disappointed in her third Lacey Luzzi book. :) As usual, this book is filled with many laugh out loud moments (which could mean trouble if you are reading it in the workplace. :D) Many wacky characters and mostly lovable.. who woulda thunk a person can love a mob family? HeeHee If you are a Stephanie Plum fan, you will love this series. I think is my favorite one so far. It's a pretty quick read and you will laugh your way through it all.
This book was a continuous stream of fun and giggles. Lacey Luzzi is in a class of her own in searching out the jobs for her Mob Boss grandfather. She is awkward and clumsy but a character who will warm your heart. All of the characters in the book are well developed and personality plus!
I’m so happy I stick it out with book one of this series. They have continually gotten better just as I hoped they would. I’m excited to read the next one.
I want to give it 3 1/2 stars only foe the fact that Meg was completely cut out in the middle of the excitement and then awkwardly pops up near the end. Otherwise, I like the book, the characters and the messes that Lacey gets herself in to.
Excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I don't like giving spoilers,so I won't, but I love the whacky ride that is Lacey. I also love sparks by way of Anthony.
This book is another laugh a minute romp with our favorite characters and each book in the series just keeps getting better and better! haha we see a lot of things come to pass in this story (including a trip to the spa for our 2 besties Lacey and Meg: With hilarious results I might add, and even poor Clay gets in on the spa actions -- albeit quite unwillingly!)
Carlos's jobs for Lacey keep getting more and more intense as we progress through the series and you gotta give our girl props she has one heck of an unorthodox way of getting results! and generally needs Anthony's assistance for the dangerous stuff but she totally rocks this whole working for the mob thing. The sense of family is even stronger in this book as we see Lacey becoming more and more used to having this raucous group of people having her back. (And finding new ways to dodge Nora's cookies! Self-preservation at its finest)
The tension between Lacey and Anthony is even more extreme and you can cut the tension with a knife almost! I really like them together haha. She drives him crazy with how she takes risks and dosen't always think everything through and make a plan before she goes out investigating but somehow he always 2 steps ahead and knows the best way to be of assistance ;) but she tries her best to get him to loosen up and just go with it so if gives them this sort opposites attract kind of relationship and it definitely makes them one of my favorite couples (who are not quite a couple yet haha)
The situations keep getting more intense and dare I say it? Cinematic in scope in these stories and this one is the best yet! It really showed off Gina's ability to bring the readers into the story and gives us the clearest picture of what is going on and keeps us enraptured until the very end haha. I always know that with her books when I finish the last page i'm gonna have this moment where you are just sitting there blinking and trying to readjust to the real world again! ( not gonna lie, sometimes it takes me a little bit haha you feel like you got ripped out of this place that you weren't quite ready to leave yet)

This installment made me love Lacey! She's a character and half. I loved her vulnerability and her complete naivety when it came to the two romances I her life. Loved the premise and the sass in this one.
Who knew a mob wedding could be so exciting? Lacey, with her side-kicks Meg and Clay, has stirred up another mess to hysterical proportions. You won't want to miss this second book in the Lacey Luzzi series by Gina LaManna! It has everything you could want and more inside the covers, and Lacey seems to be getting a better grip on her job with her grandfather. It was a fast pace read with continuity from book one and lots of possibilities for book 3! Sometimes I wish Meg would tone it down, but then I stop and think about some of my friends I have had in the past. There were a few "over achievers" in my group not that different from Meg. I guess that is one of the things that make Ms LaManna's books so enjoyable. Her characters are realistic besides being fun and funny. I can't wait to read the next book! You should start from the prequel and read the series in order for best appreciation of Lacey and her antics!
